I was trying to publish a newly created website, from my iWeb to a folder on my desktop. What happened, is that its not trying to save the new one that I've selected and is highlighted, but starts with the last one that I already have published.

I opened iWeb 3 just now, to find that Apple has removed the option to publish to a folder. So luckily I have MobileMe account and can publish to there and copy the files from iDisk to other web host, but others may not be so lucky.

I am working on a few sites on my iWeb. I don't have a .mac account so I publish them to a folder and upload to my sites through ftp. My problem is, everytime i click "publish to folder", it publishes ALL my sites and folders, instead of only the ONE i am working on.

Many years back, I used to have a website on freewebs (now known as web dot com). I would pay a monthly fee to host it and publish directly through their website by accessing my account online. Recently, I visited the site and found it still exists. Only that it has lots of advertisements on it since I don't pay a monthly fee anymore. Now that I have a Mac, I wanted to use iWebs to create a new website. It says I can use MobileMe to publish the website I create with iWebs. So my questions are:
(1) Will MobileMe act as my new host to which I pay the yearly subscription fee?
(2) My previous host had a charge for the amount of gigabytes I published , site traffic (bandwidth), etc., what are my limits for MobileMe?
(3) The main reason I was considering to purchase a MobileMe account is so I can use it as my host for a website published through iWebs '09 since they say thats the easiest way to publish. I would use the other MobileMe non-website features if I bought a subscription, but really would not purchase it unless it was for this website publishing tool. Do you think its worth it?
(4) Is there anything different about using MobileMe as a website host than my previous host (i.e. freewebs)?
(5) I had purchased a website name on GoDaddy which I still own. I used to redirect my freewebs site to this website name I had purchased on GoDaddy. Can I redirect my MobileMe hosted website to this website name I purchased on GoDaddy just like I used to do with my old Freewebs site?
(6) I don't see anything on the MobileMe page at Apple Store giving information about hosting charges, maximum limits, bandwidth, etc. It mostly just talks about publishing photo albums, e-mail, contacts, calendars, etc. Is there anything important I need to know about using MobileMe as my sole host for publishing a website?

Now that I can no longer publish my iWeb sites via Mobile Me, I have tried to use the ftp server that I pay for through a site hosting service for my business (sitemason). Unfortunately, there is some "redirect" that I cannot find and it creates an index that makes the iWeb pages become my "Home" page. I don't need to override my existing website, I only want the iWeb pages to open when the links to them are accessed. Is this a simple issue or should i just pay some service to publish my iWeb content and keep it nested within my old site?

I've had my macbook for almost a year and just recently used iweb to try to start my webpage. I've never built a webpage either, so I'm pretty new at all of this. I have a domain thru [URL] and I put together a home page and tried publishing it multiple times. When I hit the publish button on iweb it loads and loads and loads and loads and never ends. Not sure if it's on the iweb or godaddy side that isn't allowing it to load.

Has anyone yet come up with a solution for the publishing problem with latest version of iWeb just released? Seems it creates the pages ok, but when it goes to publish to dotMac it stops mid way with an error statement against some random photo file, a different one each time. It will publish ok to a folder though. Lots of discussion about this in Apple Discussion forum but no answers. I wonder if Apple is going to fix this or if a work around exists.

I created a website in Iweb. When I go to save my file in Publish to a folder I get a error message reading "Publish error" An unknown error occurred. And when I pulled up my existing iweb file many of the photos were missing. The photo placeholders had Question marks in them.

My problem is that iWeb doesn't publish my site the way it is shown in iWeb. I made some modifications to my site in iWeb (put some picture frames on my site, lines) but when I publish to a folder and then to a different domain, my site won't look nothing at all with the one I have created in iWeb. I checked my site with Firefox and Safari and the lines or the picture frames disappeared or don't appear as they should.

I just updated my MacBook to Lion, and I used to have a folder when using Leopard called "Library." I can't find it anymore. The only way to get to it is to open Xcode 4, make a Cocoa application, build it, then right-click the target, then click "Show in finder. This is what the library folder looks like after I do that:
I can still click the folder and it will show me its contents, but once I leave the home folder, the folder dissappears, and I can't find it:

When I have an item listed in a Spotlight search that is in a folder I'm actually looking for, how do I figure out where the folder is located? I often remember a document or app and want to add something to the same folder, but can't find it-- Spotlight does not give the path that I can see.

I am trying to move material created in earlier iWeb (08?) to an FTP server. It is now saved as a web archive. I also have been on mobileme. I am on snow leopard and am not quite ready for lion. I can't seem to find an iweb page in the web archive. To follow the instructions from my new web host I need to have the iweb page that lsts the site name. How can I find this from the web archive? Otherwise I seem to find the content of my iweb-created blog when I open the web archive (in Safari).

I accidentally dropped my "Applications Folder" off my Dock when I first got my Mac and it disappeared. When I put it back by dragging the applications folder onto the Dock, instead of assuming the Applications Folder logo, it took on the logo of the first application in my Applications Folder: the Address book. Now, my desktop permanantly has the picture of the Address Book instead of the picture of the Applications Folder.
How do I fix this? ive followed other thread advice with no luck. Is there a way to re-set the Dock? Where does the logo live and how do I get it back there?

I just upgraded to Lion, and noticed in my users section, there's no "Library" folder. In Snow Leopard I used to delete the 'caches' folder (inside Library) every few weeks to clear the clutter. What to do? Here's a screen shot. "Library" should be between "Downloads" and "Movies," but it's not.
