ITunes Mac :: AirPlay Music Streaming Stops Between Songs?

When I play music through AirPlay to an AirPort Extreme, the stream will stop between songs. The iTunes keeps on playing, but I hear nothing. It just stops streaming as soon as the current track ends. I tried with crossfading tracks a couple of seconds, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. If I stream from my iPhone there's no problem at all, so I guess this is an iTunes' software problem and not an AirPort Express' hardware problem.

ITunes Mac :: Music Stops During Radio Streaming And Need To Force Quit
Itunes plays radio streams ok for a while, but eventually the music stops. Pressing stop to restart the url doesnt work, the whole of itunes becomes frozen and unresponsive and needs to be force quit everytime. Its very frustrating as when you restart itunes it needs to then check the whole library. Playback is fine for all hard drive content. Happens on both ethernet and airport connection. Have reinstalled itunes several time to no avail.

ITunes Mac :: Radio Stops Streaming On Its Own - How To Fix It
It seems to happen randomly. Usually an iTunes radio station will stream for hours, but sometimes it will simply stop for no apparent reason. When it stops it usually stops repeatedly after playing for only a few minutes. It's not the "rebuffering stream" message; it simply stops as though I pressed the stop button. Pressing play restarts the stream as though nothing had happened.

ITunes Mac :: AirPort Express AirTunes Music Streaming Limited?
I recently purchased an AirPort Express base station to take advantage of the AirTunes Wireless Music Streaming feature. Sound quality is essential to me. I have ripped my entire iTunes library as AIFF 1411kbps, and I was under the impression that AirTunes / AirPort Express could stream full lossless audio. I have it all setup and working, but I'm not convinced I'm getting full lossless audio. When streaming a track, I check the output speed on the Activity Monitor and iStat widget and it varies between 116kbps and 152kbps, which I assume indicates that the streaming quality I'm getting is equivalent to a 128kbps MP3/AAC track, far far away from the 1411kbps I was expecting. Is this normal or is there something miss here? I have changed the broadcast bandwidth in AirPort Utility from 5GHz dual to 2.4GHz to 5GHz only and nothing seems to have any effect. An A/B listening test between the Mac's 3.5mm LineOut and AirPort Express's LineOut corroborates the above, with the later sounding slightly more smeared / less focused than the former to my ears...

ITunes Mac :: Music Stops Playing Through Airtunes When Next Song Starts?
I'm playing a song through Airtunes without any problems or drops in signal. However, when the next song starts there is no audio output.

In iTunes you can see the song playing. Simply clicking the back arrow in iTunes to start the song from the beginning again will solve the problem.

It doesn't happen always, but if it does usually the complete playlist is affected.

ITunes Mac :: See IPod Songs In ITunes - But Can't Save Them In Library Or Music Folder?
Initially had loaded my iTunes onto a PC and "homeshared" to my Mac. PC died and could not disable homesharing on THAT end. But did disable homesharing on my Mac.

Synced by iPod (appears to be a PC model) and all songs showed up under device in iTunes. But, all songs were downloaded from CDs (not iTunes store). So: tried to select all and save to a new folder under music. No dice.

Tried "Add to Library" from iTunes File Menu...nada. Since the songs were originally loaded to the iPod from a Windows PC, do I need a utility in order to get them uploaded to my Mac? Really don't want to have to re-record them all (>1000 songs) and know I must be missing something obvious here.

ITunes Mac :: Missing Songs In Music Folder?
I recently found that I have missing files in my iTunes music folder. The missing songs seem to be random. For instance, Abby Road is missing tracks 3 and 6. My music folder is on my main hard drive and I also have a Time Capsule backup.

When I look for the songs in my backup disk, I find I have to go back as far as 4 months to restore some of them and I just now found a song that was there yesterday but gone today. This leads me to believe that a few songs are randomly being deleted every day. Anyone else with this problem?

I'm using iTunes 10.1 but apparently I've been having this problem for at least 4 months now so I believe it was an earlier version when it started happening.

