My mobileme account will be terminated on 30 Jun 2012.I want to know how to backup my gallery and photos to icloud. I know that there is photo steaming, however this is not what I want to achieve. I want to save all my galleries there again. It is due to this question, I have not yet buy the extra space from icloud.
Can I use iCloud to back up and then return my files for system restroe? I just wanna back up my music and photos so I can do a system restore if I have iCloud will it allow me to download them back on once I finish the system restore?
I'm getting ready to install Leopard, but I want to make sure all of my data is backed up first. What is the easiest/recommended way to back up my photo's that are in IPhoto to my external hard drive?
I am using an Intel MacBook 2.4 Mhz 2Gb RAM and OS 10.6.5. Time Machine has never successfully backed-up so I have been using Backup which works fine. However I now want to restore just a couple of photos from my iphoto library. Is this possible because it only seems to offer the option of restoring the whole library?
I have a MacBook and use iphoto. I have about 18000 pictures on it and now there is no more free space on my computer. I bought a Time Capsule and thought I would just move the photos to it. I also have other photos on two separate hard drives from an old PC. I moved some of the photos to the Time Capsule, but now I cannot view them like I can the photos on my MacBook. When I had a PC, I would just use the PC viewing program (that came with the computer) and select a drive and view the photos, but with iphoto I cannot seem to figure out how to view the photos that are on a separate drive (Time Capsule). So now I have a Time Capsule with about 9000 photos (half of what is on my MacBook) and I do not know how to view them. Also, I would like to back everything up on a web based platform like Carbonite. If anyone has any advise, ideas, suggestions, comments, etc.
When I open photos stored on an external hard drive, I can edit; print; or view them, but if I make any changes, it won't let me save them as they are "locked".
I have the latest iMac - OS X Mavericks. I recently shifted from Windows to iMac. I am a photographer and have thousands of pictures in my external hard-drive (Western Digital) that I have backed up by folder name (YYYY-MM-DD) using windows. But, now I have started using my iMac and planning to backup my new pictures stored in iPhoto library. I am not sure how can get the original pictures by year, month and day from iPhotos and copy them in external drive using the same folder structure - YYYY-MM-DD.Â
Not sure how to do this simpler. At this time I tried to go to iPhoto, then do Reveal in finder, go to that folder, select all my files, copy them, go to external harddrive, create a folder - YYYY-MM-DD and copy them. I can do this for each hundreds of folder sitting in my iPhoto.Â
I have a mini and 5 other devices on the same apple ID. All of my existing photos made it to the photo stream when I originally signed up for icloud. Now, when we upload new photos from our camera onto our mini, they won't go to the cloud. I can't find the icloud icon anywhere on my mini anymore.
Info:Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.6.8), I have a free agent terra byte HD
I have a lot of pictures on my Mac, and I don't want to include them in photo stream. They are all in the "Pictures" folder, but I have only imported a few of them into iPhoto. WIll all my pictures be included or just those in iPhoto? I think it's just the imported ones but I want to be sure before I set up the storage & backup in iCloud.
I'm using iCloud and popped a couple of images I'd just processed into iPhoto on my iMac.Â
Went to my MBP so I could upload the images to my website - they appeared in iPhoto in very quick time (impressive) but I needed to locate them in "finder" so I could upload them but had the devil of a time finding them, and still haven't.Â
I used to use dropbox for this - maybe I'll go back. It was so easy!Â
Info: MacBook Pro (15-inch Late 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.3)
I have been trying to sent photos packaged as a 31.2 MB PDF file, using iCloud and it will not send it. It says connection error with server. Is this file to large?Â
I have a older G4 running 10.4. All of (nearly) my photos and music are on that computer. I also have a Mac BookPro running 10.7. My phone, laptop and new ipad are on icloud. Is there any way of transferring my data from the old computer to cloud.
Is is possible to access photos on an iPhone that were taken more than 30 days ago. I had my iPhone stolen, I'd used it for 6 months without ever syncing it to any computer, and since it was nicked I bought a MacBook Pro in hopes that through iCloud I could get all the data from my phone but only a few recent photos showed up in Photo Stream, not all the others. Any way to go back in time for the lost photos?
