MacBook :: 2007 2.2 Mhz Won't Be Upgradable To New Mountain Lion?
Jun 12, 2012
I was just looking at the spec requirements for the new Mountain Lion operating system, and it looks like my 2007 2.2 Mhz black Macbook won't be upgradable to the new system. Is this true? Pretty disapponting considering it has nearly the same specs as some of the Macbook Pro models of the same year and is faster than some of the compatible imacs of the same year. This computer runs great, can't believe it couldn't hande the new operating system.
I currently have Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I got my imac in December 2007 from an Apple Store, but I can't seem to find anything that specifically says it is 'an early 2007' or 'late 2007' model. How do I know this? I have read that the 2007 model must be a late model. I also have 4 GB of memory, and it is an Intel core 2 duo. What I fit other qualifications after the answer to the 2007 model question is answered? Also, can I go straight from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion?
i just recently upgraded a 2007 iMac from snow leopard to mountain lion. its never had pages or numbers. How do i get pages and numbers on mountain lion? in the app store it says os x compatibility 10.10
Installed Lion successfully on my 2007 MacBook Pro. First run went OK. Tried restarting and won't boot. No Chime... nothing. SMC reset and PRAM reset don't do anything. Sleep light comes on for split second, optical disk engages momentarily, then all goes dead. Screen stays black. Attempted start without RAM seems to indicate logic board is working. Getting repeating tones. Flashing light when I press and hold power is the most I can get with the memory installed.
Info: MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4), 2007 MacBook Pro - 4 GB RAM
just recieved my refurbished macbook air (2011) 2 weeks ago.Does it qualify for free upgrade to mountain lion ? The website only talked about "qualifying new mac system set..."
This is my first post and I've a couple of questions and did searched for it on the internet but unfortunate ...For my study Multimedia designer, I am planning to get a Mac Pro but my school wants us to get a D*ll V laptop, windows 7 with these software:Adobe CS4 Master CollectioMicrosoft Office Enterprise 2007Microsoft Office Project Professional 2007I didn't choose for this D*LL laptop because its a 17,3" one and with my schoolbooks and etc in my bag, it would be pretty heavy for me.I hope that someone in this forum knows the answers on my questions and I really appreciate your help cos I even asked my friends and family about it but unfortunate, no luck so far
I was about to buy Lion so I can start using the extra space I purchased on Iclouds but I noticed that Mountain Lion is coming later this summer. Can I wait and simply install Mountain Lion without ever getting Lion?
when mountain lion will release this year if I upgrade my Lion OS to new Apple's new Mac OS what will happen to recovery HD partition? They said my Lion OS will be gone and everything will be Mountain Lion. I bought this Macbook pro late 2011 and its running Lion OS with recovery HD.
I purchased my computer 4 months ago and have had nothing but troubles since. When I bought it I think I downloaded OS X Mountain Lion for free, either that or my computer came with it. After several attempts from Geek Squad at Best Buy to fix my computer, they finally reset the computer back to factory settings. Now I do not have OS X Mountain Lion and cannot figure out how to download it for free (Because if I had to download it in the first place, I downloaded it for free), and I do not have iphoto. This is my second Macbook, and the first one I remember having to purchase ilife to get iphoto.
I saw the new Mountain Lion preview on WWDC 2012 today, and I am planning to upgrade ML when it comes out. I was just wondering if all the data and apps get transfered into the new ML OS when I upgrade from my Macbook Pro with OS X Lion?

I just purchase a used macbook And I was trying to delete the previous owner account and info, I deleted de OS X mountain lion and when I try to reinstall it a message shows "This item is not available, try again later"... I have try several options and nothing seems to work.
downgrading their macbook pro from mavericks to lion (or, if not lion, to mountain lion)? I have a late 2013 mbpro with rentina (model 11,2).
I am no interested in any flame wars, but I, personally, despise mavericks. I have several other macs I have worked on for years and have been extremely satisfied with snow leopard. I explored installing sl on my mbpro, but it isn't possible to the newer hardware on the mbpro.
Info: MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), Mac OS 9.2.x, started with 10.9, tried 10.9.3
