Back to My Mac worked in Snow Leopard, now when I check back to My Mac in Icloud settings I get the errort message "server not responding" and it tells me to switch it off and wait 15 seconds before turning it on again.
Apple support pages have no more suggestion than this. The rest of Icloud works fine, just Back to My Mac that is gone

On my MBP, I get the error "iCloud server not responding" in the iCloud section of System Preferences under Back to My Mac. My Mac Mini doesn't have this issue. Both are running Mavericks and on the same network. I can screen share over wifi but not over the Internet because of the above issue with the MBP.Â
I've spent way to much time with Apple's techs on this. Using another iCloud account doesn't work. Safe mode doesn't work. Using another OS account doesn't work. I do have iCloud setup on my Time Capsule router.Â
i recently got into the habit of watching activity monitor. i have noticed that there is constantly a process called ajax server, and it always says it's not responding. i quit is to see what happens and it came back and was normal for about 30 seconds and then went back to not responding.
i was just wondering what this process was and if it is a cause for concern

It was used very day until it stopped yesterday but I can access the site on my PC network no problem. Its only on my Mac network that it cannot be seen even though all other sites are accessed OK.
I'm using a Mac OS X Server ver 10.4.3 and I've installed the Veritas MacOS X agent for remote backup called "be_agnt.tar".
We have been able to run succesful backups for some time now (Using Backup Exec 9.1 for Windows Servers installed on a win2k server) but a few days ago I applied a service pack to the backup exec software (SP4) and now I can't connect to the remote agent from my backup exec server.
This is only true for backups and restores since I still can make selections of what data to backup thru the agent.
I just used an OSX Server v 10.5.0 DVD to upgrade a computer (1.6 ghz G5 tower, 1.5GB RAM) from osx 10.3.9 server. When I get to the 'Serial number' panel, none of the fields will accept any keyboard input. The keyboards worked prior to the upgrade. They work fine on another mac. The eject, volume, and caps lock keys all work. Just the fields themselves in the Serial Number (and the registered to, and organization) fields are ignoring input.Â

I recent updated to OS X 10.7.3. Since the update I haven't been able to run automatic updates, it tries to run and then comes back: "The Software Update Server (r344.local) is not responding. Check to make sure your network connection is operating normally. If there are no issues with your connection, contact your network administrator for assistance." So I go ahead and click it - It runs a connection test and I am 100% connected to the net. I really need to fix this as since I have updated OS X half my programs wont open without updates.

I had a Mobileme account and have changed over to iCloud. In the last three days when receiving mail my accounts have gone offline on two different computers. I can still access them by signing into iCloud, but not from the mail application. I went to accounts and the "incoming mail server" is blank. I have tried creating a new account with "imap.mail.me.com" , but it still did not connect. Has something changed at iCloud?

When I set up my email account to mail, I forgot to uncheck the don't delete messages from server box. Now when I downloaded my email, they were all deleted, is there any way that I can somehow send them back through Mail app back to the original mail server?

I have the new MacBook Pro 13 (2012) running OSX Lion. I also have the iCloud feature. I have done the setup and put in the necessary information. However, when I go to the iCloud website expecting to see my contacts, email, and other items updated, there's nothing there. I've had my MBP for about 3 months now and I haven't seen a way or figured out how to upload my data to the cloud for safekeeping.Â

I've setup my server and enrolled a few devices. Everything works fine if I'm in the same LAN but as soon as I tether my laptop to my cell service and try to issue the remote lock nothing happens till the laptop is back on the network and it gets the lock request. I have changed the hostname of the lion server a few times if that broke something. Also the server is behind a NAT so do ports need to be forwarded?

It's a long story, but basically I ended up deleting one of my calendars off of iCloud (and subsequently off of all of my other devices). I had made a backup of my ~/Library/Calendars folder as well as the com.apple.ical.plist before I was modifying it, and tried to restore the calendar from the Calendar folder. I now have a situation whereby my calendars appear correctly in iCal, but iCloud is not picking up the deleted calendar (the others are still syncing fine). I was looking at trying to unsync/resync, however, iCloud threatens to delete all of my calendar data off the machine but leave it in iCloud, which is not helpful to what I am trying to accomplish. System has latest updates to 10.7.3.
How can I get this particular calendar to sync with iCloud again?

Whenever we attach video files or keynote media, it will play back on the machine we posted it from but once anyone else pulls up the content on their machine it will show a media playback bar but will not play back. We've tried .mov, .m4v, .mp4 etc. and it will never play back.
I upgrade Mac OS 10.7.3. from a network with Lion Server in the office, using software update utility. I changed domain to access to upgrades and works fine. Now I am working our of the LAN, and every time request software update, show me a message saying "Cannot find nnnn.server.com", and can't make upgrades from apple's server. I changed domain, an clear lines, but message repeat. All the time search on software update server from office server. How can I change the software update server on Mac OS 10.7.3.

Can I use Time Machine to back up a file share? I'm thinking of attaching 2 external drives to a mac mini server, the first HD to host an network file share, the second would be a RAID for Time Machine backups of the file share HD.

I have a Mac mini at home and at work. I have iCloud. When I first logged into my home computer using Back to My Mac, it was kind of a shocker to have complete access to everything. That's not what I want. I just want access to one folder (which I called Inbox) into which I can drop documents so that I don't have to take a USB drive home with me. My document needs are just one way sending documents home (I'll file them appropriately when I get home). The added benefit is that if anyone cracks my iCloud password they can access only that one folder.Is there a way to limit access to just one folder? I tried adding my Inbox folder in Sharing in System Preferences but all that does is list that folder along with the volumes when I log into Back to My Mac from work.
