IMovie 11 :: What Does Optimizing As Full Size Do

I am importing a lot of movie files to work with. Mainly Flip videos. When I do, I am given the option to optimize as full size, optimize as a smaller size, or not to optimize. My goal is not to loose any quality. Is there a difference between Optimizing as full size, and not optimizing at all? If I do not optimize, it imports the full size, correct? If so, what does optimizing as full size do? How is it different?

MacBook Pro :: 100 Percent Page Size Is Not Full Size...
I have noticed this with both my 13" MacBook Pro, and my 24" Dell monitor.

All I want to do is type a "word" (pages) document at 100% actual size.

When I set the zoom to 100%, it is too small. You can see what I mean when I hold of a piece of regular paper next to the screen. When I set it to 100%, I'd expect the blank page on the screen to be the SAME size as the paper.

OS X :: Won't Change Partition Size / Not Full Size
I changed my partition size firstly from (full disk size) about 160GB to 80GBs in order to create a new one which was another 80GBs after that I decided to just leave this 160GB and one partition, so I did what I decided, but now there is a problem. I did everything under Installation CD and than it shows in Disk Tool that the partition is 160GB on diagrams but under it it shows: total size 80GB... and the same is when I launching Snow Leopard. I'm clicking Macintosh HD and informations than it shows total size: 80GB, I tried to change again partition sizes but it does nothing, I cannot do anything under Mac OS and bootable installation disc. I'm completely stuck it shows, always and always that "Spliting in to partitions finished due an error - could not modficate partition's map".

IMovie 11 :: Why Is Data Size Inspector Twice The Size Of The File
I am not asking this to save space. I am just curious. When playing a dv (captured from camera) clip, I notice that the QT inspector shows data size about twice the size of the dv clip size in file system. Is it because the dv is compressed and QT decompresses?

Doesn't it seem a bit weird that after bigging up how good iPhoto was in full screen and how steve thinks that all Mac apps should have a full screen mode.
Was anyone else a bit surprised when they found out there was no full screen for iMovie or garage, two apps that I would honestly think would be amazing in full screen?

I am finally making the change from the beloved iMovie 6 to iMovie '11 as I need 1080p support. Each time I add a caption the font defaults to "Gill Sans Bold" and Outlined. Each time I have to then changed it to my preferred font/size/color.Is there anyway to change the DEFAULT to be my preferred font/size/color. Sure would save me 30 seconds on each added caption.Oh - is there also a way to set a default duration of say, 4 seconds?

Does anyone know how to reduce the file size? Is there a free converter? I've tried going from Large to Medium but it's not as great as I'd hoped.

Mac Safari :: Is There A Way To Have IMovie NOT Blow Up A Small Video Size .mov
am animating an 8-bit flash video and basically, when all is said and done I want it to be maybe 200X200 dimensions in iMovie. (Its the latest version of iMovie)I export the .mov of the 200X200 video and when I import it into iMovie it just blows up the video to standard 640X480, or whatever they are. So obviously its blurry and distorted. I wanted to have a black screen around the small 200X200 .mov file. The reason being when watching the video it will be like looking at a Gameboy screen. Very small but clear detail.

There's something that's been bugging me ever since I started living with OS X. I'm sure that there must be an obvious solution but I can't find it.

Why don't windows resize properly? The green button at the top left of a typical application (like Firefox, MS Word) gives you a full screen window. Then how do I get it back to default size? I have to drag the corner to resize it every time, and have to fiddle with it instead of just one simple click (the yellow button should do it but it sends the window to the dock instead.)

IMovie 11 :: Image Size And Cropping - Finding Step By Step Guide
I have a video in .mov format that was created by Roxio's Easy VHS to DVD software. The movie is a copy of a 4:3 aspect ratio videotape. When I review the clips from this movie in iMovie, the size and aspect ratio are identical to the original. However, when I move the clips into an iMovie project, the aspect ratio appears to be the same but all of the edges are severely cropped (it's like one used a zoom feature on the image). I get the same result whether I select 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio for the project. I have also had this experience with iPhoto -cropping occurs on any photo being printed or exported. I can convert the .mov into a video DVD or any format, without aspect ratio change cropping. But, that conversion doesn't allow me to edit the .mov.

IWeb 09 :: More Fun With Optimizing - Slow Loading
I put up a site on an external server (Go Daddy). And still the pages take a long time to load. I thought that might be attributable to Mobile Me's server speed. I am not seeing any noticeable speed improvement. In fact the load time seems even more sluggish on this new site. Now granted, the entire page is covered with busy background photo images, at fairly high quality compression. Is that the sole reason for the long load in time? (I will try significantly upping the compression level on the images to see if that makes a big difference.) Also, the images don't seem to cache. When I return to the page, it seems to have to redownload all of the images again to display them.
