OS X Leopard :: Way To Add Options To Menu / When Right Click Something

Does anyone know of a way to add options to the menu when you right click something? I would like to add "send to mail recipient" as an option when I right click a file. It would be much easier to mail a file this way than the other ways I have been using. I would also like to add some other stuff as well.

OS X :: Menu Highlight Gone (Right Click On Options)
That's what I see when my mouse is over any menu item and when it's not over any menu item. I've lost menu highlight on the menu bar and the contextual menu (via right click on files and folders) My system is running OS 10.5.2. I've already tried fixing disk permissions. It's like my mouse has gone into stealth mode. Interface can no longer detect my cursor is hovering over them. E.g. Hovering over a web link doesn't highlight that it's a link and status bar below doesn't print the url address of that link. Last thing I could remember was telling Opera 9.25 to give me a pop up regarding web cookies. That's when I lost menu highlight.

Mac Safari :: Finding Right Click Menu Options?
Ever since I updated to Safari 5.0.3 at home, I no longer have all of the numerous drop-down options for saving images when I right click with my Wacom Stylus or my mouse. I only get 3 options. I also have Safari 5.0.3 on my Mac at work, but I still have all of my drop down menu options. There aren't any preferences I can change for this, so what can I do? It's very aggravating to not be able to save pics right to the folders I have set up. I can only download them to the desktop or drag them to opened folders. What gives?

OS X :I Can't Click On Any Of The Menu Options And Expose Stops Working?
I'm on an older blackbook (2 years old? ca. summer 2007) running Leopard and I'm getting some weird behavior with Finder. When I right click on anything in the dock, i.e., to close a program, the dock locks up, I can't click on any of the menu options, Expose stops working and the alt+tab interface stops working, as if everything is frozen... This caused me to think that Finder was crashing, but then I discovered that when I went up to the menubar at the top, everything "unfroze." The dock went back to normal and was usable, expose works fine and the alt-tab interface works fine too.

Final Cut Pro :: What Determines Whether The Main Right-click Menu Or The Sync Menu Pops Up
When (say) the audio clip is out of sync with its video clip on a timeline, and you right-click on that clip, sometimes a 'move into sync/slip sync' menu pops up - and that's really useful. But I never have gotten down exactly HOW to get this optional menu to come up - half the time, the regular right-click menu pops up instead. I can't determine exactly what action will guarantee what makes the sync menu appear - I've tried top/bottom/edge/centre etc of the clip and key modifiers, but I'm clearly missing something- tips welcome.

OS X Leopard :: Possible To Change List Order Of Control Click Options
I was wondering if it was possible and how to change the list order of options when you control click. Like for instance when you control click text to spell check. My problem is that whenever I spell a word wrong (which is every other word) I have to control click and move my mouse up through a whole bunch of clap before I even get to the words. Instead of the word options being at the top if they were at the bottom it would make my typing a completely different experience+faster! I don't even know were to start on doing this and have no clue which topic.

OS X V10.6 Snow Leopard :: Services Missing From Right Click Menu?
I was trying to install some services that I created using applescripts and ThisService. The problem I'm having is that Services is not available in the menu when I right click on a folder or file. Looking under Keyboard in the system preferences, I can see all of the different services that are availible. I have the ones I'd like to use checked but no services appear in the menu when I right click. I've tried resetting defaults in the preferences, logging in and out, restarting and nothing helps. I found another post that said open terminal and run this /System/Library/CoreServices/pbs. When I enter that in the terminal, I get this message "No languages specified - assuming English" and nothing changes. I'm running 10.6.8 and I know that Services used to be avalible in the menu.

Server V10.5 Leopard :: Show View Options Missing In Finder Menu
I am going nutz trying to figure out why I don't have the "Show View Options" under the View menu in finder. I did a search here and found what I thought to be the problem: Cant open Show view options under View. This is the solution if the problem is that you cannot see the Show View Options: Some kind of application that you installed, even if you don't know it did it, changed a setting in the finder preference file. Go to home/library/preferences and open com.apple.finder.plist, then scroll to the bottom of the file and you will see and option named: ViewOptions-inmutable, make sure the checkbox is not selected, or that the boolean value is the opposite of the one it has right now. So if it has TRUE change it to FALSE. Save the document and use the CommandOptionEscape combination to see the Force Quit Apps windows, select the finder and click the Relaunch button.

Unfortunately, I could not even find ViewOption-immutable in the file when opened in Property List Editor. So, I created a new user to see if the problem was global, and the Show View Options was there for this new user. So I copied that users finder.plist into the shared folder, logged back into my user and replaced my finder.plist with the one that was correctly displaying for the new user. Relaunched finder and still nothing. Then I wondered if anyone else in the office was being haunted and sure enough, everyone's finder is missing the view options, command-j, command-+, etc. doesn't work for anyone. So now I suspect it is something awry with us being network users utilizing Portable Home Directories. I tried also replacing my network sync folder's finder.plist and logging out/in to see if it was pulling it from the server... but still same behavior. I checked Workgroup Manager and there are no preferences being managed for any user.

Final Cut Pro :: Add Transition And Click "Add Edit" Option
I'm really new to Final Cut Pro... but very experienced in most other pro level Photo and Vector software. I'm following a video tutorial to learn the software, but I keep getting the "Dropped Frames" Error when I add effects. The way I'm doing it right now is I drag the slider to the point in the clip I want to add a transition and click the "Add Edit" option. From there I go to the browser and add the "Video Transition" "Dissolve". It shows up in the time line but when I go to play it and see my changes in the "Canvas" window I get the "Dropped Frames" error. I read the help file on this problem here: [URL] I don't believe any of these things apply to me, and the options I could change did nothing to resolve the problem. I'm using a 13" MacBook Pro with the standard 2GB of RAM, 2.26GHz Core2Duo and Snow Leopard 10.6.2, 720P video at 30fps. The effect isn't even playing in the "Canvas" but I see it in the timeline. It's just not showing any effect at all. I could really use some help here... I was under the impression the 13" MacBook Pro can handle this kind of editing. Again I'm not doing anything major, just a video with some minor transitions.

Mac :: Safari 4 - Click And Hold Options In A System
As a longtime Mac user, I've always used (and preferred) the click-and-hold method of choosing menu items (it's where you point to a menu, hold the button, drag, then release on a menu item). It's faster and reduces the number of clicks in a day by nearly half. As some of you may remember, System 7 and earlier actually required click-and-hold, and distinguished it from the Windows-like click-then-click again method.

I restarted my iMac and removed the batteries from the mouse for a minute, but all that happened was that left and right clicks started acting like middle clicks. A wired mighty mouse works fine. I've tried cleaning it by turning it upside down and rubbing the ball on paper and a clean damp cloth, no change.
