Mar 8, 2008I've been using my Logitech MX1000 for a long time now with USB Overdrive and it's been fantastic. Being able to use the extra buttons to serve different purposes on a per-application basis has been amazing.
I just bought a Logitech Wave keyboard, which is great, but I ended up installing the Logitech Control Center since I couldn't find a way to configure the extra keys and I wanted volume controls, etc via the keyboard. The LCC software took care of this with flying colors, but it seems to also take control of my mouse and replaces the settings I had from USB Overdrive.
Basically what I'm asking is... is it possible to disable the mouse settings in LCC so it only sets up the key configurations on my keyboard? If not... is there some software available similar to USB Overdrive, but instead lets you configure all of the keys on your keyboard?
OS X V10.7 Lion :: Disable Mouse Shortcuts (mission Control, Etc) In Games?
Jun 10, 2012I just installed the new Deus Ex: Human Revolution from the App Store and I'd like to use the multiple mouse buttons my Logitech mouse has in my game. I can set up the controls to use various buttons in the game, but I also have the same mouse buttons set up in the System Preferences to be used for mouse shortcuts. The problem is, when I try to use the game, the "All Applications" or the "Show Desktop" shortcuts kick in instead of the games setup controls. How can I disable the Mouse Shortcuts for the system while I'm in the game?

IMac :: Mouse Pointer Out Of Control - Not Allow Clicks
Apr 27, 2009Today I was working with my iMac without any problem, suddenly the mouse pointer start behaving very odd, when I tried to click an icon, menu or whatever the mouse start moving not allowing me do the work, I changed the wireless mouse suspecting was a hardware problem but when I connected the USB mouse I got the same problem, then I shutdown the iMac but after starting I got the same problem. I suspect is a trojan virus but I heard that Leopard operating system is very robust and virus is not currently a problem.

Dec 14, 2009My i7 iMac arrived today with no screen issues and no major problems at all (after scouring the forums the past few weeks, I was a nervous wreck waiting for it). I ordered on Black Friday and believe I have one of the most recent batches with, I cross-my-fingers hope, none of the screen problems that have been reported. However, I am about to gouge my eyes out because of a blasted erratic mouse issue in OSX. I am using a Razer Naga (though it is still a problem with every other mouse I hook up) and regardless of the settings, the cursor is jumpy and impossible to control at times.
I am Bootcamp running Win7 64 and have zero mouse issues on that side of the computer. Its only when I boot into OSX that I have the mouse problems. I have tried the Naga drivers and two USB/Mouse shareware apps, all to no avail. Otherwise, the iMac runs like a dream. In WoW with Ultimate Settings I get 50 fps in Dalaran and 120+ out flying in the world. LotRO runs great as well -- with the recommended settings I am at around 60 fps at all times, even standing at the Prancing Pony in Bree.
OS X :: How To Disable Imac Keyboard And Mouse While In Sleep Mode
Mar 2, 2009I like putting my imac to sleep. Unfortunately I have a cat that moves the mouse and steps on the keyboard while I am work. Is there any way I can disable the keyboard and mouse and just use the power button to wake it up from sleeping?
I basically want to keep it asleep as much as possible to save on electricity, since I am not home about 10 hours of the day and asleep for the other 7, makes no sense in draining all the electricity. I was hoping someone could lead me to a small piece of software that allow this to happen.
IMac :: Cannot Use Secondary Click On Magic Mouse With I7
Mar 19, 2010I've had a 27in i7 for a few weeks now and it's been working great. Just the other day, I set up a second user account on the machine for my wife. After messing with some of the preferences under the new profile, I realised that the mouse wouldn't "right-click" at all in that user account. I go into Preferences>Mouse and check the secondary click box, but this has no effect. When I close Preferences and open again, the box is un-checked. This problem is only in the new user account. My own, original administrator account has no such problem - right-click is working fine.

