OS X :: IPhoto Library Not Showing On Desktop / Unable To Set Iphoto Library Photos As Screensaver
I have experienced a problem after I updated to SL last night.I made a fresh install of both SL and iLife 09 on my mbp unibody late 2008.

Afterwards, I replaced the my fresh iphoto library simply with my old iphoto 09library from time machine (no migration tool, only copy pasts).

But now I recognized a problem that I see no iphoto library in my Desktop and Screensaver Menu in control panel. I cant set iphoto library photos as screensaver cause I cant see them

Does anyone have a solution for it? or does anybody face the same issue?

I'm doing a picture book for the first time. All has been going well until I found some pictures that are in my library, but do not show up in the picture bar when adding pictures to the photobook. Seems that they just stop at a certain point almost like I've filled a capacity of some kind.

IPhoto 11 :: Sending Photos By Email ?
I have been an enthusiastic Apple/Mac user for over 20 years, and have always kept the software up to date as I held the highest regard for Mac software....until now!

The latest version of IPhoto 11 (V9.1) is a disaster, compared to the previous iPhoto 09 (V8.1.2)

It is slow Sending emails has taken the process back to a standard worse than the worst old Windows software.

In iPhoto 09 V 8.1.2 sending photos by email was a breeze....select the photos, click on email, my Entourage address file would display, select one or multiple addresses &/or CC, add any narative, and send. The

file size of the photos would be automatically condensed to about one fifth the size, and I would have a record in my sent folder.

None of these important features are available in IPhoto 11 V 9.1! And even worse I cannot revert back to IPhoto 09 V8.1.2!

I travel overseas frequently where sending large files using internet roaming is very expensive and slow, and in outback Australia internet is often very very slow, so without the ability to easily condense file sizes, & keep records of who I have contacted, IPhoto 11 V 9.1 is useless to me.

I have not had time to explore other changes in this version, and hope there are not too many other disappointments.

IPhoto 11 :: Showing Low-res Photos Even In Full-screen Mode?
I'm on iPhoto 9.1 and have just noticed it won't show any of my photos at their true resolution. I have pictures here that have more pixels than my screen does but they appear really fuzzy in iPhoto, even when I turn it to full-screen mode. If I 'Reveal in Finder' and open the pictures in Preview they display properly so the data is still there, but iPhoto appears to be using some cache or thumbnail or something.

IPhoto 11 :: Upgrade Corrupted Photos - Showing Up Black With White Outlines
I am going to post in the iPhoto and Time Machine forums. I tried to upgrade to the iPhoto 11, and bunch of my photos are now showing up blank with white outlines. I would only say that about half of my photos between July 4th and when I did the upgrade are showing up in this manner.

I went back to iPhoto 9 and tried to restore my iPhoto Library back to the point just before I upgraded. When I go into iPhoto "Browse backup" it still shows the the photos blank with white outlines. Also on the right side of Time Machine there are only white bars until Nov 17th. The bars before then are gray. What does this mean? How to recover the corrupt photos?

IPhoto 11 :: How To Resize Photos For Sending By Email
Just bought a new Imac 21". How do you re-size photos you want to send by email? When I click on share then email, i-photo takes the photo and places it into my email body without giving me the opportunity to re-size it and it stays at 2mb to 3mb even if I subsequently change the photo size to small. In fact whatever of the 3 sizes I select, the size of the Mb stays the same.

IPhoto 11 :: Creating Normal Email Letter With Photos
It is most annoying to not have the ability to create a regular email letter with photos. You do not have the ability to put the photos in a plain email in 3 sizes like the older iPhoto. In the previous iPhoto you could select Small, Medium, or Large (original) for photo placement and then the photos were were arranged on a regular email blank page waiting for you to write a letter or message to the sender. Now things are totally screwed up! You can not write a standard email with the photos. We don't need all the fancy borders.

