Intel Mac :: IPhoto Application Missing After Upgrade To Lion
Jun 13, 2012
Iphoto is no longer available to me after upgrading to Lion. Is this an error or something expected? How to reinstall it or is there something else I should install or buy?
I've just upgraded to Mavericks from Lion. I find that iPhoto, iMovie and iDVD are all missing in the new OS. Can I restore them from my Time Machine backups? If I do, will they work with Mavericks?
Info: iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4), MacBook Pro 2.2ghz i7
Friends were having major problems with Mac OS 10.5.8. I tried to install 10.6 but the installation stalled several times. Through it all, I got OS 10.5.8 running for them again but the sound application is now missing, so I can't get the iMac to play sounds effects nor will it show the Harmann Kardon sound sticks as a sound output. They can't find their original install discs and I do not have that version. Will the sound application for system 10.6 work if I drag that file into their 10.5.8 system?
I recently re-installed my Lion by using the Lion Online Recovery thing. Works fine so far, but I got one problem..That my iLife suite is missing makes sense, since iLife does not come with Lion itself. My iLife was preinstalled on my MBP and I had to accept the Apps in the AppStore back then.
Now, after the reinstallation iPhoto does not show up in my purchases, just GarageBand and iMovie. If I'm trying to search for iPhoto in the AppStore, it says, that my App is already accepted and must show up in my purchases, but it does not. How can I resolve this issue? Without iPhoto I can't use my photostream.
iPhoto: Restoring from Time Machine with iPhoto 9.1.5 and OS X Lion However, the document is no longer available. So what can I do now? I've migrated files from my mother's MacBook Pro with Snowleopard to her new iMac with Lion. So far, it's been buggy as heck. The missing iPhoto library is the tip of the iceberg.
I can no longer run iPhoto by clicking on the app icon, open images in it, or access the photos in it in any other way. Since upgrading OS my iMovie has also been upgraded to v11. I don't knoiw if this is a factor.
We are using two different macbooks with the same account at the same time. I use OS X Lion but my sister uses OS X 10.6.8 I am having trouble with iPhoto and Garageband. I can't upgrade them. I type our family account but it says that I have to buy them. Why should I buy and pay some money for it? They have already been in my computer when I bought it.
how to obtain a bigger memory for my imac so that I can upgrade to OSX LIon and then to icloud? My imac currently has 1 Gb memory and I need 2 Gb apparently. Apple can no longer supply a 2 Gb memory. I will need to knowe hwre to buy a suitable memory and how to change it.
I cannot open my iphoto because i am constantly receiving the message "the application quit unexpectedly" I have tried everything!!!!first & foremost I have archived & installed osx already 2 times.I have tried holding down the options key and building a new library..doesnt work.I have typed in fsck -fy and rebooted and rebuilt disk permissions.i cant seem to find the file .com.apple.iphoto etc its not in my preference folders to erase it
I have The Sims 3 for my macbook pro and have been using it, all of a sudden the application is missing. I wonder if its just been accidentally moved to another folder, however I can't find it in any search that I have done. Is my only option to reintall it and lose everything I have done on that game?
I installed a CDROM application on Leopard 10.6.8 which worked fine. I now try to install the same software on Lion 10.7.2 and it does not allow me to open the application. The content is fine, I think the issue lies with the installer?
I was reviewing Apple Support's Mac 101, Files and Folders Lesson and I noted that compared to some of their screenshot application items (Finder/MacIntosh HD/Applications), I have an empty space where, I assume, application folders where. I have a blank spot (Sorted by Name) after the Address Book (which I think was the AppleScript folder), a blank sport after the DVD Player (which I think was Expose), and a couple others. Where did my application icons go! I still have the Expose feature if I use the mouse, but I'm curious as to why they no longer appear in the folder. Can I, without much trouble, reload all applications from my Snow Leopard upgrade disk? If so, how? My iMac is an early 2009, 24" w/ 2.66Ghz processor.
I am currently running version 10.7.4 from what I read and what I was able to make out from my serial number I wont be able to upgrade from Lion to Mountain Lion as it says my imac is a late 2006 model.I am just curious if I am able to run Lion why Apple isnt supporting the older models that can? Seems odd to me and it is not in my budget to buy a new mac and my current one is running perfectly. I'm not sure how much I will miss out not having Mountain Lion.
I've been trying to install some software, however, every time I try to do the "make" command on a Makefile, I get the following error: -bash: make: command not found. The manual page does not exists either. I have no idea why the "make" command doesn't exists. I might have added a missing command in the past, but I don't remember. I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.7. Can anyone guess what the problem is?
.All of a sudden my mail application is coming up with "missing plug-in".Somebody sends me a photo (job related) thru windows computer and all I get is the text plus a question mark in blue surrounded with a rectangular box.
Info: MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)
I was opening apps today and realized that the indicator lights weren't activating. I am aware that they can be turned off, but I made sure they were on and I still have this issue. For example, here is a screenshot of my screen with Safari and Settings open, but with no indicator lights. All software is up-to-date and current.I have come to rely on these inducator lights to let me know what apps are running, and this problem is troubling to me.
I have a late 2006 imac5,1 Intel Core 2 Duo with 3g of ram. Can I upgrade to Lion without issue? I know that some features like gestures will not work but wanted to know if I could run icloud and other apps so that I can synch my iphone 4s.
I updated my iMac to Lion and now when I try and open iPhoto it says software update is required but when I click update is says there is no update available. What do I do now?
I recently re-install osx 10.5 on my MacBook. When installing, I selected the backup option. I can find all my files, except my photos from iphoto. Fair sure I've searched all folders, still cant find.
