I have aquired a Titanium 15" PowerBook and someone has wiped the software off it, so I purchased some new Tiger 10.4.6 Tiger software for it, because someone told me this is what I needed.
After trying to install the OS it comes up with: Unable to find driver for this platform: "PowerBook5,6"

OS X Leopard :: Cannot Recover - Unable To Find Drivers For This Platform
I have an old G4 PowerPC that's still reliable and I've kept OS X as up-to-date as will still run on that machine (I think that means 10.5, but I can't confirm that for reasons below). I was housecleaning files on the machine today. It has the original hard drive, plus one I added later. Both hav worked fine up until now. For reasons I won't get into I decided to move my system files from the original drive to the other one and use that for my boot drive. That's where I ran into trouble.

After copying the files over, I reset my start up drive and rebooted. Now I get a half screen full of text starting with "Unable to find driver for this platform: PowerPC1.2", and a bunch of Backtrace and Exception codes. It finishes with "We are hanging here..." I can't reboot from any of my install disks (holding "C" down) going back to the one that came with that Mac, and I can't use any of the alternate ways of rebooting with key combinations... e.g. Single-user mode, rebooting holding Shift, etc. Ultimately, whatever I do, I end up with the same half screen of text with the same stuff on it.

It's a G4 with 500MHz/768MB RAM and 10.4 has been working without any issues (and boots normally).

Power Mac G5 :: Unable To Find Driver
I have two computers. A Dual 1 GHz PowerPC G4 and a 2x2.66 Ghz Dual-Core Intel Mac Pro.

I am expanding drives, upgrading software/OS and did some swapping around, and now have a drive from my Mac Pro with 10.4.11 and all my apps (I had to clone it to a drive that fits to the G4).

Right now, my G4 is running Leopard, and the reason I am swapping the Tiger drive to my G4 is because it runs better together. However, when I try to start up from it using "Startup Disk", I receive the gray screen of death:

Panic (cpu 0 caller 0x002E639C) Unable to find driver for this platform.

I am assuming that since I did not use the original G4 disks to install a driver, I will not be able to use this disk as a startup. Is there a way I can install JUST the driver from my original G4 install cds without over-writing my entire hard drive...I don't want to have to rebuild it, which was my intention all along as the drive is setup exactly as I want it.

Mac Mini :: Find An Error Message Saying "please Restart You;re Mac Now"?
I recently came back to my mac mini to find an error message saying "please restart you;re mac now" in various languages. After trying to restart it, it would not boot up and all I can hear is a wurring and clciking noise. After reading a post elsewhere I heard it might be worth trying to unplug everything and insert the power cable whilst holding down the on button. When doing this the fan came on at full speed, very noisey, and stayed on but nohting else happened. I could not turn it off with the off switch and had to unplug it again.

This is really urgent as I have lots of work I need to do and the only copies are on my mac (I know...). Couldn't be a worse time for this to happen really! Has anyone got any ideas what could be the problem??

OS X Leopard :: Mac Running 10.5.8 Crashes With Hard Restart Message?
Mine is a Mac Pro 1,1 with 6gb Ram, 4 cores @ 3ghz, 27" cinema display. I've had 10.5.8 installed since it was released. In the last few days I've had 3 or 4 system crashes, where it's like a blind comes down over the screen and a message says to do a hard restart on the machine. On two of those occasions when the machine comes back up there's been a dialog to send a report to Apple. I'll paste in one of those reports below. All Apple software updates are applied. Looking through it I can't see a lot of clues as to what area the problem is in. I guess HFS is the file system. Does backupd refer to the Time Machine process, by any chance? I have that running all the time. I can't pick anything that seems to trigger these crashes. I had WoW going both times, and EyeTV for the first one but not the second or third ones.

Mac Mini :: Restart Message - Hold Power Button / Press Restart Button
I have just shipped my Mac Mini to its new home and I've had reports that the panic error is appearing on boot up: "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button for several seconds or press the Restart Button." This screen appears on the blue window just after the grey apple screen has disappeared and does not get as far as the desktop at the same point each time. We have tried to reinstall mac OS from the original install disk but holding the "C" Key or the "Option" Key down on restart doesn't boot from disc. Is there a way you can view the Kernel Panic log before you boot into Mac OS so we can try and pin point the source of this problem. I'm wondering if this could have been the result of the shipping that has caused some hardware to come loose.

MacBook :: Freezing At Random Intervals Forcing To Manually Restart
In the last few weeks my Macbook has started be begin freezing at seemingly random intervals. It is a 2008 Macbook, not a Macbook Pro or Macbook Air. At first this was only once a day, or once every other day, but it has gotten progressively worse. By today, I can't go more than 2 or 3 hours without it freezing, forcing me to manually restart the computer. The freezing is not application specific; once it freezes with one application, if I try to pull up anything on the menu bar, the menu bar proceeds to freeze. I haven't made any recent major changes to the computer, and it had been working perfectly fine before now. I'm working on scanning it in case it is a virus, but this is seeming increasingly unlikely.