OS X Leopard :: Unable To Email Photos With Iphoto / Not Receiving Mails In Inbox
I'm new to using a mac computer. I just bought my first one last week. I loaded some pics yesterday and attempted to email some to a friend...thought I knew how to do this without reading directions. ...well, after a few tries I locked up my computer momentarily and closed out my many attempts to send the few attempts of open emails I was trying to send through iphoto with a pic. iphoto is now fine and I now know how to send the photos through it using email...my problem now is that when I merely click on mail ... it shows the computer is receiving several messages but fails to put them in my inbox. I tried deleting the mailbox and adding it again. Didn't help. I tried rebooting and also shutting down the computer al the way. Didn't work. I am very computer illiterate (as if that wasn't obvious)...

It appears that the email is "hung up" somehow...like stuck in iphoto mode for lack of a better way to describe this.

OS X :: Unable To Find Lost Photos / Photos Showing In Screensaver
I know by the title you may be saying... here comes yet another post on iPhoto. But I have a suspicion it is much more than that. thus the post in the OSX category. Here is the short version...

I use to have a MacBook Pro (17" if that matters) with OSX 10.5 on it. Back in August '08 I bought a iMac (24") because I had to give the MacBook Back. When I set up the iMac I did the install that allows you to transfer your settings and files to your new computer before I erased everything on the MacBook. Some how I lost a bunch of Pictures I took and had on the MacBook. I just can't find them... i didn't have iPhoto on the MacBook but do on the iMac.

I thought I had lost the photos until one day I pointed the screen saver to my photo folder. Now I can see my photos in the screen saver slide show... but can not see them in iPhoto or in the Photo Folder.I have hope that they are somewhere on my computer but where and how can I get them into iPhoto?

Aperture :: After Importing All Existing Photos From IPhoto - Can Delete My IPhoto Library?
Hello all, first time user here. Downloaded the trial and am thinking about purchasing the full version. I have a few questions here;

1. If I click buy to get the serial number, after authorizing the program, will the "Trial" word disappear from all the menus and setting? And will the library name changed from Aperture 3 Trial Library automatically to just Aperture 3 Library?

2. When I start importing photos from camera into A3, will I be able to use iPhoto to view or edit if I delete the original iPhoto library? In short, will iPhoto be able to share the same library when I start using A3?

3. After importing all existing photos from iPhoto, should and can I delete my iPhoto library?

4. Will I be able to use and install A3 on both my laptop and iMac at the same time or is it restricted to 1 computer?

IPhoto 11 :: Unable To Recover Deleted Photos From Iphoto
I tried to back up my iphoto pictures to an external hard drive. I guess instead of copy the 'iphoto library' icon from my Pictures folder, i copies the 'iphoto library' folder in the 'Aperture Library' folder.

Then i deleted some of my old photos thinking that I have backed up the images. But to my horror, when i copied the 'iphoto library' folder from my external hard drive back to my laptop, it doesn't work.

How can i retrieve my photos??

Intel Mac :: How To Get IPhoto 9 To Display Photos Way Iphoto 6 Did
i have returned all my photos into the new iphoto 9.1.However they aren't displayed the way they used to be. The computer is ignoring all the dates i entered on the individual film rolls and displaying them with date that's embedded on the digital images. An example is i have a film roll which contains photos of my cat Salem which range from 2004 to 2012. This 'folder' used to be displayed at the bottom of all the film rolls as i had it dated 12/25/2020 so i knew where it was and could add to it easily. Now though it's near the top lumped together with 2004 photos dated 2004-2012.How do i get iPhoto to display my photo film rolls the way they were on iphoto 6?I would go back to running TIiger and the apps that came with it including iPhoto 06 but i need snow leopard as i have bought two new Lacie 2 TB drives for storage and they need a newer operating system.

IPhoto still thinks their there though, because I can re-drag the photo to the project and the number of photos doesn't increment. Right now There are 242 photos in the calendar project, and I can see maybe 100 of them.
