A few weeks ago I started getting some error messages from my AEBS that I have a couple of HDDs and a printer attached to.
After a long talk with Apple Support the problem mostly went away but now whenever I try to access my AEBS disks from the shared panel in finder is is gives me "connection failed" and I have to click on "Connect As" and enter my password.
The real problem is that no matter what I do I cannot get my keychain to remember the password.
Can't remember keychain password, where can I find it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use two separate websites that use the same service, called Enjin. I used the new iCloud Keychain feature to automatically generate a new password for me that it will remember. iCloud Keychain only remembers the password on one of the sites, and because it's and iCloud generated code, I can't log into the second site.

It would be useful to be able to transfer the password data contained in my MacBookPro app, Keychain, to the iPad iCloud Keychain app. can this be done? If not, is there some other way to transfer the data, or have access to it short of taking the laptop with me.

After using snow leopard for a couple of months I didn't really enjoy it. Applications crashed, plus it was only the beta. I decided to Downgrade to leopard. I backed up using time machine, cleared my HD in Disc Utility, and tried to restore. This didn't work since the default applications were not compatible with Leopard s I had to start fresh then drag my apps and everything manually. After a couple of days, it was all done. Now after 3 months since I downgraded, Keychain is really starting to tick me off. Every time I use an application that requires a password, it never remembers and I always have to type it. I've tried using pacifist and putting back in keychain, nothing. Tried to make a new keychain nothing. Tried to repair, nothing. What is going on here.

Info:MacBookPro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
Safari keeps giving me popup windows saying a keychain can't be found. It's only just started doing this but it's really annoying. Could it have anything to do with the fact I installed a new flash player? That's the only difference I can think of.Also on another computer it keeps asking for a password to access the keychain. It only does this on one user account though. Any assistance is gladly accepted!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a Mac-mini running OS X Tiger. I've got one admin account setup and 5 or so standard accounts. I'm configuring a connection to a shared folder on a network server on the standard accounts and I wanted to connect to that share using an account id that is DIFFERENT than the standard account id. I enter that id and the correct password and I check "save password in keychain" (or whatever that check box says) and I get prompted to enter the "keychain password" to unlock the keychain. The problem is, I never setup a keychain password for the standard user account. I'v tried the password for the administrator account (even though I can't specify the admin id anywhere) and I've tried the password for the standard user account, neither of which work.
However, I can still get successfully connected to the shared folder. I just don't want the user to have to enter the password each time they login.
Additionally, after going through this, Safari is now asking for a keychain password for the "login" keychain when it first starts up and loads the default Apple.com home page.
so, i have gotten everything all set up and up and running but one thing that i have noticed is my network connection disconnecting itself. every time i have closed i the lid it has diconnected itself from the network. i realize that it goes to sleep when that happens and it shouldnt be really doing anything in sleep mode. but im kinda p-o'ed at how when i open it up i need to re enter the networs pass word. is there a way that i can make it so that it automatically connects to the network when its opened/turned on? i checked the box that "saves the password as a keychain" what ever that means too.

View 12 Replies View RelatedSo this morning I changed my OS X password and didn't write it down anywhere. It was something pretty random, and I don't know if I'd even recognize it if I thought of it. I know, I know, I'm an idiot and didn't do anything right here. I'm the only user on this computer, don't have a master password set up, and don't have my install disc for another month and a half (due to my AmeriCorps program I'm moving around a lot and didn't bring it traveling with me). Is there anything I can do short of taking it to an Apple Store?

Is there any way to make Safari only remember the username and not the password of a website when using Autofill? I've noticed that Firefox does this and Facebook does this in Safari when disabling "keep me logged in" (maybe a cookie feature?), and this is the exact behaviour I want.
I use 1Password and thats great, but I'd love to just type my password and automatically have the username show, and not keep having to type in my 1Password keychain's password.
I encrypted a pdf file & can't remember the password for the file. Is there any way to open the pdf?
