Is there any possible way to get it back? I was trying to change the names of folders, from lower case to upper case, and I got a message telling me that I couldn't do that, because there was already a folder like that.
I saw an extra folder, and clicked on it, but there appeared to be nothing in it, so I chose Delete from the menu. Only to find out it was the real folder with many other folders inside.
I'm using Mac Mail, OS X 10.4.11 -- I did NOT choose Erase Deleted Messages from the menu yet . Is there still hope to recover all those deleted messages.
I deleted the mail app by accident is there any way to get it back? would prefer without the install cd but if this is the only way will have to find it?
I am an educator and my school system "upgraded" their Exchange Server and subsequently put Outlook on my computer. I configured Mail to pop over from Outlook, but now, I can't delete an email sent to my school email account without opening up Outlook and deleting it....it just keeps reappearing in my inbox. The problem is not the same on my iPhone or iPad, just on my MacBook Pro. So, I go for several days while the emails pile up, then open up Outlook and delete them one by one when I can't stand it anymore. Also, when Outlook is open, my computer runs at about 1/2 speed...everything slows and bogs down. Can I just delete Outlook from my computer?
i have a hotmail email address i use, i have been using mac lion mail here the problem - i found loads of my emails missing when using hotmail webpage but in MacMail they are all there still.i found that in macmail settings "remove copy from server after retrieving a message" was selected(after one week). (now i have disabled this function) how can i send them back to the hotmail server email box?
I was downloading some fonts from [URL] because I was going to use them in some software. Now it told me to just double click the file and hit "install" I did that and then this window came up and I hit the little + sign to add them. And then it started copying all my fonts I think? I stopped it and then it sowed a bunch of them that were not there? So I basically hit the install button it came up with coulombs in one window. The left coulomb had a list of my name my computer and all that. The middle coulomb said the three fonts I wanted to install.
So in the bottom on the middle coulomb there was a little plus sign + I hit it and it looked like it started copying all my fonts. So now I am stuck. Also once I had canceled the install/copy/who knows what. There was a message under I believe 4-6 fonts that were all in the middle coulomb that said some warning! About the font having multiple or something. Also is said I could use a command to resolve this or something? I don't want to damage my computers software!
Relatively new to Mac. Accidentally deleted Preview from my Macbook Pro. Sorta a bummer in terms of viewing PDFs and other image files. Have searched Apple.com but haven't been able to find a place to download the program and reinstall.
My iTunes got put in trash and deleted. How can I bring it back. I tried downloading it from apple.com but it is not working. I cant gat the little iTunes icon to show up on my dock. I found my iTunes library with all my songs but I can't get iTunes to show up or open.
She just got an iPhone and I am trying to teach her to use the calender. I went onto her Mac to set up the sync (via Mobile Me) and realized that in her messing around on the computer she has somehow managed to erase iCal. And its not just that she moved the icon or anything simple like that but she has actually somehow deleted the app! I have no idea how she managed that, and neither does she. She is using OS X 10.5.8 I tried to reinstall it from the original install disc by using Pacifist (it is not an option to just install iCal for some reason from the start-up disc). But the version of iCal that it installs will not run. A message pops up saying that the version of iCal can not be run on this computer. (Or maybe it says ...on this operating system. I can't remember) I checked and the version that it tried to install is iCal 2.0.5 So I tried a system update and it said everything was up to date. how do I get iCal back? I don't want to have to reinstall everything.
is there anyway of getting it back? is it in the Mac OS X install DVD? if it is, will it format my hard drive, my apps or anything? im kinda scared to pop it in...
