When I try to open mail, it opens for a couple of seconds, then quits with message "Mail quit unexpectedly." When I click reopen button, the same thing happens again. I've tried a hard restart and that didn't work.Â

In Keychain Access I have a number of passwords for WiFi networks I am never going to use again. (Hotels etc)Â So decided to delete them.Â
I can delete the entries with an iCloud designation (have to type in an admin password etc) but when I try to do the same thing to the same entry but with a System designation - as soon as press "delete" the application quits. Happens every time - no matter what the item is. For some reason the Application just doesn't like me trying to delete System designated passwords!Â

I had to do a "recovery" from Time Machine backup and since Safari will quit unexpectedly every time and I have to use Firefox.
The must do "recovery" came about because the system was hanging with the gearbox spinning and never starting up the system.
My system is: Mac Pro early 2008 running on OS X 10.9.4. Before the permanent hangs system as running very, very slow.

I tried to email several large photo files from iPhoto via mail.app. All five of these emails are still sitting in drafts folder. Now I can't even open mail.app. It immediately quits. I deleted the drafts in Finder (or at least I think I did) and emptied trash. i'm using an ibook G3 . i bought and installed tiger 10.4.11. this ibook had to have additional RAM to run the 10.4. i installed a 512mb to compliment the on board 256mb RAM. when online a dark screen drops and prompts me to restart by holding down power button till it shuts off. then hit power again to turn back on. when i turn back on it drop a window "mac os x quit... do i want to report" i click report and the window disappears, and use firefox to log back on. i tried safari , but have problems with it, firefox gets online and stays online. it will restore my session , but i lose the work. i used disk utility, both drives scanned ok. permissions as well. i've downloaded yahoo messenger 3.0 , and installed macally icecam since the 10.4 upgrade.

I uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it using a new dmg, but it still says this. I also tried uninstalling Flip4Mac and taking out the plug-ins from users/*user*/library/itunes/itunes plug-ins.
apologies if this has been answered else-where but Ive looked and found no solutions. My problem is that I cannot access network preferences. I can access system preferences and turn my airport on/off via the toolbar, but I cannot actually open the network preferences without system preferences unexpectedly quitting. View 7 Replies View RelatedIt happened 3 times today and at most 20 times within the last 3 months. When using Quick Look to view movie files, the movie freezes and the Finder restarts. Kinda annoying. No error message shows up after the restart.

When I try to launch iChat, the icon bounces once, then I am informed that "The application iChat quit unexpectedly." Clicking the "Relaunch" button twice gives me the option to "Reset and relaunch," but that does not help either.
iChat runs fine within another user account on the same machine.
I am running Mac OS X 10.5.8 on a 15" MacBook Pro 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.

I installed parallels 3.0 on my macbook. after install i double-click the app, then it says parallels "unexpectedly quit". I try to relaunch, and change settings and relaunch. Nothing seems to work.

This has happened to my laptop once before and I had to replace my hard drive. First of all I'm running Tiger 10.4.11 with Safari 4.1.3. Basically I'll just be online, using Safari and suddenly it "quits unexpectedly." There's no one thing that I do that makes this happen either. Has anyone experienced iChat quitting unexpectedly?
I use iChat primarily to video chat with my girlfriend who's currently away for nursing school and prior to upgrading to SL, it worked fine. I don't know if upgrading had to do anything with it, but it's really become more prominent after the upgrade. Before posting this thread, it quit 4 times while using the video chat.
I would post the error details to see if anyone can decipher something out of it, but I don't want to unless it's needed.
But yeah, has anyone experienced it and if you have, would you happen to know a fix or if a fix is on the way from Apple?
I have an issue with Safari. It quits automatically on some web sites such as Facebook for instance or more recently when I consult my mailbox. Sometimes, on some web sites, it works and on another it quits.

I have a project i need to do and anytime i click on the music icon or try to open any music it quits unexpectedly. Origninally it was letting me open the music and play it and would only quit when i tried to drag the clip over. I somehow accidently changed the view to the album covers and now it wont even open. Any ideas how to fix this so i can add music to my project.?
