I'm running Lion OS 10.7.2 and Version 5.0.1 on my iPhone 4. I have iCloud set up to sync contact, mail, calendars (everything). I have some contacts on my Macbook that are not on my iPhone. IT is supposed to conform them all automatically.
I know this has been covered before as I have seen various threads about this but I haven't solved my issue. I'm having trouble with my iCloud account and more importantly syncing bookmarks and mail.Â
I have an iPhone 4S and iPad 1 which both sync booksmarks and mail fine, I also have an iMac (Lion) which doesn't! Bookmarks don't sync between the mac and iphone/ipad for some weird reason which is my main problem.
Also, I have literally just had an email come through on my phone, but 'Mail' on my iMac says theres nothing, even when I click the 'Get new messages in all accounts' button on the top left of the Mail app, nothing new comes through. It's very strange.Â
I have a MacBook Pro and an iPhone 4.I signed up for iCloud using a gmail address. I checked and its the same for both devices.Contacts seems to be syncing with iPhone, but NOT with MacBook?Calendar seems to be syncing with both?
Sometimes works, sometimes not. IS there a way to force sync them? My ipad currently shows 335 contacts, and my Mac Lion, and iphone show 79.
I have a ton of data on the ipad that I want to access from all devices. Wierdly enough, SOMETIME the transfer occurs, sometimes not. This morning I entered a new contact on the iPad, and it instantly appeared on the Mac and iphone. So why don't the other 280 or so do that!?
After years of bad behavior from .Mac and then MobileMe, now iCloud is ALSO not syncing my calenddar events between my computers and my iPhone.Â
The only way I can make my computers sync with each other and my phone is by going to Calendar/Refresh All on the menu bar in Calendar. I thought this was supposed to happen automatically.Â
It sure seems that syncing in iCloud is just as annoying and broken as it was with .Mac and MobileMe.
I have a mac mini, a macbook, iphone and ipad. I upgraded from mobileme to icloud recently. Â
on my mac mini i have 833 contacts, I am syncing with iCloud, but icloud is only showing 750 contacts.Â
I have checked my mac mini for a group that says 'on my mac' and i don't have one, it's not showing in my group list which means that theres no contacts in there.Â
Under the iCloud group on my mac mini, when i click 'All contacts' the missing contacts are in there. (these include my boyfriend and my dad!) yet these contacts are not on icloud.com, my iphone or ipad...Â
I seem to have baffled iCloud support and am still waiting for a resolution
Is there some way they may be in an 'on my mac' account and not showing somehow? but then i dont understand how they'd appear under all contacts in the icloud account.Â
I have all my contacts stored in my Address Book on my iMac which have synced to iCloud but I cannot get them from iCloud to my Address Book on my MacBook Pro.Â
My iCloud settings are set correctly

I have a HTC and so to sync my contacts to my mac I've synced the 'on my mac' account to my google contacts. I also have an active iCloud account and so I have duplicate contacts. Is there any way to either sync google to iCloud directly or to sync iCloud to the 'on my mac' account? I want to remove the duplicates and and the need to update accounts separately?

I have noticed my contacts on my macbook are not synchronizing with iCloud. I have 20 contacts more on my matchbook than I have in iCloud. Since I have more than 500 contacts I don't know which ones I'm missing.I also have double contacts in my 'all contacts' but I cannot delete them. I trust my iCloud contacts, but there are at least 20 contacts missing there.Â
Contacts v9.0 under Yosemite (but problem was there under previous version) on Autumn 2012 iMac. I only have contacts on iCloud active.Â
Whenever Contacts is open the grey spinning sync wheel is present at the top of the list of folders next to the word iCloud.Â
This means that when ever I try to scroll up or down the list of contacts this is jerky. Also there are some contacts that I cannot delete (or at least when I do, they re appear about 5 seconds later) and I am unable to add some contacts to some of the folders. In other words contacts seems to have a mind of it's own.Â
When I log into iCloud using Safari I can delete Contacts entries. However I then get the following error message from Contacts running on my iMac - "The operation couldn’t be completed. (CoreDAVErrorDomain error 1.)"Â

My wife and I both have a .mac/.me account. She runs iphone 4s & ipad 2 whilst I run iphone 3gs, macbook and imac. All now run IOS5/Lion and I transferred last week from mobile me to icloud. However, with mobileme we used to share contacts and calendars. I've worked out how we can continue to see a 'joint' calendar' [by adding my account to her iphone for calendar only] but cannot seem to do the same in respect of shared contacts.Â
We both have our own contacts which must stay on our own devices but I had assumed that the sharing of mutual data that was submitted by either of us via any our devices would be easier via icloud. Instead it seems harder since icloud has to attach to one or other of our identities, unlike mobile me. Obviously I can go through Clare's contacts in icloud and manually delete each individual of my contacts, but how do I add my contacts that she wants also on an ongoing basis?Â
On my Mountain Lion iMac, I enable Contacts Syncing across my devices.A few minutes later, the Mac is totally useless as "AddressBookSourceSync" uses up to 6.6 Gb of RAM..Nothing is then possible. Even opening a Finder's window takes 20 seconds. Rollover the Dock takes one minute. iMac 2011 with 8Gb of RAM and Mountain LionÂ

