I am after a Router Modem for use in the UK with my ADSL. I want 'N' so I can stream my videos. The Wireless G I have is ok but stalls through films and rebuffers on the AppleTV.

I have seen the Netgear WNDR3700 but the reviews say the speeds they get are only 60mbps which I dont get as its supposed to be 600mbps.

OS X Leopard :: How To Connect To Router And Modem
I have 3 Macs in the house. One mini (2009) that sits right next to the Belkin, and an iMac and Macbook on the second floor of my house (the kids use these). They've been complaining that it's harder to get signals, signals are dropping, or they are taking longer to connect into. I'm not sure what to do to figure out the problem. Is the modem not working? (That is also several years old.) Or is it the Belkin? I would simply buy the Airport Extreme if I knew that would solve the problem, but I'm not sure.

IMac Intel :: Recommendation About Good Router?
I have an old D-Link that is finally getting on my nerves more than I can tolerate (slow, dropping connection, unreliable connections), so as I use mainly intel macs and just have access to an ipod touch, I have to bite the bullet and get a new router. Airport Extreme is a little outside my budget - and while I'd get it if I have to, I am concerned from reading various posts that even an Extreme may not totally solve my problems. I "blame" the D-Link - and it is outdated for the intels, but this is a large, old house with lathe and plaster and there are always places wifi is more reliable. I did try a booster antenna on the D-Link but it is just not enough. I don't want to spend almost $200 on an Extreme only to have to get an Express to boost the signal.

Hardware :: How To Configure Router/Modem
So, for the past 5 months or so, any time I'm using the internet at home, the connection speeds are atrocious. I bought a new modem (which Charter quickly dispatched as being "unsupported", despite 3 techs telling me it would work), tried hard wiring my iMac to check for wifi issues, and have basically just gone out of my mind with speeds that make dial-up look favorable.

Whenever I experience page timeouts or flat out no connectivity, I resort to the time-tested "turn Airport off/on" solution, which provides a page or two of fast connectivity before the slow downs continue. I'm beginning to think my router is on its way out, but the fact that it works sometimes makes me think it still might be the ISP.

OS X Leopard :: Airport/Airport Express Doesn't Work With 2Wire Modem/router?
I've been trying to get my 2Wire modem to work with my Airport base station and Airport Express modules and haven't been able to at all. There are some security settings on the 2Wire modem that are very complicated. I've tried all sorts of things but nothing has worked.

What I want to do is use the Airport for a music network (and possibly using it as a LAN for accessing computers and printers, although that's secondary). I can get my Airport music network going just fine when it is hooked directly into the Ethernet port on the iMac (disconnecting the 2Wire), but when I connect it to my 2Wire DSL modem/router (model 2701), it doesn't work. I've read about bridging, changing IP addresses, etc., etc., to solve the problem but I don't want to have to have such a complicated setup that I'm going to forget how to reconfigure if anything goes wrong.

So, I was wondering if getting an Ethernet hub and hooking it up to the iMac and connecting the two devices to the hub would work. Can you still buy an Ethernet hub these days? I'm a little confused as to the difference between Ethernet hubs and Ethernet switches.

I also have a MacBook. Would it be easier to connect the base station to the MacBook Ethernet port and run the AirPort network from there instead?

More specifically: I have Cable High Speed Internet and a D-Link DIR-655. It does not work real well and is ridiculously complex to setup.

I was using an airport express (as a bridge) which died after only about a year of use. IMac Intel :: Can't See DSL Router/Modem Though Macbook
Desktop is a 2GZ, 20Inch, Core Duo running Tiger 10.8 and 2MB Ram

Also have a Macbook that runs just fine...

The Modem is a Yahoo BB in Japan, not sure the make/Model

Now, I moved to New house, and have a new ADSL connection. Problem is that my Imac cannot see the ADSL router/modem and I cannot connect to the Net....I do have a faint connection from a neighbours WiFi (oops) so I can get a VERY slow connection on the desktop, but really not suitable, need that cable running. (Ideally running Wifi from my desktop cable connection for my Macbook and Iphone)

I plugged in my Macbook and it was running in no time, and still does so I know the connection is fine and the modem/router is working and linked to the NET.
