Is there a way to restore a published iWeb site? I went to update my site and when I opened iWeb it came up as a 3 month old file that I had long ago deleted. What happened?
I've just "upgraded" from iWeb '08 and published some changes to my home page, but now none of my html snippets show up? The only page I've uploaded to the server is the "welcome" page, but now none of the html snippets are showing on that page. I can see the html snippet when I "visit the published site" via the hard drive, but not on the web. Does iWeb '09 put the html snippets somewhere new? If so, where? Should I upload my entire site again now that '09 has updated all of my files? (I'm afraid my entire site will be rendered unusable if all the snippets are erased).
I created a website for a family friend a few years ago using iWeb.Today I have received an anxious email from them saying the site is down.It is obviously to do with the move from .me to iCloud!I don't have the old computer which the site was made on. And don't have any files of the site on my computer. Where and how can I access the website files since the move from .me to iCloud as a matter of urgency? I'm not seeing any option in iCloud to view or see any files at all.
what about the special features iWeb provides concerning the blogs. I think they cannot be used by others providers (type of presentation, archives, comments, glossy effects) ? Could we hope in any nice update of iCloud, allowing the publication of iWeb websites?
I'm trying to move iweb to blogger.I am asked to provide the server address. Where do I find the server address? I don't understand, What is the FTP server address?
I am trying to transfer my website to a new host and have the older version of iweb--08, v.2.0.4. the menu for transferring via the ftp site seems to only be for the upgraded version of 09 iweb. Has anyone found a workaround?
Any suggestions for who to use as a host? I have only used apple servers so don't know the first thing about finding a host. I leave on an expedition in a couple of days, so I need to do this quickly so that I don't have any down time on my site.
With MobileMe going away, lost will be my Gallery, iWeb Site and iDisk. These were great features, they made it very easy to use. I've never had an outside web publishing service before and not looking forward to finding one. It seems to me that the iCloud features and very basic in comparisson and a real step backward.

I own my own my own domain name in which I bought through Genesis Domains. I have my own personal iWeb page published using MobileMe. Apple's instructions on transferring my page does not help me. I'm pretty oblivious when it comes to knowing what hosting and a server is. And until I one day upgrade to a machine with Lion, I'm stuck with MobileMe, or what is left of it. I have links to my MobileMe galleries through my iWeb pages. I know the galleries are going away too. Is there a way people can still look at my photo albums when they are at my website?
I accidentally double-clicked on a file named "Domain" which was really a backup file of my Site. My problem is that I had backed up my site a long time ago, after which i have made many changes. Now when I open iWeb it takes me back to the original days of the site. I still have the desired folder in "Sites", but can seem to get in onto iWeb. Is there any way to put my latest site back onto iweb?
I haven't setup time machine, I publish using Easy iWeb Publisher, I don't have have a Mobileme account
My old MB got attacked by some tea and died. So now i have a new unibody although the main thing that i have lost from my old MB is my iWeb pages.
I have mobile me, and have the site published to that. How can i download the site to my MB in iWeb format? Iv tried downloading them as HTML but iWeb can't open them.
Here's my situation:I created a site using iWeb '08. Many months passed and I wasn't doing anything with that particular site any longer, so I nuked the pages within iWeb and have since worked on new projects. Now I need to do some work on that old site again.I have all of the created content in a folder that had been stored on my server, but I have nary a clue how to get it all back into iWeb again.
I've created a site with a theme in iWeb 08 that has been removed from iWeb 09. I've put a lot of work into customizing the theme, and iLife 09 is currently being shipped to me. In iWeb 09, can I still maintain and build on this site even though the theme is not included anymore? And, if not, is there a way that I can find the theme data in Finder and copy and paste that into the theme data files in iWeb 09?
Howe can i remove a counter from my site? I make my site with Iweb, there I remove the counter but it is still on my site and also on a place i don't want it! [URL]
Now that I can no longer publish my iWeb sites via Mobile Me, I have tried to use the ftp server that I pay for through a site hosting service for my business (sitemason). Unfortunately, there is some "redirect" that I cannot find and it creates an index that makes the iWeb pages become my "Home" page. I don't need to override my existing website, I only want the iWeb pages to open when the links to them are accessed. Is this a simple issue or should i just pay some service to publish my iWeb content and keep it nested within my old site?
I am using go daddy as a host for my website. I managed to work on my iWeb but when i try to visit my page it says that is not there. How can I visit it?
[URL]. Proof-of-concept exploit code has been posted online for six kernel vulnerabilities, five of which affect Mac OS X 10.5.6, the most current version of Apple's operating system software. The vulnerabilities are proofs of concept that demonstrate the code can take control of a machine, either via creating a privilege escalation modifying the users or launching DoS local attacks against the PC," he said in an e-mail. "The proof of concept code has the ability to create a new system volume, call to some OS functions, change the user ID, and so on, without administrative privileges.
When I log in and try to manage my exisiting playlist, I click on add songs.
THe search window opens and I enter a song. The choices which then appear do not have "add song" buttons next to them. Instead, they have purchase options buttons.
I have tried this for weeks. Using a macbook pro (LION) with latest version of itunes.
I'm working on a series of short sports videos that will be playing on jumbotrons, and have been trying to create a Title template in motion, with intent to publish it to use it Final Cut Pro X. I started creating the first title, and then after Saving it and publishing it, I opened FCPX to add the title. The title tile under 'Titles' would appear in the correct category, and would show the tile, until I moved the scrubber over it. Upon scrubbing the new title, or placing it in the timeline and scrubbing it, it would show a RED T error. I was using a newly installed font, so I decided to try a brand new basic template with a basic font, and the same thing would happen.
FCPX and Motion 5 are both updated. I've done this before, but it was a couple of years ago.
I belong to a club and shortly they are moving to Google Calendar as a way of publishing their events on-line. From what I have read else where, it is possible for them to publish their events publicly, so that they are searchable and anyone can add them to their own Google calendar.
Would it then be possible for me to view their public Google calendar in iCal? If not, could I achieve the same out come by setting up my own intermediate Google Calendar, which took the clubs feed, and then use iCal to view that? I don't wish to share information back, just add their info to my own calendar automatically. So that if an event is added/deleted or changed, my calendar is automatically updated when I view it.