A friend has an iPhone 5 (iOS 7.1) and a Mac Book Pro (OSX Lion). He wanted the contacts from his Gmail account to appear on his iPhone. This was easy enough - I just added his Gmail account to his iPhone under Mail, Contacts Calendars.Â
The problem - we want all of these contacts to sync with his Mac. Both if the iPhone and Mac have iCloud enabled with the same account. Accounts are set to sync. However, the only contacts appearing on him Mac are the ones that were already there. It's not syncing all accounts from his iPhone.Â
I just upgraded to icloud yesterday. All my contacts synced okay, but when I enter a new contact in address book on my computer it doesn't show up in icloud online or on my iphone. When I enter them in my iphone address book, they do show up in icloud and on my mac. Â
I'm not exactly sure of where to post this... I'm having a problem with my computer (Address Book, I believe) syncing w/ Google contacts. I'm getting the following error messages:
The first image is the original error that comes up. If I click More Info, it brings me to a list of contacts. The "Before" info contains the correct fields for their email addresses (e.g., school, work, etc). However, Google wants to get rid of these fields.
Is there any way I can get Google to accept this fields? Also, can I have Google revert to my Mac's info instead of the other way around (my mac using Google's changes)
[1] Podcasts if played on the computer *will not* sync correctly with mobile device; the podcast on the iPhone will ALWAYS overwrite the podcast on the computer (i.e., if podcast played most recently on computer, but still unplayed on iPhone, podcast will show as unplayed on computer after sync).
[2] Podcasts if played on the iPhone *will* sync correctly with the Mac (i.e., if podcast most recently played on iPhone, podcast will show as partially played or completely played, at the correct stopping point, on Mac after sync).
[3] Songs on the iPhone when playing will sometimes begin in the middle of the song - as though if they were a podcast picking up where I left off. The songs are all iTunes Store purchases, and they are correctly marked as Music, with the "remember playback position" box left UNCHECKED.
Wanted to ask whether other folks are having similar issues, and if so, whether they've been able to find a solution. If not, and you're having a similar problem, wanted to ask if you could take a quick second to send a quick feedback/bug report to Apple: [URL]
Historically, I've seen Apple be responsive to customer issues - but it's on us to let them know this is a problem.
It seems that the contacts app has suddenly become incapable of accessing my contacts in the cloud. Its fine on icloud.com, its fine on my phone, and its fine on my ipads. However, I'm getting an error message right now which I think must be to do with an update to Little Snitch which I did almost immediately before, and which necessitated a reboot. Since the reboot, I am seeing the following
Of course, this also means Messages doesnt work. LS is not blocking any icloud things, and calendars and mail are still working with no issues.Â
After upgrade software on iPhone (with iCloud) contacts on MAC (Snow Leopard) are no mre sync with iPhone....
As some time hase passed by and I did not notice it immediatly, now I have all updated contacts on iCloud and no moe on Mac; how can I import contacts from iCloud to Mac contacts in snow leopard?

I'm helping a friend setup a new Mac and they're trying to sync contacts from their Windows laptop running Exchange/Outlook. They want to sync the contacts from there to the Mac's Address Book application. Just the contacts...nothing else. They have an iPhone and a MobileMe account. It'd be preferable if the solution was some type of free one. I tried setting up Exchange ActiveSync direct to the Mac Address Book but the Exchange server isn't 2007.
We tried setting up the iPhone with the Exchange ActiveSync and that did sync the contacts. However, there doesn't seem to be a way to bring those contacts from the iPhone to the Mac Address Book. I was thinking of running some kind of plugin (Yahoo or Google?) on Outlook to sync the contacts and then setting up the sync in the Address Book. MobileMe is out as an option there as the MobileMe sync on a PC doesn't work if Outlook is with Exchange.
For some reason I'm finding this harder than I should! I'm ticking the check box to tell Address Book to sync with Google, and it accepts my username and password fine. The problem is nothing gets synced. I have a full Address Book but nothing gets moved over to Google Contacts.
I've been trying to sync all of my contacts off my old sony ericsson phone onto my macbook, so I can then sync them onto my shiny new android. How do I do this? Every time I use iSync nothing happens.
My contacts are no longer syncing from my iMac to my iPhone, however they ARE syncing from my iPhone to my iMac. Both are signed in to the same iCloud account and both have contacts selected. This is fairly recent, possibly when I updated to Yosemite. What am I missing?

This should be easy, brand new SL install and an existing gmail account. I have the email configured. Have calendar configured and syncing. But contacts, when I set up syncing in Address book, nothing syncs. When I exit Address Book and reenter, the option to sync with Google is no longer checked. I re-enable it and it does the same all over again. When I try the process with another account, it works like a charm. So what does that mean? How can I "fix" the gmail account in question to get it syncing?
As I do not have any AT&T service and I am stuck on "The Big Red" I am more than likely going to make the jump to the Android bandwagon. So, in preparation I am attempting to set up my Address Book to sync with my Google Contacts and I am not having any luck. I am running Snow Leopard with full updates. I go into the Address Book preferences and check "Synchronize With Google" and enter in my information. And...nothing happens. I found a thread saying you can force sync by clicking on the sync arrows at the top of the screen and going to sync now. This managed to sync about half of my contacts on the first try. I then tried a second time and it synced another quarter of my contacts, leaving about 30 to go. For the contacts it did sync, this system worked perfectly.
