Having an odd problem with Front Row. I have a G5 w/ dual 2GHz processors running the latest of Leopard. I've seen a lot of complaints about FR with laptops, but not much with towers. The menu system and interface works fine, but when I select a trailer to view, it comes up, but no video, only audio is playing. On other boards, some have said that it gets flaky with dual-monitor set ups, which I have. Does anyone know if Apple is aware of this problem and is trying to work a solution? Is there something I can do on my end to coax it into working?
I listen to and watch a lot of podcasts. Quite often, after I am done listening to a Audio Podcast I will watch a video podcast. Some times it gets stuck and won't play the video but plays audio fine. Anyone else have this problem?
I have a DVD with a video on it that plays fine on a PC but on my Macbook Pro it says that it's a blank DVD and will not play the video that is on the disc. The video plays on Windows Media Player when I open it on a PC, so I installed the newest version of Flip4Mac thinking this would work, but the disc still shows up as a blank disc and cannot be played. I work in the legal field, so I got the DVD from an attorney, and I frequently tend to have problems opening videos on my macbook pro that come from the legal field.
I have the newest mac ox software and everything is updated from what i can see. but if i try to watch some video i d/l from the web i can't get any sound from then just the video. anyone else having this problem or know what i can do to make it work?
I need help getting the correct CODECs in order to play video files. (mpeg-4,avi,wmv,divx,etc..) The video show up perfectly but audio doesn't. This happens normally with movies the I download.
I have an older Macbook Pro 2.33 ghz and lately when I've been watching videos on Youtube, Megavideo, etc. the video will become choppy and the sound becomes distorted and gargled. This problem is becoming increasingly annoying (just about everyday) and I don't know what is wrong. I've noticed that this happens when the computer gets really HOT. I usually have to shut the computer so that it goes to sleep and cools down for a little while. When I reopen the computer the video usually plays fine for a while. Anyone else experience this problem or know of a solution?
I'm looking for a software solution that will allow me to capture a firewire video and then play simultaneously while still recording it. Then stopping the recording and let it play till the end of capture.
When a video track begins, the iTunes window comes up, even if I've got iTunes hidden. (Note: it doesn't bring the iTunes application to the foreground; it just shows the iTunes window behind my current window.)
Clearly, this is not the behavior I want when it's _hidden_! ...But I can't find any way to stop this behavior
P.S. This is iTunes version 10.6.1(7) on OS 10.7.4. Also, I'm running SizzlingKeys 3.3.5, if that matters (there doesn't seem to be a preference in this app to control window behavior...).
I use my front jack ALL the time. It stopped working from one second to the next. confirmed that it is NOT the headphones. checked preferences, seems ok.
I'm importing 720p HD video from my new digicam, a Panasonic DMC-ZS3. After importing the video into iMovie, the speed of replay is way too fast (2-3x normal speed). I think it may have something to do with the fact that I'm downloading 720p and somehow the progressive scan is confusing iMovie: [URL]
What is it's purpose? I mean I know you can watch your media files that are on your mac, but you have itunes, quicktime, or dvd player. Is it for recording or editing video? Is it better for watching movie and tv shows on your mac?
I want to convert some video files (specifically swf in this case) to audio files so I can listen on my iPod. I looked everywhere and can't find some free software that does that. There are tons that have trial periods with lots of limitations (like it won't convert anything larger than a 5k size file) so I don't want those because I won't know if the thing works well unless I pay for it. I'm not opposed to paying for a converter IF I know it works awesome on a Mac.
I subscribe to a couple video Podcasts, but don't view them often. But one popped up that looked interesting so I tried and only got the audio. The video window did not open.I checked an older video that came with a purchased album and again, the sound played but the video did not open. No Video just Audio. I'm running iTunes 10.6.1 Lion 10.7.3
I upgraded to Lion and sadly, Front Row is not supported. I somehow found the Front Row app in my systems folder and moved it to my Applications folder. Front Row now shows up in my applications folder, as well as Launchpad. However, when I go into Front Row, it does not recognize any of my media from iTunes. I tried out this website: [URL]..blog/frontrowenablerforlion to no avail. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how to make Front Row work in OS X Lion.
I downloaded a wmv video and the video is coming through just fine, however, I have no sound. I followed the exact directions posted by "satcomer", where I changed my audio output to 44100.0.Hz but still no sound (my default was actually already set at 44100.0.Hz).
When I go to front row, all my video content plays sound, but the picture is just a pure white screen (shows the slider to move chapters, etc., but the screen is just white).
Any ideas for solutions? I did google searches, etc., to no avail. I have a MP (not early 08), which I upgraded the graphics card to a 2600XT, and it's running Leopard.
Any news of Front Row in Lion? Apple is selling the mac mini without any new interface? Apple really needs to offer us something over front row which I don't think has been updated since 2007. So Apple how about it?
I have a .mkv video file with Russian .ac3 audio but separately I have a .ac3 English file and I couldn't find a free program to put the English AC3 audio file in the .mkv video.
I know that VLC is supposed to sync audio/video on the fly and it usually works fine. But is it actually possible to sync the audio with the video when there is an actual fault of the sync in the original, for example, avi-file??
I want to extract the audio from an .flv video. The only way I know of doing this is by putting it in imovie and then doing extract audio but I cant add a .flv video to imovie. What can i do?
I have the most annoying problem with my macbook. Its a Core2Duo blackbook from late 2006. For the past few months videoplay back has been horrible. What it does it when I am watching some video the audio and video will skip than miss a few frames than jump a few than just freeze or crash itunes or vlc.
I'm new to video chatting especially with a mac book. So me and my friend wanted to video chat on meebo, we can see each other, but only i can hear her she can't hear me.
I am new to Macs and I used to have a program for my PC called Tunebite, which plays back audio files and video files back and copies them as whatever you want. Gets rid of copy protection stuff.
