ICloud :: Set Up Mail Application On Macmini / It Only Shows Incoming / Outgoing Email
Mar 25, 2012
I have just bought a Mac Mini for my daughter.I have set up an aliase email address for her as part of my iCloud account.how do I set up her Mail application on the macmini so it only shows the incoming and outgoing email from her alias address ie without showing the my main email account traffic??i don't want her deleting stuff of my account....
I need to send a mass email to all of my iCloud contacts.†I select the "+" sign to add email addresses to an outgoing email. Do I really have to check the "to" box on all 700+ email addresses? Or is there a way to "select all"?
I am losing random incoming emails in my .mac email address. I first discovered it last week when my wife was getting emails that I was copied on that I never got. Checked inbox, trash, junk, iCloud and never could find them. Then today, just by chance, I had to verify a link via that email address.† When the verification is sent, I see it hit the inbox with the new email counter and then it immediately disappears. I have disabled all my Apple Mail rules and Smart Mailboxes. As I mentioned, I have checked everywhere I could think of that it might be going.

Is there a means to copy all incoming and outgoing email through the Apple Mail server to one inbox? As an example, Bob sends and email to Jeff and receives a reply. I want a copy of each of those emails to, say, email@example.com. Is there a means within the server config or some other method to accomplish this?
when I select the archive button from the tool bar, does mail store the particular email message on my hard drive, or is it stored in a mailbox in the cloud? Does trying to understand actually happens.
The default signature in outgoing messages from iCloud is "sent from iCloud". I can change that on a new email but that will work only once; in the next email the signagture is again "sent from iCloud". Is it possible to create a new default signatute? Is it possible to create this new signature in color?
I have a @me email address and have also two email aliases connected to it. Now all mail is downloaded in one inbox (of the main @me mail address). I would like to have that email from the alias addresses is marked as that (or maybe put in a colour) or is in another inbox folder.
I'm having such a hard time syncing Gmail with Apple Mail now that I've done a fresh install of SL. First of all, in Gmail Settings, the instructions for setting up Apple Mail are for Apple Mail 3.0. But the Apple Mail with SL is 4.0. The instructions say to "Check the box next to Automatically set up your account." Pic of what I'm talking about: But my Apple Mail does not have that check box: Once it's setup it says it's supposed to look like this: Notice that it's POP and not IMAP? And in mine, once it's "automatically setup" it's IMAP and not POP: When I leave the settings as is, and try to send and receive mail I keep getting an error that says something like "Can't send mail on outgoing mail server". And when I change the outgoing server to POP I get the same error. I've tried everything, I've setup and deleted this e-mail account from Apple Mail at least 4 times now and I keep getting the same error.
I cannot send outgoing my mail from my email account. Its saying two servers marked withalert icons are in conflict and cannot be saved.two servers cannot share the same address and authentication settings. resolve the certificate and try again.Ive delete the account now and re set them up but it still has an issue with the outgoing server which are the same...
My prob is that I have directed my gmail and my office mail address both to my mac mail. I get all the messages and my office account exists as well, but when I respond to a mail that came into my office account and I reply to it, my gmail address is seen as a sender address, not my office one. What can I do? I have already put my office email in the outgoing add. and the smtp field.
I had a Mobileme account and have changed over to iCloud.  In the last three days when receiving mail my accounts have gone offline on two different computers.  I can still access them by signing into iCloud, but not from the mail application.  I went to accounts and the  "incoming mail server" is blank.  I have tried creating a new account with "imap.mail.me.com" , but it still did not connect.  Has something changed at iCloud?
This has happened before. All is well, then one day iCloud Mail decides it won't work and the "exclaimation point" error appears next to that account in mail.
Trying to re-enter the account information is futile as the incoming mail server is grayed out, only displaying "mail.example.com" which the user cannot change.
Tried deleting the account and re-adding, but it just adds a new, blank account which cannot be modified. At that point, my iCloud mail account is entirely gone from the computer and apparently can not be recovered.
How do I rename my Incoming Mail server (Mail version 4.5, Snow Leopard) so that it points to iCloud. It is grayed out and when I click on 'edit email aliases' in the mail preference account information, it sends me to Mobile Me login. Outgoing server lets me make the changes.
So just in the past couple days the quality of my outgoing ichat/skype video isn't good according to my friend. but the quality of her incoming video is normal/great. i got a new router yesterday, cause our old one was dying and i kept getting kicked off, but the problem still exists. 2 days ago everything was fine.
i've fiddled with the bandwidth preference in ichat and the streaming thing in system preferences-> quicktime.
Everytime I open mail (v.5.2) on my Mac (OSX 10.7.3) I am prompted that the "iCloud has rejected the password for p01-imap.mail.me.com."  The incoming mail server is set at p01-imap.mail.me.com....and I can't change it, it's greyed out in Preferences - Account Information.  Further, each time I put in the password, I click "remember in my keychain" and, well, it doesn't because I have to re-enter it every day.

I upgraded my iMac to Lion recently. Currently running OSX 10.7.3.
I suddenly am unable to have my .Mac email delivered to the Mail application on my iMac, yet my .Mac emails are delivered to my iPhone without any issues and I can also access them via logging-in to my iCloud account using an internet browser.†My Mail account pane is as follows. Note that the Incoming Mail server is dimmed-out and I am unable to enter any text into it.
My incoming mail server has changed to gray. Why? I cannot access it and I'm not getting my mail. It now has a "p02" in front of the imap. How do I edit this so I can get my mail on my MacBook again? Mail is coming through my iPhone only.
I have moved my accounts to iCloud and continue to use Apple Mail; incoming mail does not download and in the preferences the incoming mail server is grayed out and will not allow me to change it. I followed the directions to remove the account and manually re-enter it, but still the same problem.
I recently got a new iMac and restored it using a Time Machine drive to be identical to my old one. This has all gone pretty smoothly, but for some reason mail says that one of my accounts has five new e-mails, and another one has two. When I receive new e-mails these increment, and when I delete them they decrement, but they only ever go down to five and two.
