I have a Sansa-- and, as I'm sure has been said before, am incredibly frustrated with the lack of compatibility with mac.
Anyone know of a script or such to get my iTunes onto my Sansa? I'm operating a MacBook and have a Sansa m240 player.

Couple days ago I deleted a playlist on my Itunes accidentally. Luckily I have all my music backed up on an External HD. I remade the playlist on Itunes, transferred the music from my Ext. HD to the playlist, connected my ipod to have it synced, then disoconnected my HD and Ipod after sync and when I search the playlist on my Ipod I only get 29 of the 142 songs synced. Can someone please tell me what could be going wrong?

I brought my iPod to work (which only has PCs), and I've been charging my iPod on the PC. The PC doesn't have iTunes, so the PC treats the iPod like it's just a mass storage device but it still charges fine. Also, the "Format" label under the settings in the iPod now says "Windows."
Now I am wanting to re-sync my iPod to my Mac to add more music, but when I do, the Mac doesn't acknowledge that the iPod is even connected (not even in the Finder window).
I have a Mac running Lion 10.7.3 and iTunes 10.6.1 and I have a New iPad that I just got yesterday. It has been updated to IOS 5.1.1. I can get it to sync only with the USB cable. I have verified that the iPad is on the same WiFi network as my Mac, and that Sync over WiFi is enabled on both the iPad and in iTunes. I have three other IOS devices that are syncing over WiFi without problems so I beleive I know what I'm doing. Maybe I missed a step?

i recently got a 3rd gen iPod shuffle. In my music i have "synced only checked playlists" I also have sync only checked songs. When I make a change to my playlist in iTunes and sync, it doesn't change in the shuffle when I sync.

I have to stop right here because thoughts of "class action", of feeling having been defruaded, of having been taken for a ride. If I had nown before I bought my iPhone 4s that I would have to purchase all kinds of third party help to make it work only seemingly correct I would have never bought one. Since getting my iPhone 3GS just a few months ago, I have never been able to connect to iTunes. I was getting a strange error code, but when I tried again today, I got this message instead, "iTunes could not connect to this iPhone. Could not allocate a resource." I have had this phone for months now, but have never connected it to iTunes, and would REALLY like to so I can back things up. I have tried plugging into EVERY USB on the back of my iMac. The same thing happens in each one. I've also tried unlugging ALL other peripherals, and still nothing. Oh, and FYI, the phone connects just fine to iPhoto.

This works fine for photos, iCal, contacts but I what I would like to do is to be able to back up and view my sms on my Mac. Does anybody know if there is anyway of achieving this (free if possible)? If not, can anybody recommend a phone (other than the obvious iPhone) that has this syncing capability with Macs? I am looking to update my phone soon anyway.

I use iCloud for syning Mail & Notes. Contacts, Calendars and Documents & Data. I am 100% sure that in the past in iTunes/Info tab "Sync contacts" and "Sync Mail Accounts" showed all my different Address Book groups and different email account to be synced. Since recently they seem disappeared and I only see my different Calendars to be synced. Why are both Sync contacts empty and Sync Mail Accounts both emtpy/dimmed. BTW if I check Sync contacts I get a message that they are synced through iCloud etc. etc. Now if I enable on my Mac another email account in Apple Mail it is not added to my iPhone/iPad anymore. How can I change that ?Â

So here is what I'm trying to do, I've got a 160 gb of music in itunes on my macbook pro, but I need to decrease that number, b/c my I'm running out of hard drive space and my library is only getting larger. I want to have it set up so that I've got my entire library on my external hard drive (1 TB, space is not an issue), and while I'm at home I can access the entire library. However, while I'm out of the house, I'd like to only have about half of my current collection with me on my macbook pro..
I tried to set it up using the 'itunes manage multiple libraries' method, but this didn't transfer any of my ratings or playlists. Then I realized that with having these two libraries completely separate, this will be a re-occurring theme. The playlist and ratings between the two separate libraries in two separate locations, would continue to get more and more askew from each other depending on which library I'm accessing when I import new music, change ratings, or modify playlists...........
I've been syncing my devices for years, but after I updated to iTunes 10.6 then attempted to sync my iPhone 4, iTunes aborts and does not complete the sync. I tried my iPad as well with exactly the same results. So, I expect that something has begun corrupted in iTunes and I tried to revert to the previous version of iTunes with Time machine, but the Mac reported that I cannot remove iTunes.It could be a library that is corrupt or a cache of some sort, but I can't tell.Â

I had been sync'd with an old PC laptop previously. If I choose to sync my iPhone (4S) with iTunes on the MacBook, will it delete my apps and data (as the warning in iTunes leads me to believe)? I do use iCloud backup on the iPhone, and I've got all kinds of apps installed (and arranged to my liking). What's the best way to have my music sync with the MacBook without having to reinstall my apps?Â

I have Configured my MBA(OS X 10.7.3) mail with the Icloud, Exchange Server, and Gmail. In ICal I have made my Gmail Calender as the Subscription, Exchange Calender, shows as the Separate Calender in Ical. I have an iMac 3.06GHz 1TB HD with 4GB RAM and a 17" MacBook Pro 2.4GZ and 4GB RAM both running OSX 10.5.3 and an individual Mobile Me account which used to be a .Mac account. I can no longer sync the iMac using Mobile Me. Syncing ius disabled and I can find no way to enable it. The Macbook Pro shows both computers as registered for syncing but the iMac shows neither. The Macbook Pro seems to have no problem with syncing, other than what I want to sync is on the iMac which will not sync. I have searched this nsite and the Apple site but can find no reference to why syncing is disabled on the iMac. It worked fine under .Mac Do you have any ideas please as this is beginning to get urgent.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI own a 5th Gen ipod (clickwheel) that i recently reset, but now it will not charge or sync with my itunes. when i connect it to my computer it shuts off saying, "no battery power remain connect ipod to power." then it goes to a screen that says "wait very low battery." i leave it still plugged into my mac and in a couple minutes the apple logo appears and then "do not disconnect." it appears to be connecting to my itunes and begins to sync, but then it shuts off due to "no battery power," repeating the entire cycle it did before.
How can i fix my ipod? i do not own a separate power charger for the ipod and unfortunately the nearest apple store is four hours away.I also don't understand why it won't charge while connected.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSomething seems to be wrong with my MobileMe syncing. I recently did a hard drive replacement in my MBP due to a failing hard drive. I did a complete mirror of my hard drive and everything is working fine except for MobileMe. I am able to sync all MobileMe items except for the Calender. When it gets to �alendar syncing a window pops up with the following:
You need to replace your Calendar information on MobileMe
If this computer has the most current information, click Replace. If the most current information is on another computer, cick Fix Later and replace your information on that computer.
Obviously my only two options to click are Fix Later and Replace.
The problem is while I was unable to use my computer I was using my iPhone mostly with the calendar which of course synced to my MobileMe account.
I don't want to choose Replace since this computer was not used for approximately 2 weeks so is not at all up to date.
I can choose Fix Later but I never get any other options.
I simply need to have this computer get the information from MobileMe and place it on this computer since both my iphone and MobileMe is up to date but I never get that option.
How do I do this (take info from MobileMe and put on this computer)?

I've just joined mobile me and so copied my documents folder into iDisk. But when I edit a file or create a new one, iDisk doesn't update. Does this mean I now have to save all files twice?
