ITunes For Mac :: Merging Accounts Or Editing Information On Account?

I had an iTunes account before I got my MacBook Pro and they have different IDs. The first account has all my purchased music and I would like to use it with my new computer. When I try to download music of the previous account from the Cloud, I get the message that the iTunes account information differs from the computer. Can the first account be edited, or can the two be merged without losing anything or having to buy again?

I dont know how to do what I am wanting to do the easiest way. I just bought a Macbook last night. And I just learned found Migration Assistant by accident. Holy cow! I've been a mac user for 6 years how did I not know about this thing?
Well it saved me a bazillion dollars in burned cds. The problem is it made a new account on my Macbook representing my old computer with the files on it. I want the files on my main Macbook account. Then I want to delete this second account it made. How do I go about this? hmmm?

Recently i udgraded to Lion. It would not take my existing AppleID so i had to create a new one. Now i can't get my old information to go to the new account. I only want and need one. this is becoming worse than windows upgrade

I can't seem to find a way to edit mp3 and wave information in leopard. In fact it seems like the fields are totally unresponsive to anything. I want to edit this information and the album art outside of iTunes, because while it's very easy to do within the application, it doesn't seem to effect the source file's information.

I just got the new MBA, and I already set up an account and then went home and used the Migration Assistant. When doing so, it created a second user account, so all the information I created on the first one over the past few days, it separate from the information I needed transferred over from my time machine? How do I go about merging these two accounts, so I have all my files on one?

I'm on my 14th email to iTunes support and after 14 days of not being able to log into my iTunes account, I'm getting a bit desperate. Every time I log in, I'm redirected to the login screen that asks for my account name and password. I've reset my password 4x and Apple has done it twice. Still no change. I'm not getting any response that my password is wrong and I'm allowed to fill in my credentials as many times as I want. It's just redirecting me to the login screen and asking me again. If I log out and back in, it tells me after login that I need to press "ok" to verify my account information, after which it redirects me to... the login screen.Â

I used one computer to back up my Iphone, then when I got a new Iphone I used another computer. I would like to use the second computer from now on. They both have different information from the phones. I would like to merge the two accounts on the second computer so that all the information is put back onto the new phone.Â
I do not want to erase and replace. The two computers are not connected in any way. I do not have sharing turned on at this time. how to get the information from the first computer to the second computer. Step by step. and also how to merge the two accounts without losing any information.Â

In my ~/Music folder resides two huge folders for iTunes. I'm sure this came about when I reinstalled Snow Leopard some time ago, I didn't realize the transfer didn't happen correctly at the time. One is called iTunes (296 gigs, last opened on Aug 31 and modified today) which seems to be my current folder used by iTunes 10. The other is called iTunes Media (252 gigs, last opened July 30 and last modified on the same date). I'm noticing in here however, files (such as Voice Memos) that are NOT in the first folder I mentioned above. I've probably tons of duplicates here, but what is not a duplicate I'd like to send into the correct place - and then kill the huge unneeded folder! How can I verify where iTunes looks for all of it's data? Music, videos, books, etc. Any suggestions as to how I could merge these?

I have searched, googled, etc., and not found a satisfactory answer. Briefly, I have used my ITunes on our MBP and on an old Dell PC. At various times I have downloaded music, TV shows, movies etc to either system. Our AppleTV syncs with the Dell and purchased stuff is on there. I just bought a new 27" IMac and a qnap NAS. I want all the media to be on the NAS. How do I go about "merging" the ITunes data from the two computers into a single file on the NAS drive? Is there a way to do so - without losing stuff or without having to individually go through every single song, show, movie, etc.?

When I look the iCloud icon account under system preferences the account shows my name but when I open up "account details" the name field has my wife's name. i have dited this in the detils page but as soon as I log out of system preferences and log back in the name field reverts to my wife's name. This is causing issues with alerts set up in iCal being directed to the wron email address.How can I permanently edit the account name in the details tab of the iCloud section?

I use comcast for my email/internet. I set up three separate accounts each using the same return mail server: mail.comcast.net, but with separate smtp account names, password etc.No matter what smtp setting i use to send mail, i get 3 duplicate emails when anyone replies to my message. If I get a new message from someone the same thing happens. 3 duplicate messages.hat can I do to rectify this situation.Comcast Keeps asking for my passwords, over & over again.

Somehow, iCloud is receiving e-mail sent to another account, a non iCloud/non-mac.com, and bringing these e-mails into my mac.com inbox. Thus, all of the duplicate e-mails pile up in my Mac account making it difficult to find mail intended for the mac.com account.How is this happening? I've checked the settings in Preferences but nowhere do I see the accounts combined.

I have a Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.6.8) and i am trying to set up an account for someone who regularly logs onto my guest account. I am doing this so whenever they are here and need to use my computer, they can use it without using my account( the admin account) or guest account( where the have to log into guest account and work on whatever it is they needed to do, then unfortuanatly have to erase all files from that day so they can log out ) Â Â Â Â
I still want it to be an account for that person to have when they are here, but NOT guest account. Just an additional account.Â

I had an Exchange account that I had been using for years. Recently, I switched jobs, and therefore the Exchange account was discontinued (i.e. my user was deleted from the server, emails bounce). BUT I cannot remove this obsolete account from my System Preferences > Internet Accounts. It drives me crazy. Whenever I hit the "-" minus button, the account disappears, but whenever I open Internet Accounts again, it's right back in its place. Apple Mail keeps complaining that it "cannot connect to the server", but won't let me delete the account.Â

Started with issues of my accounts wanting a password every time it checked my hotmail accounts.I could fix them a few weeks ago by deleting the account and adding a new one (same one really).thought I would do that yesterday. deleted my hotmail account.clicked the + button/tab to add a new account- NOTHING happens. zero/nada etc.so I went to file and highlighted add a accountsame thing nothing happens.so dumb me, I went into my preferences and deleted the (should not have emptied the trash) mail preferences thinking it would help.
same thing can't add accounts only delete. only now I have no accounts.rebuilt preferences, deleted caches, rebuilt again, restarted etc.any ideas or help here.don't want to go back to entourage (quit that many years ago).

Every few months Apple sends out an update of their "Mail" program. Every time this happens all of my email accounts disappear and I have to create them all over again from scratch along with my preferences settings. Why does this happen and is there a fix/work around for this? Why don't your "accounts" just port over to the new, upgraded version of mail? I don't get it.

The AppleID of all my accounts (iTunes, ADC, Apple Dev Center, apple store) is my mobileme email (username@mac.com)
I would like to change this (using some other appleid to separate these accounts from mobileme) so that I don't need to renew my mobileme subscription. From Apple websites, I cannot do this, AppleID cannot be changed if it is a mobileme id.
How can I do? What will happend if my mobileme subscription finished? All accounts will be finished or what else?
