keep getting application is not responding.
i put 1 cd in it last night and before that it worked,
i tried just deleting that cd and seeing if it works, but got nothing.

Apr 29, 2012We are using iTunes for Mac with our library (songs as wells as libary files) stored a NAS drive. The NAS drive is used by iTunes and our wireless home audio system (Sonos).
Since yesterday we are no longer able to utilze iTunes. Upon starting iTunes the iTunes windows opens, but the application is not responding. We waited for hours, but iTunes is not repsonding. This is evident by the kaleidoscope and upon pressing optiom + command + esc we can see that iTunes is marked in red and it says ins brackets "not responding".

Jun 2, 2014Finder and iTunes are not responding. When I try to open this apps the colourful wheel starts but nothing happens. I tried the "force quit" option, but in the Finder case, is also not working. Everything else seems ok. What can I do?

Jun 21, 2014I am using a MacBook Pro, 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5, 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 with 228 free GB of 500 capacity. I am updated on iTunes with 11.2.2.Â
When ever I am on the My Podcasts page in iTunes and scrolling through my subscriptions I am consistently getting the pinwheel and am reading that the application is not responding. It is not affecting my ability to use other applications like safari or browse the internet so whenever this issue comes up I simply change applications and check back to itunes a couple minutes later to see if it has since gone away. It usually only takes a couple of minutes but it is geting increasingly frustrating as it happens consistently. I have noticed that it happens particularly more often or faster if I am scrolling through my podcast feed too fast. Â

Sep 9, 2014In just this past week I am unable to open iTunes on my Mac Book Pro9. I do not get an error message, it simply just says 'Application Not Responding' when right clicked in the dock. I have updated to OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 a few months ago, and it has been working fine up until about a week ago. I've tried rebooting my MAC and I've just updated to iTunes to 11.3.1 today but it still won't open. Â

IMac :: Keyboard And Mouse Not Responding
Jan 4, 2009My keyboard and mouse is not responding my 3.06 ghz 24" iMac. A day prior I ran the leopard dfu fix script and it worked fine. I was able to jailbreak my iPhone and everything was okay. Earlier today I used the comuter and it was okay. Othing seemed wrong. I turned it off and just now I tried to turn it on and the keyboard and mouse is not responding. Does anybody have a solution?

Mar 24, 2009I sometime use my MacBook on a big LCD screen. To do so, I press F7. The problem has just started today, when switching on my computer, All the desktop icons appear wider than usual and the icons from the left part are missing (as if I had my laptop connected to the LCD screen before pressing F7), pressing F7 doesn't solve the problem. What can I do to restore the normal view? BTW all the laptop keys work fine.

Feb 15, 2009For the past 2/3 weeks the itunes store has become extremely slow and to load a page on it takes 2-3 minutes! It also has loads of missing images/links and when buffering a preview track it takes up to 30 seconds to play a few seconds of the track. It is defiantly not a problem my end with internet and it is over 2MB. I have just read on the Apple Discussions that this is happening to other people with the latest update. [URL].

May 27, 2010I'm a new macbook pro i5 user (first mac). Got it last wednesday..I've gone by with figuring stuff out myself, and browsing for help articles etc. online
I have a Western Digital 500gb fw/usb external harddrive that I used with my pc laptop. It's formatted in NTFS, and filled up with my mp3's. I've tried to drag the whole folder over to itunes, it chokes up and shows the rainbow icon thing both on usb and on FW. Then I tried to choose like 10 folders and import, still chokes up but it did manage to import SOME of those folders. So you can see it'll be a big problem for me to import the whole thing if I have to live with this and do it manually.
Second thing is, the few GB's that it has imported, everytime I open itunes now, it tries to finish estimating pauses and whatever for those tracks, but keeps choking up and get unresponsive. So I have to hard-quit itunes, or quickly hit the X several times to make it stop figuring out the pauses etc.
Wondering what is up with this...brand ned MBP that otherwise runs well, newest itunes that otherwise runs well, no problem with the harddrive...You guys have a solution? Should I format the harddrive to another format, what?

May 18, 2012iTunes 10.6.1 has started freezing after launch (just the pinwheel is seen spinning). The Activity Monitor indicates it's not responding and consuming 0% CPU. It's being run on an Early 2008 Mac Pro running OS X 10.7.4 and is used to sync an iPhone 4 and iPad 1, both running iOS 5.1.1. I've rebooted my machine and even reinstalled iTunes 10.6.1 with no success.

IMac :: Stop Responding - Need To Restart After Unplug
Dec 10, 2010I have found the past 4 weeks that my iMac will not respond to any mouse movement, keyboard, trackpad or pushing the power button every 5 days or so. I must unplug from the wall, replug into wall then push power button, then it boots up. I have had iMac for 9 months and has always just went to sleep and when I move mouse awakens. After I must unplug, it works correctly again for 5 to 6 days then must be unplugged again. Anyone know why this is happening as I do not believe any settings have been changed and I am the only user of this iMac.

The hanging appears to have been caused when I accidently moved about 40GB of old photo's onto my desktop. Almost immediately I tried to cancel but all that happened is that the system has hung. Processer can be heard working in the background.

Nov 30, 2014I have a 27-inch, Mid 2011 running the 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5. I currently have 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 in four slots (4 each).
When I uploaded OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 and shortly after uploaded CleanMyMac 2 I started to experience tremendous latency in processing speeds on all applications. Running CleanMyMac 2 multiple times and removing no longer used apps to free up space did little to resolve the issue.Â

Apr 10, 2010I am trying to figure out why an iMAC does not boot properly. Model ECM 2133 Memory:1GB (only 1 module in one of the 2 available slots). Everytime I push the power button I only hear the chime sound and that's it. You can hear the HDD spinning but the screen is always black. I already did the SMU and PRAM reset and nothing changes.Keyboard is still unresponsive and the screen is black. Mouse light is responsive. I pluged the keyboard on another computer and it works fine. Sorry if I'm not doing something right but I am a newbie with MAC's

Jun 29, 2009I have the white MacBook, I've had it about 2 years now. I was wondering if maybe I have too much on my hard drive and that is why my most commonly used applications have suddenly begun to close mid-use. I've never had this problem before and have recently uploaded quite a bit of music/photos to my MacBook, so it seems to be the only logical explanation for it? Or, I don't think I could've gotten a virus because 1. I'm very cautious about the files I download and 2. I don't think Macs are susceptible to most viruses. I could be wrong, though.
Nonetheless, does anyone know of any solution for this?

Feb 6, 2010I successfully have my mac mini's external hard drives showing up on my macbook pro, however I have run into into a problem. When bringing up programs like ITunes I get a very slow response or application not responding, I songs and videos show up in ITunes after hours upon hours of loading them in. In Plex t also has this problem. It is hit and miss when I try to play a video that is on the hard drive. This is only happens with video and music. Other files I have no problem. I am using an apple extreme router and an apple express router as a booster.

I had removed the "everyone - Read Only" rights on the HD (on the iMac) and opened sharing so my MB could attach to it. Nov 27, 2010My 3-month old iMac was responding very slowly when I used the latest version of Safari. So I forced quit the program. From then on, whenever I turned on the iMac, it would get stuck at the Apple logo start up screen. I had to unplug the power since the machine is getting very hot after 15 mins.
