I'm trying out the 09 demo and noticed you can't export it as a swf file. Does anyone know if there is a way to do that? I know it's on the 08 version.

Software :: Converting SWF To AVI (Flash 8 Pro File)
I am working on a project where I am to supply simple little cartoons which are to duplicate the look of drawings on a whiteboard - nothing fancy - line drawings in black, blue, red or green. My client, however, wants the files in AVI or WMV so his video guy can edit them and add corny video transitions. Ultimately they are intended for an intranet educational website.

But they do NOT want SWF files. They insist on getting AVI or WMV files. I am working with Flash 8 Pro (CS2) on my PowerMac G4 using Mac OS 10.3.9. I also have a PC running XP, but it doesn't have Flash. I've tried a free SWF > AVI converter which only works on Windows, but when it actually works, it takes a 12 KB SWF file and generates a 218 MB AVI file! Is there some easier solution?

Software :: Cannot Open Emails Or Download Flash Player On G4
Recently bought a G4, running OS 10.2.8 as a 2nd puter. Firstly, when I access my hotmail account I can log-in and see the e-mails but can't open them. I also get no response to delete and other options. I suspect this is because I'm running a very old version of safari. Secondly, I want to download Flash player. When I go to the download site I can't see or activate the 'download' button.

Applications :: SWF Files Grayed Out In Safari's File Menu?
This is weird, but apparently it does it in 4 and 5. I just never had cause to notice. I'm working in Flash on a PC, brought an swf to mac to try it in different browsers. It'll open ok in Firefox. But in the Safari open file menu it's grayed out - in spite of the fact that it loads these from websites all the time without issue. So I went into Get Info for the file and found that neither Safari or Firefox were listed under 'Recommended Apps'. It did list Quicktime, which insisted it was not a movie (it even has Flip 4 Mac and Perian). I finally got it to load by clicking 'Show ALL applications' and clicking open with Safari.

But why on Earth did I have to go thru all that? Does anyone know why mac doesn't recognize a simple swf file as openable on it's own hard drive?

OS X Leopard :: Arrow Keys Don't Work In Flash Player?
I am having a problem getting the arrow keys to work in my son's web sites running Adobe Flash Player. I have a 2007 iMac Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.4 GHz with OS X 10.5.8 with a Bluetooth wireless keyboard and mouse. I have installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player for OS X (at least 3 times). I have tried accessing the websites (Club Penguin, Nitrome) using 3 different browsers (Safari, Firefox, Opera). I have also tried using an old Dell USB keyboard, on the theory that the problem might be the wireless keyboard. I have also created a new account on the sites with same result. Whenever anyone tries to play the Flash Player games which rely on the keyboard arrow keys on my iMac, the arrow keys (and the space bar) do not respond at all.

OS X Leopard :: USB Flash On DVD Player / DVD Player Now Does Not See Any Files
I have a panasonic DVD(DMR-Ez28) player with USB Divx support. I tried a USB flash with divx files, which had been used on my Mac, and the player recognized it but said "no files". So I formatted the USB flash to FAT32 on my Mac and same issue. So I reformatted it on a PC, copied files to it on the PC, works great, see all the files and watched the divx , no issues. I then took the working flash, and mounted it on my mac, then copied over one file, the DVD player now does not see any files.

OS X Leopard :: Safari Won't Load XML File - Flash
I know this is in the wrong forum, so if someone can move it, The Safari section is down, error loading page. Here's my problem. Got a website that is full flash, and some flash that is used on a html based page. It's a counter, that counts down to a specific date. And these dates are stored in an xml file. Safari has for some reason massive trouble loading the XML file, and therefore undefines the fields all the time. Occasionally it works, but more often than not it just says 'Undefined'. It works perfectly in IE, and in FF. In Flash, the XML file is loaded, and its parsed correctly, the actionscript is spot on. So I can't figure the problem. It's happening on Multiple mac's, and occasionally on Safari for Windows. [URL]

OS X :: Won't Work With Flash Player / DashboardClient Internet Plug In
I have an i5 27" iMac and was curious why VMWare Fusion with Windows 7 was running so slowly. My iMac works at a snails pace when I try to run VMWare Fusion and anything else at the same time. I thought it might be a memory issue. I have 2 gb of RAM allocated to the virtual machine and 2 gb for Mac OSX. I was looking at the activity monitor and noticed that the Flash Player (DashboardClient Internet plug in) was taking up almost 600 mb of memory. What is the flash player that takes up so much RAM? Do I need to have it running? The other big program I am using that is taking up alot of RAM is PS3 media server which is taking up almost 500 mb of RAM.