ITunes Mac :: Music Keeps Uploading The Same 70 Songs To My IPhone On Every Sync
I just had to restore my 2008 iMac from time machine backup due to a HDD failure. I restored and now whenever I sync my iPhone it takes forever. I notice that in the iTunes window it says "uploading 70 songs to iPhone". It does this every time. I believe they are the same songs from what I can tell. Also, it takes forever doing a backup each time. I believe this is due to iTunes thinking it has to RE-backup those 70 songs again. Before it settled on the 70 songs it would randomly sync different songs to upload to iPhone. Example: I would press sync and then it would upload 20 songs and then say sync complete. i would immediately press sync again and it would sync 8 songs and then say sync complete. etc. I do have the box checked to convert songs to 128 AAC. Until I restored from backup, I had no problems. I also have performed a complete restore on my iphone recently and it still re-uploads the same 70 songs. Sync is taking too long and this is driving me crazy.

I have a good number of songs (and will continue to have) that I love, but they have just 1 or 2 swear words. That just ruins the whole song for me. I would really like to know (as well as friends who have asked me) where or IF I can get a music editing application for my mac so that I can edit iTunes songs. I just simply want to make it so that there is the classic *beep* sound instead of the swear word, or even just mute the vocal while the sole beat of the music is still going on (like how the radio stations do it).

ITunes Mac :: Rearranging Display Of Songs When Listening To Music On IPhone?
So I listen to music on my work computer by attaching my personal iPhone to the computer and playing music off of it via iTunes. This works great, and wasn't possible before iTunes 10, but one detail bugs me, and that is that I can't reorder the display of my tracks by Album, Rating, Date Added, etc. This is lame, because then I can't listen to an album in order. Clicking the corresponding headings, which normally reorders tracks in any other view, does nothing when I'm viewing tracks on the iPhone.

ITunes Mac :: Moved Music From PC To New Mac, Duplicated All The Songs?
I just moved my music (I use iTunes) from my PC to my brand new iMac and all the songs show up twice in iTunes on my Mac. I copied the music folder (which contained three folders - downloads from Amazon, some general mp3's that I have, and, of course, iTunes music) and drag and dropped the file into iTunes on the Mac. These was following some general instructions on the Apple Help on how to do this. How do I get rid of the duplicates? Yes, I know how to get them to show, etc. inside of iTunes, but the create date is all the same. How do I tell if I have the files twice or they just show up listed twice? This is the one bad thing about iTunes - duplicates! I now have thousands of them...

ITunes Mac :: AirPlay - Selecting Mini As Speaker
I currently have an iMac and a Mini. The iMac is in my study and the Mini under the TV and next to my amp (which has no optical in) in my living room. The iMac is my 'master' computer where all my music is stored. I have tried a couple of ways to keep the library on my Mini in sync with my iMac (namely myTuneSync and TuneRanger) with varying levels of success. At the moment if I want to use my iPhone to control iTunes music being played in my front room it has to be music stored locally on my Mini and if I want to control music played via AirTunes in my kitchen I have to switch libraries and control the iMac library.

I also use Airfoil to enable me to use the Mini like a set of AirTunes speakers. While this is great for listening to Spotify/mixcloud/soundcloud through my Airport Express or on my Mini, I can't use my iPhone's Remote app to control music coming from iTunes on my iMac to be played in my living room (through the Mini). Fully appreciate that a 2nd Airport Express attached to the amp would do the trick, but I'm wondering if this new AirPlay (in iTunes) will allow me to select my Mini as a speaker in the same way that AirFoil does.

ITunes Mac :: Will AirPlay Allow To Stream Content From IPod
I know that AirPlay is yet to be rolled out on iPhones, iPod Touches and iPads, but I have a question in anticipation of this. I understand that AirPlay will allow you to stream content from an iPod Touch to the new Apple TV, and also from iTunes to the AppleTv and Airport Express. But, what I'd like to know is if one will be able to stream from iTunes to an iPod Touch?

The reason for me is that I have my Library in Apple Lossless format and so I can only have a small part of it synced to my iPod at any one time. It'd be nice, some evenings, to sit there and stream from my lossless library direct to my iPod and retain the quality. This brings up a question about how to browse the library remotely though as I have an older (2G) iPod Touch which can't multitask, so I can't see it being possible to run the Remote App and AirPlay at the same time.

ITunes Mac :: AirPlay Multizone / Multistream Capabilities
I have long wanted a Sonos multiroom job but cost has always prohibited me. The great thing with a Sonos is that it has true multizone and multistream capabilities. Has anyone got their hands on the new iHome airplay compatible speaker set? If so, can you determine from the speaker what you want to listen to (i.e. don't need an iphone/ipod touch with the app or to be sitting at the computer)?
