OS X Leopard :: Change Icon Label Text Color?

So, I wanted to change the Finder Window background color to black. But when I do so, the text for the labels of the icons become un-readable. See picture.

So I wanted to change the Label Text to white or some other lighter color. I'm surprised Mac OS X did not do it automatically. How do I change it?

Snow Leopard :: Change "search Text" Color In Apple Mail 4.4 , OS X 10.6.5?
Sometimes I get lengthy text emails and I want to search the individual email for a keyword.
The default color for "found" text is grey which make it tough for me to spot the text in a sea of text and white space.

Any way to change that color?

I've checked Mail prefs.
"fonts & colors" only lets you change colors for "quoted text" from forwarded or replied messages; eg "nested text"

IWeb 09 :: Color Change Cause Text To Flip To Right Alignment?
Working in iWeb, I have isolated what is essentially "causing" the problem. Inside a text box, I have a body of text that is left aligned. I changed it with the color menu to make it display slightly darker. It displays in iWeb correctly. However, when I publish a preview in Safari, it is suddenly right aligned. If I undo and change the color of the text back to the original, the way it was when I typed it in, it will publish properly.

It seems entirely arbitrary, and I have tried everything I can think of. The alignment in the inspector never changes to right align. It seems to be a glitch, and I have read several pages of these forums trying to see if it happens to anyone else, but couldn't find anything else. I am concerned moving forward that if I change text color it will switch alignment.

I did some googling and mroogling on this subject and I can't find anything relating to how it is currently. What I want to do is take my iCal icon and make it blue. What is the modern method for doing this, and does anyone have a better quality blue iCal image than the one I found on google which was 64x64 and lost all the detail.

Final Cut / DVD Studio :: Having Text Color Change When Button Is Selected
I have several buttons in my menu with text. When a user navigates to the button I want the text color to change so they know it's selected. According to the manual:

In the Menu Editor, choose Display Composite from the Settings pop-up menuThe Menu Editor displays both the background and the overlay based on the color mapping settings.
2 Use the Menu Editor's button state buttons to select the state (normal, selected, or
activated) to display.
3 With the button state set to either selected or activated, select Highlight Set 1, 2, or 3 in
the Style tab in the Button Inspector to select the color mapping configuration to apply
to the current button.

I followed these instructions but the text color does not change when a button is selected, so there's no way to tell which button is selected. I've left the defaults for each set: Normal (black), Selected (white) and Activated (yellow). I did change the color of the text in the menu.

OS X Leopard :: Samsung Clx-3175fw Working But Prints Black Text In Color?
I managed to get my clx-3175fw working including wlan, scan, printing etc...

however when I try to print a simple text page created in Pages or pdf having black text I noticed that all 4 toners are involved and that the counter for color(!) pages increments for all toners . I get slow printing speed and much more toner loss like this! I would like to have my b/w page to be printed with the black toner only. Since the printer doesn't react on PostScript or PCL the only way to talk to it is using the CLX-3170 Series driver which seems to be the newest at the moment.

Is this a setting in the application, in the printer driver, in the printer settings or even in OSX? How does a printer driver decide when to use color components to print black text.

PS: when using a black copy (standalone mode) I get correct increments on b/w pages counter.
