Why is safari opening webpages in a blank black page?

When I try to download on Safari using Adobe Reader I get a blank, black page. I've re-downloaded Adobe Reader, but I get the same results.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7)
How should I do to open Safari with a blank page and not with the previews one?Â
I use Safari 5.1.6 and Mac OS 10.7.4
Info:
Mac OS X (10.7.4)
My Safari homepage is blank. Bookmarks and toolbar are there but my Earthlink page and address bar are blank. The Safari version is 3.1.2 and the OSX is 10.4.11 My Internet Explorer (which I rarely use) and Firefox are working fine.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis has just recently started happening...when I type in a web address such as [URL] it will pop up and then disappear to a blank screen or some other websites just come up blank....does anyone know how I can fix this. My friend just started a new company and I can't even look at her site because it comes up a white blank screen and apparently I am the only who is having this problem. I have reset Safari and even clean up my hard drive with Onyx. Please help!!! Also, I have seen other post regarding this problem and I have clicked on the links for software for parasites but they all seem to be for Windows. I am running Safari on a Macbook 10.4.11
View 13 Replies View RelatedI got three e-mails that didn't load right or something. When I try to load them they are just blank. They come back every time I open up mail and I can't get rid of them. Besides deleting them (which makes them just not be bold) I have tried moving them to different folders and marking them as junk and nothing will get them out of my inbox. Two of the e mails are from one of my mail accounts and the other one is from a separate account.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI seem to be having a hell of a time with all google related things. About 50% of the time I can't get to the google search page and get the error message Safari can't open the page [URL] because Safari can't connect to the server. When I am able to get into gmail, I am constantly being disconnected from gchat, like every 5 minutes. When it disconnects, it will try to reconnect, most of the time unsuccessfully. I then get the error message, unable to reach gmail please check your internet connection. This happens no matter what browser I use. However, when I try to connect from my husband's PC (same network), everything is fine. I've tried emptying my safari cache, tried uninstalling and re-installing both safari and firefox, and I am out of ideas. Any ideas about what is going on, and how I might fix this issue. I searched through the google help, and there were similar problems posted (none recently), but no answers on how to solve the issue. This has been going on for about a week now, and it's driving me up a wall.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've returned from work and Safari wont load (kids may have done something, they say not).
Home page wont load just a white blank page then the error message the application Safari quite unexpectedly Mac OS X and other apps are not affected.
It doesn't matter if I relaunch, report or close / restart it happens again. I don't have Firefox any more so I cant try that.
You can close or dismiss tabs in Safari with the X on the tab until you get to the last one. How can I dismiss the content there and get a blank page, similar to the way Safari in iOS 5 works.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince a while for some reason safari decides to reload all my tabs open in the browser. A sandball pops up and the webpages I am currently working in turns blank. When I switch to another opened tab this one turns also blank and reloads. This is pretty annoying and consumes a lot of time. How can I overcome this problem? My system is a MacBook Pro early 2011, OS X lion with all updates.

My Uncle just purchased a new Macbook Pro with Snow Leopard and he is having trouble accessing certain sites such as [URL] but has no problem accessing other sites like Apple or Google from Safari.
I tried to troubleshooting the issue by resetting Safari and by deleting the com.apple.safari.plist preference file in his home directory but he still has the problem.
I'm not sure if it is related, but I had to have him change the port from 5190 to 443 in iChat in order to connect to his AIM account so I could screen-share with him.
Also, he uses AOL mail and I was able to get it set up in Apple Mail but it is very sluggish to download.
He is using either Cisco or Linksys router and range extender and he said that his Windows computers have no problems connecting to any sites.
My clients say that their Mac which is running Safari 5.1.5 won't open their web site which is: [URL]
I've asked about 5 other people to see if they could open it up on a mac using Safari. So far, everyone can open it except for my client. The site is created with wordpress. It's not redirecting. Â
I'm really not sure which Mac they have or their operating system. I just chose two so that I could submit this ticket. Â
What in the world would stop them from being able to see the site? They can go to other sites.Â

I have a love/hate relationship with Safari right now. I love the actual browser, I hate the fact it won't allow me to download a thing. I'm not talking about downloading from illegal sites or going through any page redirects, I cannot download a thing at all. My page goes to a blackish screen and stops or it just stalls, flashes once and nothing happens.
Here's what I've checked for:
1). No, I don't have Speed Download installed or a plug-in/filter for it.
2). I don't have a com.apple.safari.plist file or even a safari folder in Application Support.
3). I'm running Lion 10.7.3 and Safari 5.1 currently.
I've even uninstalled/reinstalled Safari with no luck. What the heck is going on with Safari???

In Safari, I am no longer able to print web .pdf documents. The print screen pops up, however the preview document shows a blank page. I am able to print in Firefox, so this has to be a Safari problem. I have checked my Internet Plug In files and there is no Adobe plug in as suggested by others in similar questions. Turning on/off the computer has not helped either. Nor has Open PDF in Preview. I'm using an iMac with Lion and an HP Photosmart C4700 printer.
