App Store :: OSX Lion Not Showing In 'Purchases'
May 12, 2012I purchased and installed OSX Lion last year on two machines. I decided yesterday to finally update the last from OS 10.6.8 to Lion but find that 'OSX Lion' is missing from the my 'Purchased' list! The only other App that is missing is 'OSX Lion Server' (surprise surprise...)Â
What is also strange is that on the machines running OS 10.7.4, 'OSX Lion' is not showing as installed in the Mac App Store either! So I could in theory buy 'OSX Lion' again on a machine that is running OSX Lion!Â
How do I get to upgrade my Mac to Lion without buying it needlessly?Â

May 23, 2012I have an older desktop Mac that I have Garageband on, amongst other software. It doesn't have any network access (no network plug nearby, no wifi hardware).I was thinking of updating Garageband so I can upload songs from my iphone version of Garageband to this offline Mac.Can I purchase the necessary upgrade from the Mac App Store via an online Mac, then transfer it to my offline Mac?And if so, can I install the upgrade without needing a network connection for verification or whatever?

Apr 24, 2012I have purchased Garageband from the App Store and it downloaded seamlessly, worked well for the first few hours, on the next launch it wouldn't start unless i download some additional stuff of 1.6GB of size which i did. Once done and started installing it stops at some point before it completes installing and suddenly closes the application, when started again it askes for the download again. I did try downloading again, same scenario. Also, Garageband is not showing in my Purchases section of the MAS.Â

May 30, 2012I accidentally hit the "x" on the "Purcased apps" page of the Mac App Store. I know that if you go to Store -> View My Account and click "View Hidden Purchases" it should show me the purchases that I have hidden, and allow me to "UnHide" them. However when I click on the "View Hidden Purchases" link it leads me to a page that says "You do not have any hidden purchases." I know I do, because it even says "You have hidden 12 items" to the left of the "View Hidden Purchases" link.Â
I know that this seems kinda confusing, it's even confusing to myself but my mind is boggled. I don't understand why it would be saying that I have 12 hidden items, then I click the link to view them and it says I have none. I've tried logging out of and into the app store and restarting my computer.Â

Oct 27, 2009Can someone please help me figure out why it is that iTunes is now requiring that I enter my iTunes password seemingly every day for any new purchases I make, even though I've checked the checkbox to "remember password". I can't be sure but this behavior either started happening when I upgraded to Snow Leopard, or when I upgraded iTunes to version 9. I know this must have been addressed on these forums somewhere, but I wasn't able to come up with any thing meaningful when I did some searching for the answer.

Nov 14, 2009Wut up Mac Peeps, pretty advanced Mac user and I just can't figure out how to delete the hidden partitions that Windows 7 creates. I've installed Windows 7 twice on this HDD with Leopard v.10.5.8 on it and now I have 2 small partitions at 200MB each. This means 4 partitions (1 for Leopard, 1 for Windows 7, and 2 hidden partitions). They don't show up in Disk Utility and I tried removing the entire BootCamp partition, then re-installing Leopard just so that I could configure the HDD to "One Single Partition" with Disk Utility on the Leopard Disc while re-installing and THAT didn't work for the hidden partitions either...couldn't believe it...
I'm hoping I don't have to use a Windows DOS Boot Disc to format or something...not sure if they work on MBPs but I would try...I could also use Seagate HDD Tools but I'm trying to keep this simple.

The problem started because the App Store says I have an app installed when it's not in my Applications folder. Where is it looking to see if an app is installed? There are no receipts I could find.Â
