I want to subscribe a magazine for Mac. Which one? Macworld, MacLife,...? Suggestions!
I've got a magazine project due in the coming weeks. I'm looking for a program that will have some type of templates for magazines?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have tried to subscribe to iCal on my Mac Intel Aeon 10.5.6 but I keep receiving the following error:
Error subscribing to the calendar
-Data downloaded from [URL]
In the new iCloud, is it possible possible to subscribe to calendars (as it was in iCal)? I used to be able to see such calendars as: [code]
None of these were migrated when I moved from iCal to iCloud today. Is there anyway to migrate them, modify and import, re-subscribe?I do not care if I have to do something new; so be it. But to be unable to track these (or other) calendars would be a shame.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 15", 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo
On iTunes, all of my podcasts have become unsubscribed--and I can't figure out how to subscribe again. Nothing happens when I hit the subscribe button; when I right-click on the podcast and choose "subscribe" from the menu; or even when I go to the iTunes store and hit subscribe?Â
I think the issue may have resulted from when my iPhone Podcast app was synced, but I've since turned off syncing across products.
I need some kind of free software to make like a magazine or newspaper.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a macbook pro retina. I have adobe lightroom, powerpoint. I DON'T want to download some new application that'll take me years to figure out. or charge me. I have a blog and I want to make it into a magazine. I tried to minimize the screen to take a screenshot and load it manually, page by page, but I can't get the page to zoom out far enough. I don't feel like what I want to do is that unorthodox, yet there doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this. The blog is at rosendude.blogspot.com. Ideally, I'd like each article to be one page and the front page to be the cover.

For example, a question that i may have asked a year ago but want to continue following up on in case there is a reply? I have about 20 threads on this forum bookmarked and would like an easier way to keep up with them. I've only seen the availability to check a main page or subforum..but it seems like there should be something else available.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have searched everywhere for this with no luck. I am new to iWeb. I just created a site in iWeb and a blog. Currently my blog has a RSS subscription button that iWeb put in.
But how do I allow users to subscribe to my blog via email? How do I put a tab/button, etc. on the blog so that users can be notified of new blog entries via email?
I have just purchased an iMac, my first experience after many years with a Windows PC. Do I need to subscribe to a security package such as McAfee? The sales person told me that the iMac has its own protection and firewalls but I just wanted to check as I am not very technically proficient.
Info:
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2)
Just migrated to a new iMac via migration assistant. All settings appear correct but as it attempts to download the latest episode of a podcast I subscribe to I get an error message stating "you do not have sufficient privileges."Is this "reauthorizing" the new computer?

It was just too fitting with this month's issue of wired to not show everyone how I carry my MBA most of the time when I'm 'off the clock'.
I throw the MBA into whatever magazine I'm currently into, and out the door I go. Funny thing is, when it's under your arm being carried in a newspaper or a magazine, most people don't even notice it.
Tablet devices, and more specifically Apple's iPad, are bound to forever alter the landscape for print and digital publishers, as evidenced by captivating concepts such as motion magazines like one being worked on by Alexx Henry Photography for Viv magazine (videos included).
Together with co-directors Cory Strassburger and Ming Hsiung, the firm recently produced a so-called "motion magazine cover" and feature spread for the all digital magazine, enabling it create content that will come to life on the iPad and other tablet devices where digital magazines are expected to thrive.
In a behind the scenes video covering the making of the motion cover that was sent to planet5D, Alexx Henry and partner Andrew Gant describe how they were able to "put motion into print" in ways never seen before.
The living art interactive motion spread was shot with Red Digital's latest RED ONE camera and new Mysterium-X sensor, allowing them to capture the energy of a still-life action shoot with the motion of a blockbuster film. In addition to action spreads, this enables them to "present a story" to readers before the final frame of their motion covers.
The production team shot all of their living models on a green screen at a high frame rate and slowed them down, so when the action stops, the textual article can appear. After constructing their own 3D environment, they composited the photography and did all the camera moves. The end result is a motion spread that sends readers on a journey, introducing them to each article while giving them time to read or the freedom to move on at their own pace.
"As photographers, we can build off the foundations that work really well in print, because in the end, we aren't making moving pictures," Henry says. "That's what movies do. We're creating pictures that move.
