Pages 09 :: Custom Paper Size Smaller Than A4?
I'm trying to design a business card layout to upload to a online printing bureau in Pages '09. To start with I'm trying to setup the paper size to match the size of the cards (88x59mm). From Page Setup I've selected Format For: Any Printer, then from Paper Size I've selected Manage Custom Sizes and added a Business Card paper size with dimensions 8.8x5.9cm. Now when I start a new Page Layout style blank document and select this paper size I'm expecting Pages to adjust the page to this paper size as it would if I selected one of the pre-defined paper sizes. However, it automatically reverts back to A4 and completely ignores my custom paper size.

OS X Leopard :: Custom Paper Size On Canon Ip4500?
I was wondering if there is any way to print on a longer size than the A4 size. For instance i cut a side of an A3 wich results in a 210x420mm size. Is it possible To print on the full length of that size? I've looked at custom paper size setting but don't have that option (it's grey) in the print dialog. Pages 09 :: Shrink All To Fit Smaller Page Size In Pages?
I've formatted a page of text and graphics for an 8/5" x 11" page. It looks great, but now I'd like to make the page smaller, and shrink everything proportionally to fit the newly smaller page.If I simply change the Page Size in Inspector, I get a smaller page, but the text and graphics are too large to fit on it. How can I shrink everything proportionally so that it looks right on the smaller page? Information: MacBookPro (Intel) Mac OS X (10.5.7)

Pages 09 :: Defining Default Paper Size?
After I started using Pages, I noticed that I had to change the paper size from A4 to US Letter every time I wrote a new document. After some research, I learned that I could change the Blank.template file in Pages>Contents>Resources>Templates, and set it to US Letter, so I wouldn't have to change the paper size all the time. However, when I wanted to use one of the built-in templates, and changed the paper size to US Letter, the edges where cut off, as if the template was designed to work exclusively on A4 paper size. Changing it from the Pages resources gave me the same results. So, as Pages is multilingual and the templates are located on the main resources folder, what I believe is happening is that Pages assigns a language to a paper size to make it easier for the users. For example, Spanish>A4, but the problem is that here in Mexico we don't use A4 paper size at all. My question is if I can make something so all the templates are defined in US Letter size. OS X Leopard :: Paper Size Being Overridden By File
I have a bizarre issue with our printing at work. We rely heavily on an HP Designjet 800ps 42" wide printer for our CAD output. We recently got a new Canon color copier document center and right after installing the drivers we starting having troubles with output to the Designjet. No matter what paper size we choose for the Designjet (36"x24" for example) the output is a cropped 8.5"x11" piece of the expected output. I have tracked the problem to the Canon driver (I think) as when we print an 11"x17" file on the Canon and then try another Designjet print, the cropped output is then 11"x17". Somewhere in the CUPS system is a file which is overriding the paper size output, but I cannot find it. I have cleared all prefs, all traces of the Canon drivers, reinstalled the Designjet drivers, reset the printing system, etc. This is happening on a MacBook Pro running 10.4.11 and my work MacBook running 10.5.8. Safari :: Change The Paper Size For Printouts?
When I print out web documents on Safari, it only lets me do it in US Letter format, and I lose the top of the pages. How can I change the print-out format to A4 (which works fine on the print menu for every other program I use)?  US Letter is the only paper choice on the Safari print-out menu

OS X Leopard :: Printing Envelopes - Wrong Paper Size?
I'm trying to print envelopes for iLife cards. Strangely, the text ends up in the wrong place on the page. If I insert an A4 sheet the text appears in the bottom left corner of the page. Changing orientation doesn't correct it either. Printer: LaserJet 1015 (Gutenprint) Do I need to select the correct paper size in "paper handling"? My problem is: the envelope size I need is not featured there. Information: MacBook Pro 15" (2.4 GHz) Mac OS X (10.5.5)

Hardware :: HP C4480 Printer/Paper Size Mismatch?
I have an HP C4480 All-In-One printer. Scanning works, but when I try to print, it gives me a "Paper Size Mismatch" error. I have chosen different paper sizes (A4, etc), tried different OSes, and tried different sized paper. Sometimes the printer works, but rarely. This was not always the case. The printer is only about 6 months old with my macbook, and began having this problem 2 months ago. The ink is brand new, and there's paper. The problem might be that the paper size sensor is dirty or broken, and I read somewhere that I can physicall disable/remove this.. or maybe in the software.

