OS X Leopard :: Keyboard Trackpad Frozen - How To Get Back In Normal
This morning when I switched on my computer, keyboard and trackpad seems to be frozen under OSX and they do not seem to work. I tried connecting a USB mouse but that didn't work either. Surprisingly, keyboard works when I startup and press option key to use bootcamp partition. Under windows (bootcamp), keyboard seems to work fine.

OS X Leopard :: How To Get ICal Icon Normal Appearance Back
The iCal icon on my Dock has lost all it's color except for the date, so basically it looks like a floating number. Once I select it and open iCal the icon goes back to its normal appearance, white background with red header. Although the clear/invisible icon does look cool, I would like to know how to change it back to the way it was. Information: MacBook Mac OS X (10.5.5)

OS X Leopard :: Revert Color-coded Messages In Sent Mailbox Back To Normal?
Strange thing, it just happened that all my mails in Sent mailbox turned green (as a result of application of incorrect rules – my address + a particular word – and instead of "any" criterion, I chose "all") and now all the mails stayed green even though I deleted the rule, tried to press "Apply Rules" button (and even after restart). Is there a way I can de-color them to be able to re-apply the desired rule? Information: PowerBook 1,25 17", iMac 24" Mac OS X (10.5.6)

MacBook Aluminum :: Glass TrackPad Sinking - Normal Or Harminig
so I've had the 13 inch aluminum macbook model since December of last year and have been enjoying it very much since. However something I have recently come to notice is that the the glass trackpad appears to be getting lower, especially towards the bottom section. The trackpad still functions fine it just seems to be sinking lower. After I noticed this I started using the tap clicking feature instead of constantly pushing down on it so hopefully it won't get any worse but I was just wondering if this is normal and if I continue will it end up harming the trackpad? OS X Leopard :: Trackpad / Keyboard And USB Ports Does Not Respond
I am running from windows now, that's sad enough. Anyway, I played something in my system files to enable dfu mode for iPhone so I can restore it, so I replaced some .kext files. What happened after my reboot was that my trackpad, keyboard and usb ports doesnt function or respond at all! I tried to connect usb keyboard, didnt work.Anyway I have some warning message pops up says: System extension cannot be used The system extension "/System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleUSBHub.kext" was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product's vendor for and update. Now what can I do? as nothing works here, how can I restore it? I did hardware reset by turning it off, Press CMD+Option+P+R all together. Kept them down and then put my MacBook power's on. I let it restart for 3 times. I let go the buttons. Nothing happened except the volume was increased and the screen brightened! Information: White MacBook 2.4 Ghz - 2 GB RAMs - 250 HDD - Old Keyboard Layout Mac OS X (10.5.5)

OS X Leopard :: Trackpad Tab Under Keyboard And Mouse Missing
I just re-installed OS X on my MBPro and I found myself missing the two finger right click on my trackpad. I went to System Preferences under "Keyboard & Mouse" and the "Trackpad" tab is missing. There is a "trackpad" pref on the main "System Preferences" screen, though. There is the "secondary click" option under trackpad, but no two finger right click. MacBook :: 2.4 Keyboard/Trackpad, - External Keyboard/Mouse Not Working
So my friend was using his MacBook and went to do something else. He came back and the screen was black, he hit space and nothing, tried the trackpad and nothing. He restarted by holding the Power button, and it go to the log-in screen, but he can't type anything, or use the trackpad. He has tired restarting several times and no luck. He also tried an external Keyboard/Mouse and that didn't work. He did plug in a Flash drive and the light turned on, so the USB ports are at least getting power, but nothing is working.

OS X V10.6 Snow Leopard :: Keyboard & Trackpad Preferences Keep Resetting
I've had my MacBook Pro for just over a year now and it's been awesome (it was my first Mac after being a PC user for 20 yrs). As soon as I got my Mac I modified the mouse & keyboard to act more like windows:modified the control key to work as commandenabled secondary (right) click on the track pad This worked fine for a long time, then all of a sudden in the last month or so these preferences keep being lost and I need to go back in and set them up again. Have I 'unlocked' some setting that allows these preferences to keep resetting? Or is my mac suffering from windows-like OS issues? Info: MacBook Pro (17-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.5)

OS X :: How To Restore Dock (Back To Normal)
I installed Cleardock [makes the dock transparent] and I tried getting rid of it by going into user/library/preferences and deleting com.apple.dock.plist. However now my dock is still clear but also reflective [see pic]. So then I tried to reinstall cleardock then uninstall it but that didn't work [I did a killall Dock to reset it]. I also read on a forum how to restore my dock to the default but that just gave me back the default application icons. So how can I get my dock back to normal! And if it helps I have time machine back ups from before my dock was like this.

OS X :: Keyboard Stopped Working / Restore Back To Earlier Version Of Keyboard Firmware?
Yesterday I had a Leopard software update which included new keyboard firmware. I did the update and the keyboard continued to function normally. This AM I booted my MacBook Pro and discovered the keyboard no longer responds to inputs. However, the MB does responds to an external USB keyboard. Now I don't know if I have a sudden hardware problem or the MB keyboard is not working as a result of the firmware update. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? Can I go back to the earlier revision of the keyboard firmware? Hmmm - while writing this I just realized I have a bootable image of my system made a few week back on an external drive - I'll have to try it.

Attached is a screen shot that shows what is running. NETserver is using almost 70%. Why? It usually takes a reboot to get the fans back to normal.

MacBook Pro :: Takes 10-20 Minutes To Turn Computer Back On - Is It Normal
is it normal to have to wait around 10-20 minutes for my computer to start up after the battery has been drained and it has gone into sleep to conserve memory. On those small number of occasions when I forget to plug in my computer and it goes to sleep...I normaly run and get the power cord and plug it in. Now, after I plug it in and everything my computer will not respond for atleast 10-20minutes where it will finnaly reawaken. I thought this was normal since the battery is drained; however, freinds with the same model computer say theirs will turn on right away after the plug it back in. Should I get this checked out? it is more of a nusance than anything. Information: Macbook Pro (Late 2008) Mac OS X (10.6.1)

Mac Pro :: Small Buzzing Sound Coming From Back - Is This Normal
I've noticed there's a buzzing sound coming from my brand new 2010 Mac Pro if I listen closely from the back. It sounds like an electrical buzz and even though it's only audible from the back of the machine, I'm a little concerned this might get worse and worse over time. I don't remember hearing the same buzzing on my 2005 Power Mac G5. I'm not 100%, but it might be coming from the power supply. Has anyone else experienced this? It's only audible when you listen closely from the back. If someone could go behind their Mac Pro and listen for a buzzing sound that would be great so I will know whether it's normal or not. Don't get me wrong. The buzzing sound is not annoying in any way as I cannot hear it from where I sit. I'm just concerned that it might lead to something worse or even damage my Mac Pro over time.
