has anyone had problems with Macsword?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently got a new Macbook Pro 15 and love it. I recently went to "all images" in my hard drive and realized that my laptop took every single email attachment from my email (this includes videos, pictures, and documents) and put it on my hard drive. I had over 3500 pictures I didn't want! Why did it do this and how do I ensure that it doesn't happen again?)
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Rev B 1.86 SSD MBA.
It doesnt play 720p HD youtube smoothly. Jerky not coz of internet connection as I have 10 Mbps and up.
My question is 2.13 MBA able to handle 720p?
If the next MBA uses i7 (according to Scottdale), will that handle 720p? How about 1080p?
Or maybe 1.86 can handle HD, but I need to optimize it?
I'm using MacOSX and Mac Mail. The cub scouts send a weekly newsletter via Scouttrack. When I view this on the Mac, I cannot see any attachments; it's like they are not there at all. When I view it from Outlook on a PC, it doesn't show the little paper clip, but when I open the email, then I can see that the attachments are there.
Is there any way to get the mail application on the Mac to recognize that there are attachments in the email??
I am noticing some strange behaviour in the way Apple Mail handles attachments. If you create a new email, type some text, drag an image in your email, type some more text below the email, Apple Mail will attach the image as well as the text below the image as attachments. While this does work properly with other Apple Mail users, this is problematic when sending emails to users of other mail clients (I tested with Microsoft Outlook Web Access; the same happens in Microsoft Outlook itself). Users of other mail clients will then receive an email, containing only the text you typed above the image, while the text you typed below the image will be attached to your mail as a separate attachment. Basically breaking your email. Looking at the RAW email content you can indeed clearly see Apple Mail has cut up the email into seperate attachments. Is there any way to resolve this issue? I read somewhere about a property 'SendWindowsFriendlyAttachments' in com.apple.mail.plist, however that property is not present any more (Apple Mail 3.2). Some images to illustrate the issue: How you compose the email in Apple Mail (3.2): How a recipient will receive the email.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI work for a company that has thousands of E-tickets coming in daily, weekly, monthly, etc..These tickets come in bafhakfbaifh.pdf and we have to manually rename them or print them all out and then sort through them and put them in order. What I would like to do is:
1. Split any pdf's that have more than one page or "ticket" in my case. I know how to do this with automator easily, but I'd love to keep it all in one program.
2. Search the file for Event Name (i.e. Madonna)
3. Search the file for Date of event (August 12, 2012)
4. Search the file for Section, Row, Seat (124 3 12)
5. Rename the file based on content found (Madonna August 12 2012 124 3 12.pdf)
6. Move from original download folder to organized folders based on artist/team.
7. Automatically print in alphabetical or some sort of designated order.
So far, I found a PC program called A-PDF rename, but it is not automated enough to be practical. Hazel is awesome at OCRing the pdf and moving from folder to folder, but does not do enough.Â

I cannot send mail. This has been an occasional problem. I'd send and a pop-up would offer me choice: Cancel, ~Trash, or Save as Draft. I'd save and successfully send as a draft. The last few days I've had to the saved draft and send in Eudora. Today I spent some time on this. At first it looked all right in Mail/Preferences/Accounts, smtp.west.cox.net.user name--then it persistently included (Offline), but Mail menu bar/ Window showed Take All Accounts Online dimmed and Take All Accounts Offline as the active option. At this time I could receive but not send mail. I have edited the smtp server list a number of times. No show of offline there. When I'm done (Offline) again pops up on theOutgoing Mail Server (SMTP). I deleted the account and recreated it and could not send. The (Offline) did not appear after the smtp.cox.net.user name. Early 2006 iMac, OS 10.6.8  The settings are OK, the same as in Eudora.

Does anyone know of internet filter software for mac that blocks individual potentially pornographic images, in addition to entire websites?
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, on some of my emails, it shows its from a certain sender but the body of the email does not correspond. The odd thing is that on my iPhone, the emails are fine. I did recently get the new 27" iMac and restored from Time Machine however this is happening with new emails as well, not just old ones that were already on the computer. It's also only happening to some emails, not all.
View 6 Replies View RelatedCan anyone please help me? I don't want to save the attachments and add them again.
View 16 Replies View RelatedWe have a Mac user trying to send attachments in an email to a PC recipient. She is using Apple's Mail app. Whenever she tries to attach a file - a JPEG for instance - it seems to attach as an inline graphic rather than a normal attachment. The PC recipient gets no paperclip symbol on their end, and can't do anything with it. I'm assuming this may be a preference setting in Mail, but can't seem to find where to change it. Turning on the "Send Windows-friendly attachments" seems to make no difference.