Numbers 09 :: Scaling Spreadsheet To Fit On Selected Paper Size
I'm trying to switch from being a user of Excel to Numbers and I've run into a snag with Numbers. With Excel, when I pressed CMD+P the print menu would pop up and there was a box to check that would allow me to scale the selected spreadsheet to a desired number of pages wide by a desired number of pages long. Does Numbers have the same option? Nothing like this feature comes up when I press CMD+P and I've been unable to find anything in the Help Menu. Information: PowerBook G4 Mac OS X (10.5.5)

Final Cut Pro :: Re Size Clip - Export To Smaller - Re Import?
What is the best way to resize a clip? I have some clips in 1280x720p and a B camera shot of the same person that was shot at 1440x1080p and I want to multi-edit them so they need to be the same size. Is there a way inside FCP to re-interpret the 1440x1080 to 1280x720 or do I have to Export them as smaller clips and re-import them? Just have a lot of clips so would be good to find a internal FCP way of doing it. Information: Mac Pro Mac OS X (10.5.6) 9GB RAM

Hardware :: Time Capsule Backup Size Smaller Than Disk File?
I have been using time capsule for only a few weeks and I have noticed that the file it has created "Elliot Newman's MacBook Pro_001b63936847.sparsebundle" only reads a file size of 95GB, when the disk I am backing up has 148GB used. Does this mean the backup doesn't contain all my files? I have to say it concerns me a little that the backup shows only a single file, is there anyway to see the files that time capsule has backed up? I am updating my MacBook soon with a bigger internal drive and I want to make sure all my files are backed up before I do this.

OS X Leopard :: Preview Scale To Fit Paper Size Not Working For PDFs
If I have a pdf document that is larger than A4, Preview's 'scale to fit paper size' does not seem to do anything. Even the actual preview of the pages in the print dialog doesn't change when toggling the 'scale to fit' option. Strangely, my pdf e-invoice from the Apple Store for my new MacBook Pro was larger than standard A4 size, and I couldn't get Preview to scale it. This isn't a printer issue, as I have the same problem on 2 completely different printers. Also, Adobe Reader has no problem scaling the pdf. I even generated a pdf from Inkscape that was larger than A4, and Preview couldn't scale it to fit on A4, but Adobe Reader could. Information: MacBook Pro 13" 2.26 GHz Mac OS X (10.5.7)

OS X V10.6 Snow Leopard :: Preview App Won't Save Paper Size For Printing?
How can I purge my print settings via .plist or other so I can change my paper size? No matter what I select, preview application 'refreshes' my print values to a fixed 8.5x11 that applies a second border to my pdf and pushes everything down the page. Borderless 8.5x11 just won't stay as the value even though my printer has done this before. Worked fine prior, but now it just will not take a new page size. Pages 09 :: Business Card Paper Template For Print Out
I've created an awesome business card in Pages - one of my first few original works. When I started I deleted all the template cards on the sheet. I then created my business card from scratch. When it was finished I went to copy/paste all of the elements (test boxes/shapes/etc) so I could position them in the other business card boxes outlined to the paper template used to print them out. When I do this it pastes everything on top of the sheet. Its almost as if the entire canvas is copied and pasted on top of itself. OS X Leopard :: Can't Change Paper Type From Roll Paper To Sheet Fed
I'm trying to print to both an Epson Stylus 960 and a 2200. In the Print dialog box, under the Print Settings tab, under Page Setup, it's displaying Roll Paper. I don't have the roll paper attachment on either of the printers, and can't figure out how to tell the computer I'm NOT using roll paper. I have a sheet inserted into the sheet feeder, and when when I try to print, I get an error message telling me that the paper is not loaded correctly (I'm assuming it's looking for a roll). It's driving me nuts! I have never printed with a roll on either printer, so I don't know why it thinks I'm using roll paper. Information: PowerMac G5 Dual 2.3 Mac OS X (10.5.5) 4.5 Gb RAM