Aug 9, 2010I had to dissassemble my wireless Mighty Mouse to clean it properly, as the trackball was unable to scroll up and down. As I had cleaned the trackball, I attached the two internal cables to their respective "slots" again and assembled the mouse.
Now my right button does the same as the left button (right click = left click). I tried dissassembling the mouse again, but I cannot see what I could have done wrong. After all, there are only two cables to attach and de-attach inside it.

Feb 12, 2007I just bought a mighty mouse, happy as I was, plugged it in and started my ibook running OS X 10.3.9.I know the mighty mouse shouldn't have full functionality (as the software delivered with it is >10.4.2).The problem is that the right click doesn't work right. When I try to right click it sometimes takes the right click, sometimes takes it as a left click (which is extremely annoying in firefox or finder).
I have SteerMouse (I'm a windows/linux user too) installed but when I de�nstalled it the problem remained.
When I plugged the mighty mouse in my pc (at that time running windows) right click just worked.When using a cheap mouse (from pleomax) the right click on the ibook (with Steermouse installed) works all the time.
I find this al really confusing. Seems like it can't be the hardware because it works on windows, but it can't be the software because another mouse does work.
I noticed that when right clicking at the total right side near the "expose-button" (not a position my fingers lay naturally) right click works all the time. I don't hope this is normal?

Control click stopped working and does not give me a contextual menu in the finder or any other program (including Stickies or Word) anymore.
I tried resetting Keyboard & Mouse System Preferences to default. I looked for Finder preference, or Finder preference file (it used to be "com.apple.finder.plist" according to an old 2005 forums.Macrumors post) but i could not find one.
I just reinstalled Leopard a couple of weeks ago, and do not want to go thru that again if i can avoid it.
Applications :: Safari 5 Control-click Doesn't Work In Content Area?
Jun 10, 2010Control-click has stopped working for me in Safari 5's content area.
It works fine when clicking on Safari's toolbars and it also works fine in every other app including Finder.
A complete reinstall of Safari 5 didn't solve the problem.
I tried deleting every preference file and cache file I could find but that didn't help. And fixing various permissions and other things in Onyx had no effect.

i dont have a clue what happened, now whenever i reboot the desktop screen loads up icons and then the desktop gets about an inch bigger and offset, when i move my mouse the entire desktop moves along with it about an inch in each direction.

she opened the laptop - and it looked like someone was controlling her screen remotely...the mouse was moving around, hopping, fluttering...applications were changing, menus were being selected...all very random and jumpy we could not override the mouse ourselvesÂ
asfter a few restarts...we managed do a time machine backup...but are not sure what to do next.Â

Hardware :: Wireless Logitech Mouse - Cannot Control Movements
Sep 17, 2009So I've got three Logitech mouses:
MX 510
MX 518
MX 1100 (wireless)
I used to own the Logitech S530 keyboard/mouse combo as well. What I've noticed is this (and it drives me insane). Both my 510 and 518 move perfectly, as in, its the same consistent movement, whether its fast motion or slow with the mouse. The MX 1100 has the same 'issue' as the S530; the control is god damn weird. Moving across the screen quickly feels like there's some kind of 'smoothing' (kind of like in some games where it would enable smooth mouse), and I just can't get used to pressing on onscreen buttons and such that require a bit more precision, because slowing down mouse movement gives me completely different control.
For example, if in photoshop and using the lasso tool to precisely cutout an object, it completely screws me up, because a slight jerk will send the mouse flying, there's no 'in between' it seems, and there's definitely no consistency. Both the 510 and 518 (gaming mouse!) have the same speed no matter what the situation. Is there any way to have any of the Logitech Wireless mouses behave the same as my other two? Or is this a technology issue with the internals? I keep going back to my wired mouses.

Well my answer is I livestream using a broadcasting software which is called xSplit, which is Windows only Anyways, the problem is that when I play minecraft with my magic mouse, the slightest movement switches weapons/tools and this is really annoying. How do I disable scrolling on the Windows 7 side of my iMac?
