Jun 12, 2012I have a new-to-me MacBook (running Lion) and I just downloaded all my music into iTunes. I had been sync'd with an old PC laptop previously. If I choose to sync my iPhone (4S) with iTunes on the MacBook, will it delete my apps and data (as the warning in iTunes leads me to believe)? I do use iCloud backup on the iPhone, and I've got all kinds of apps installed (and arranged to my liking). What's the best way to have my music sync with the MacBook without having to reinstall my apps?

May 27, 2012When I plug my iPhone 4 into my Mac to sync, iTunes does not appear to detect my iPhoto library. Activating the "Sync Photos from 'iPhoto'" option does not allow me to select individual albums, faces, etc. to sync. Attempting to sync result in the error "iTunes cannot sync photos to the iPhone 'Kyle Cunanan's iPhone' because your iPhoto Library could not be found. Open iPhoto to create or update your iPhoto Library." Opening iPhoto shows no problems. All my photos are still there, just as I've left them.

Dec 1, 2014I have over 10,000 songs in my iTunes library--about 7,000 are songs I ripped from CDs and about 3000 are songs purchased through the iTunes store. I am able to sync all the songs to my iPod Classic without any problem. However, only about 7,000 songs are synced to my iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2--a mix of all the songs purchased and some of the songs ripped. How can I get my complete library synced to the iPhone and iPad, both of which are 128 GB and have plenty of room for the songs.

Jul 5, 2012i have a large network with three 3TB TimeCapsules and a load of other stuff. On one of the drives is my main iTunes library which is now over 530GB in size.
Backing this up alone takes over a day to complete and I am restricted by the way that the iPhone and iPad operates in that I cannot make multiple libraries and have them sync successfully.
There is also the issue of the sheer value of the library which makes me concerned for its safety.
Is there a way to split this library up into say music, TV and Movies that would still allow me to sync my iPad and iPhone to the relevent bits that I want or am I stuck with this ever-growing monster!?

May 20, 2012I have just synced 148 out of my total 225 apps to my new iPhone - and spent over an hour and a half sorting them out again in to my desired configuration! I am now concerned that my apps will be reinstalled and reconfigured again when I sync my music - forcing me to again spend the time sorting them out. Is this the case or will my apps stay where they are and unaffected? The message I am receiving is as follows;

I have two accounts on the iMac, mine and my wife's, which have been set up to share the music (iTunes) library. When I sync my iPhone into my account on the iMac in order to sync the music library it gives me a message that if I sync the music all the items on the iPhone will be replaced with the music library on the computer. However, there is no music library on the iMac as yet. How do I get the iPhone music on the iMac so my wife and I can share the library?

Mar 12, 2012I had selected a whole bunch of music from my iTunes to sync onto my iPhone using my USB cable. Now I've signed up for iTunes Match and none of that music is on my iPhone anymore except by streaming. How do I get those tunes and podcasts back on my iPhone so I can listen to them when streaming is not available (like downstairs in my gym where there's no signal) WHILE ALSO being able to access the other non-sync'd tunes if I want whenever I've got a good signal.
