View 3 Repliesi was playing with my MacBook Pro earlier today and used some kind of finger swipe that made everything on my screen including the homepage zoomed in and off center. I have to scroll from side to side and up and down to see the whole screen and he or I can't figure out how to change it back.

The newest version of iTunes is taking up my whole screen but I can no longer find the little red/green buttons to make it smaller. I can't even minimize it with Command-M. I tried a force quit and restart of iTunes, but same thing. Â

My 2 1/2 yr. old granddaughter has once again gotten a hold of my keyboard. I have managed to resize the browser window. Trouble is all of the text is so large that in an open window I have to scroll side to side to view the whole page. The text is also slightly blurry.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have one two-hour file in mp3 format and one three-hour file. These are radio shows, so no music or anything, just talking. Now that I have the files, I want to get them as small as possible without making them unlistenable. What program can I use to reduce them?
View 6 Replies View RelatedNot sure if it my camera or my computer (more than likely the operator) but when I go to send pictures the picture size is so large that I can only send one at a time and even then some people can not receive them. What do I need to do to reduce the size of the pictures?
View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a 13 inch macbook pro, and i want to set the screen size bigger than 1280 * 800, to maybe 1600 * 1200 or something. obviously i cant fit more than 1280 * 800 pixels in the 13 inch MBP screen, but I want it to function as kind of a 'cropped' screen - so i'd have to move my trackpad around the corners of the screen to see more of the desktop. i know it will look like crap and be a bit cumbersome, but i don't really care about that. is there any way to do this?
by the way, i don't NEED the ability to use my trackpad to move around the screen. i don't plan on using my MBP like this permanently, this is just for experimental purposes.
Everything on my screen is very large. I can't access systems preference.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to reduce the size of icons, in a folder's panel shown in the Dock? What I mean is this: The icons in the Dock itself are okay, but when I click on the Apps folder which is standing in the Dock, its content is shown as a huge panel of large icons. The icon size is exagerated to my taste. I didn't found any options about this, in the Dock preferences control panel. Can we change the icon size there?

View 24 Replies View RelatedI have a Macbook Pro 13" I also have an apple TV which I want to control from the laptop.
If I can get to the bottom of the window then I can select "multiple speakers" and control the Apple TV.

I zipped a .doc file to upload to a job website as the file size was too large (would only accept 100kb max). Now it tells me that the .zip file ext will not be accepted by the website and so I tried to change the file name in the hope that this would be accepted. Unfortunately it does not seem to want to upload this and I am a bit stuck on solutions. I cannot reduce the file size by removing some info from the document as you can understand.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have scanned a document on my Canon Printer. The size is very large about 14 Megabytes.I do not know how to reduce the size so that I can send it via Mail. I have searched HELP but have not as yet found an answer. One suggestion was that in my Mail window there is an option to reduce the size of the attachment but I see no such option in my email.

I scanned some documents with my printer/scanner and don't want to have to rescan every time. I made them too big, they are 20+ megs, and I know with JPEGs one can just "flatten" the file. Can that be done with scanned docs too? If so, how? Do I need a special app for that? I have Preview and iPhoto, plus the MS Office package for the Mac.

I press the + Green icon top left corner and it reduce the size by a few millimeters. The on-screen keyboard won't reduce in size and I can't seem to find a solution to it in preferences....

I have used the standard "Reduce File Size" Quartz filter but find the resulting files way too grainy. I want to have a filter that is a stand between but cannot seem to make a filter using the ColorSync utility that applies to PDFs. I want a free method to do this of course and am pretty confused as to why Apple hasn't given the user the option to control the output of the PDF in Preview. That is basic PDF viewer material.

I have a pdf file with lots of high-res photos in it. Is there a good way to reduce the file size while keeping the photo quality reasonable? A free utility that allows users to adjust the level of photo quality would be great. Under Preview, I tried "save as" and then "Reduce File Size" with Quartz filter. The file size was reduced by 1/10 but the photos did not look good.

I've deleted 6 backups already and am left with three but the size of the file hasn't changed at all. I don't want to delete the whole thing and start over.
The file size now is 330gb which is ridiculous to me that it hasn't changed one bit since i deleted 6 backups.
I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. (I feel like I know a decent amount about my MBP and about a/v matters, so, I feel a bit dumb for not knowing the answer to this.)
I have an external monitor (Samsung 2223w) monitor connected to my MBP via DVI. The MBP is shut.
Is there a way that I can reduce the brightness of the external monitor quickly with software? Of course, I can manually reduce brightness by clicking the buttons on the side of the monitor and navigating through the menus. But is there a way that I can set a keystroke to do the same?
