My Canon 70d took a sample video set 1080p 60 fps (59.97) (ALL-I). I then imported to a project (FCP set up for 1080p) but when bringing the clip into the timeline and selecting it then looking at "info" it states 720. Why is this? And will this still export to full 1080p?

I read that it's only possible to rent HD in Apple TV, but what form of HD is the rental? Does it support 1080p? If so, how long does it take to download and prepare of movie of this sort?

Now hit FFW or REV. What appears in the track info box? Nothing, right? iTunes doesn't show you what song it has shuffled to. It only works if you are playing, not in pause.
Surely this is wrong? Sometimes you want to select song before playing it, right? This works fine on my Ipod. Everyone else have this problem?

can anyone tell me what i may be doing wrong? i am trying to create a movie using video clips from my camera. when i download my movies to iphoto, they work great. when i drag them to imovie, they play but i do not get any sound. the 3 little check marks are there but still no sound!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my iTunes music etc. stored on my MBP, but movies are on an external HDD connected via Airport disk. When importing movies, I untick "Copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library" and drag and drop them in - that way the location points to my external drive. However, I imported a number of movies yesterday (in the same way I always have done) and whenever I open iTunes, the artwork of the newest movies is missing and an exclamation mark is next to them. But when I click on it, the exclamation mark goes, the artwork reappears and the movie plays. Quit and reopen iTunes and it's vanished again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a lot of 1080p videos on my Mac, and I can play them in every app but iTunes. iTunes says i cannot play the videos as I have a 1.86GHz CPU, which does not meet the requirements for playing 1080p HD videos in iTunes [URL]. The thing is is that I can play these videos in any other app (they are not protected files, as they are BluRay rips from my external BluRay drive).
My question is this: how can I get these videos to play on my Mac, and on my iPod touch as well?

I'm just wondering why iTunes hasn't downloaded an SD version as well as the HD version, like it always has done previously? I am unable to watch the India Special on my MacBook as iTunes says "This movie requires QuickTime, which is not supported by this version of iTunes."

Apple when they did their press conference for the new Apple TV - specifically stated that previous purchases of movies from iTunes could be updated to 1080p. There was no charge involved, I just needed to redownload them. I wish that were the case. What am I missing? All my preferences state 1080p. Viewing my purchases shows all my movies I can download and pretty much all of them are available in HD. Yet, they are still downloading in SD (720p). Why? Online support/itunes sends me in a loop as far as downloading in 1080p. It never answers the question.
Do I need to re-buy (not going to happen) all my movies in HD to get HD? That wasn't what was stated by Apple.
Why can't you play 1080p video on a macbook pro or mac mini? This means you have to sync files which are over 1GB in size one at a time to the new ipad just to view them and this takes a long time. When at home, I use itunes via a macbook pro/mac mini for all my multi media connect to my TV, now I have GB's of files I cannot watch at home.
It kind of defeats the object, there is not enough space on an ipad to hold much HD content, certainly I will not be buying anymore HD video files from itunes for this reason. I am dissapointed to have wasted money on 1080p videos that I have to sync one at a time to a new ipad just to watch them. The new ipad screen is great but surely we need the option to watch 1080p HD video on out TV too? The crazy thing is that itunes/quicktime can easily handle 1080p video which is not from the itunes store so Apple must be deliberately restricting itunes bought 1080p HD video to the new ipad.

Whenever I import clips into iMovie HD I get a black rectangle on the left side of the clip that only shows up when I import it, the actual file does not have this (as shown in the attachments).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a few wmv vids on my mac. Up until recently they were all fine. When I went into the folder the all files showed the Qicktime logo on them and played using flip4mac. Now the files are just white with no logo on them and when I click to play one it brings up the message "This movie could not be opened, The file is not a movie file." I have tried reinstalling flip4mac and quicktime but I still have the same issue. Someone told me to try perian but still nothing. I am guessing this is a problem with the files but not sure how this happened or how to fix it.

At any resolution Offered from what we purchased and Deleted to save space on Drives. I have deleted all but the 1080p copies. Have I missed any 1080p from my Library I need? iTunes should be able to show this information. Select the 1080p choice and any purchase that has not been D/Led in the selected Resolution will show up in the Purchased window. *(only the resolution's selected).Also in Search we should be able to search by Resolution and Time (duaration of film)

I have a lot of CD's that are compilations made in my friend's iTunes, but for some reason my ITunes is not reading any of the track info. My buddy says this is a very rare event for him and no suggestions as why I am not getting the track info. I've already tried unchecking the "search the internet for info" option.

View 24 Replies View RelatedOS 10.6.8 with iTunes 10 I have been importing my CD collection into iTunes for about the past month. i have already imported over 500 CD's with no problems.This morning I have a new problem, I insert the CD, iTunes accesses Gracenotes to get the CD info. If there's only one choice of CD info the CD immediately disappears from iTunes and the desktop. If there is more than one choice of CD info as soon as I pick one the CD disappears from iTunes and the desktop.
In either case I can eject the CD with the eject button on my keyboard and when I reinsert it it comes up in iTunes with all the CD and track info I previously selected and then I can import.Why does the CD disappear the first time? I have unchecked and checked preferences in iTunes to "show CD when inserted" as it has always been.One thing I should mention is that right before this behavior started happening I checked and repaired disc permissions for my HD, could this have anything to do with it?

I have a large collection of ripped (TV-on-DVD that i own) mp4s. I want to add these to my iTunes library (space is a non-issue). I import them by adding them to the "automatically add to iTunes" folder. iTunes auto-magically adds them to the "Movies" section. At this point i can group-select, hit cmd-I, and change them to TV Shows. Easy! The only other piece of meta-data I would like to add is the episode number. Is there a quick way to do this? Or do i have to hit cmd-I, add episode #, hit OK button, select next episode, repeat....?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using iTunes with PC for about 5 years or more and never really had any problems ripping my CD collection, even when I switched at one point to using dbpowerAMP and then importing into itunes manually. I'm using itunes to rip again now.
Now I have my first mac (mac mini 2010). I am starting to import parts of my CD collection that I never had room for on my old notebook PC.
So before I went to bed last night I tried to rip and import 3 CDs using itunes exclusively now to do the ripping because I have come to the realization that itunes plus AAC is good enough for my ears and especially my equipment (ipod classic 160gb & Senn PX-100's). Now these 3 CDs I know for a fact the iTunes Store sells and definitely has the artwork and track info for.
Well, the first 2 CDs loaded artwork and track info fine after I remembered to check in the settings about the artwork anyway..
Then comes the 3rd and newest CD I tried, Eagles OF Death Metal's "Heart On". I stick it in the mac mini's slot *giggles* and then the iTunes pane at the top center of the screen keeps scrolling and saying something like "searching for grace-note whatever".. Then after about 2 or 3 minutes of that it just gives up and acts like it doesn't know the CD and lists the songs as "track 1, track 2" etc..
Now this CD is immaculate. It has been ripped before on my PC with no problem. I double checked to make sure the iTunes store sells it because in the past I've had to download my own artwork if it's something they don't sell in their store.
So I'm at a loss here I don't want to have to enter all this info manually as I have about 500 CDs to rip and only being on number 3 I didn't know if it was just this one being trouble, or what to expect how many are going to do this?
I am trying to send my Genius info but it get stuck on step 2. "Sending Genius information to Apple." It has been going for 2 hours. I tried a couple times earlier for about 15-20 minutes each time.
