Snow Leopard :: Message Font Very Small On Incoming Emails

On some of my emails I receive the message font is miniature. I have to hit the button to make it bigger like 7 times. I suspect they are emails coming from outlook. Is there a way to override this, like on the iphone, where you can say that you want all message fonts "medium" for example?

Snow Leopard :: Mail Creates Background Image To Some Incoming Emails
In our business we use a signature that is a jpeg attachment. I received an email from a co-worker and his email is all unreadable because the Mail app added as a background image the signature from another co-worker.The visually unreadable email shows a repeated image of the other co-worker's signature image, they work in separate locations, and the source email is not showing this, we are experiencing this type of issue only with our Mac's Mail client. In our iPhones and Windows PC as well as the online webclient we don't have this issue. It seems that the problem is generated by the Mac's Mail app, like for some reason the emails from our company are identified to use this repeated image as a background. How can we avoid this?

OS X :: Font Type In Leopard Too Small
I am quite new to Macintosh and struggle with the very small fonts in Leopard.

I use a mbp 15" with the native resolution and a second monitor.

I adjusted the font size in the preferences to a bigger font. With the finder and some software I am very sadisfied now.But there are still problems here and there.

When I use quick look in the font size is so tiny (small excel files), that even with the lupe function the fonts can not be read properly.

The same happens in other software, as the standard smallest font, used by leopard is just to small.

Is there any proper way, to adjust this globally?

OS X Leopard :: Mail Font Is To Small While I'm Typing
When I'm typing a message in Mail, the font is too small and difficult to read. I know I can increase the size of the font as I would in a Pages document, but then the recipient will be getting an email with a larger-than-usual font.

What I want is for the font to look larger on my screen, but the font still be normal-sized when the email recipient reads my email message. I know I could use the zoom feature available in Universal Access in System Preferences. But that just zooms in on the entire screen in a way I don't like.

OS X Leopard :: PDF Files Opening In Preview With Small Font
I think I have a handle on how my Mac handles PDF files as far as saving and printing goes. I'm running into something that puzzles me with PDF text files I've saved in Safari. When opened on the Mac they are opening up in Preview with extremely small fonts...barely readable. I can of course zoom the file out and it reads nicely. My question is whether of not I can somehow expand the text in the PDF file to a larger size then save it somehow retaining that larger size? Also, I notice that Adobe has a version of Acrobat Reader available for OSX as a free download. Is there any advantage at all to installing this and using it as the preferred program to read, save, and send PDF files over the already supplied Mac support within my OSX?

OS X Leopard :: New Incoming Mail Opening Random Old Emails Instead Of Correct Ones
strangest thing started happening in the last few weeks. I'll open new emails that appear in my IMAP inbox, and when I click to open the email it displays random old emails, new message comes in from Recipient A at XXpm 2009. I click to open and it displays Recipient ZZ from YYpm from 200X.

Anyone else having this problem? I've tried quitting Mail and relaunching to no avail. When I go onto google where my mail is hosted I find the actual correct emails, so I know the corruption is occurring with Apple Mail, not the source email itself.

OS X Tiger :: Mail Now Requests Password But Still No Incoming Emails
I have used the same email address for years and the same internet provider. Approximately 2 months ago the mail stopped working; there was a window requesting "Enter password for Account pdg". I entered that password but had no success. After many attempts at resetting the server settings I phoned the internet provider who solved the problem for me during a very long overseas call.

The same problem has re-occurred two days ago. I had not changed the server settings although on investigation it appears that the application has removed/changed some of these. I have reset them but without success. The Mail application appears to not be accepting my settings. One further quirk is that once yesterday the mail loaded the previous two days emails and then failed again, all for no apparent reason. This is all on my MacBook running OS 10.4.11

Just recently I have noticed that the number of emails that the count says is higher than I actually receive.  For example it will say "1 of 21" but then I will only have 15 to read.

I have tried looking at the settings etc and even counting the Apple message section it still does not equate to the number it say are "incoming".

OS X :: Large Number Of Incoming Message - Download Speed Goes To Zero
I'm using a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo imac with 3GB memory running OS 10.5.8. I've been using mac mail at home, work and on the move for years and have only ever had a couple of minor problems with it. However last Friday, after using it normally in the office, I went out, leaving the machine to sleep. When I came back my mail wouldn't download past message number 7 and it said there were 400+ emails to download when it should have been maximum 10. I tried to shut down mail but every time I tried to shut it down it wouldn't shut down.

I had to 'force quit' even though 'force quit' didn't say 'not responding' alongside mail. When I reopened mail the number of 'new' messages dropped to only 170 odd, but still I can't get past the 10th email and the download speed goes to zero. Also I can't delete some existing messages in my inbox. They go light grey but don't delete. I am able to use mail as normal on my home mac which uses mail with the same account settings as my office mac. I can also access my emails via my iPhone and webmail.

OS X :: Mac Mail - Incoming Message Slow Download
I've noticed a problem with my mac mail. The number 1 over the mail icon comes up to show I have a new mail, but upon clicking into mail to see it, who it is from and the subject line is there, but it takes 20-30 seconds for the mail to download. This is happening across all email accounts, coming from a mixture of imap and pop accounts. I've also noticed in my activity monitor that my amount of free system memory is very low (dropping to under 50 meg when I have things open). If I install more system memory, do you think this will solve the email problem.
