View 16 RepliesI'm fed up with all the good videos on a certain adult website disappearing after a couple of days. How can I download and save them to my MBP?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI may be using the incorrect terminology, but videos like u-tube, are very slow, to the point of just sitting there, frozen, while it "loads" for a minute or two, then runs for a couple of seconds, then stops to load again, sometimes for several minutes.
I have the small macbook, with SL, 2.4 GHz, 2 GB, 667 MHz. I know this is a standard problem, but there must be something I can do to make it better. I thought maybe the SL would help, but no.
I am doing a school project where I need videos. How do you rip videos off Youtube and have them in the format for imovie (free). Also does anyone know how to rip videos off the c-span website?
I want to save YouTube videos in my iTunes. I used to be able to do this selecting Command-Option-A while a YouTube video was playing. The problem now is that Safari saves the file as a webarchive file, which I am not exactly sure what that is. The webarchive file can be saved onto my MacBook but the file only opens back up in Safari.

I cannot save any videos I create on Final Cut Pro because the "Share > default file" function no longer works. My Mac was fine until this new Maverick OS update, now I have a new issue every single week.

Is anyone having a problem using Get Tube 4.51 with MAC OS X 10.5.8? The app freezes and you have to Force Quit to shut it down. Get Tube's website offers no solutions to this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been a happy user of GET TUBE on my MacBook Pro. Working just fine. But, not anymore. Any tip on a new application or how to fix the Get Tube?

View 17 Replies View RelatedI have become incredibly confused and frustrated as to why my MBP battery life has gone down the tube. I've had it around release date with minimal cycles. I've tried:
1. brightness reduction
2. turning off wifi/bluetooth
3. items that auto log when computer is turned on where removed (such as adobe updater)
On the Mac, what can be used to download the HD version of videos from YouTube? There are a couple I'd like to get and then save to my iOS devices.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having a very hard time downloading youtube videos.
I have an app that will take out the video and turn the audio into mp3 which works perfectly
but I do not have an app that will download the video to view it at a later time.
I used to use Jdownloader , but downloading stops with a message saying "Aborted" , and sometimes when it is downloaded , the video will be corrupted with a blackout.
I have this video on youtube and i would like to convert it on mp3. How can i do that?
View 4 Replies View RelatedBefore I ask my question I must state that I know very little about computers. Is there a way to download videos from Youtube that would be fairly simple?
I'm uploading videos i've shot with my camera, edited and uploaded to YouTube in HD. I do plan on making a backup with an external HD but don't have access to it till I go back home in a few months, so was wondering how can I download my own videos from YouTube, preferably in HD? Currently i've been using the programs "iSky Free Video Downloader" & "Tooble."
But I'm almost certain they don't download in HD.
Since I upgraded to Lion 10.7.3, the method I was using to download videos, from YouTube and other internet sites, no longer works. This method (with Snow Leopard) involved going to the Window menu, clicking on Activity, and finding the video file in a list, and double clicking it. Usually the video would still be downloading and would be a certain number of MB in a long list of files of various KB sizes. Now, there is no downloadable file listed (in Activity) for the video I'm watching. Is there a way to download the video without purchasing additional software?

I have a slow internet and it would be nice to have it on my computer so I can watch it whenever i want it. Here is the link, for other videos you have to pay so I am guessing they disabled any sort of ways that let people to download them but maybe there is a software that would let me download this videos. View 8 Replies View Relateda colleague of mine has an older MacBook with Mac OS X 10.4.11 and Safari 4.x. She can use the Activity window in Safari to download a YouTube video, but after the download is finished (20MB or 6MB or ...), the downloaded file is called "videoplayback", without the .flv suffix. Even if she appends the .flv suffix, she can't play them back in VLC or SWF + FLV Player.
It's no biggie, as she can use KeepVid, but I was just curious, why it is that way. Does anyone know?

Here is the real problem that we (MAC OS X) users are facing now.
1- The MACINTOSH HD, is already formatted with Mac OS Extended (Journaled). BUT, I installed bit torrent and whenever I want to download a torrent file for movie or something bigger than 4GB it refused as discussed above. WHY?? In my opinion, Mac OS Extended (Journaled) is also not supporting files larger than 4G?? if this is right .....Damn to MAC then.
2- I thought to myself, why don't I install windows XP by boot camp, and solve this problem??, but Boot camp request you to format the partition for windows with FAT32 so you can read the files when you are in MAC system, but this does not solve the problem as we still can not install files larger than 4GB. !!
3- Even if we format the external HDs with NTFS, MAC OS X will only read them and won't save on them or amend them, So we still can not install torrent files larger than 4GB. !! (Remember FAT 32 can not read NTFS, this means that the installed version of windows by Boot camp (FAT32) can not see the external HD which is formatted as NTFS, also MAC can only read it but NOT amending or saving.
4- What is the best solution regarding the information I have posted above. Please note I am using MacBook Pro 13" with Mac OS X.
Apple allowed us to install windows versions on Mac Computer but they did not solve the problems of the large files, especially files are getting bigger day by day, and also I can not understand why Mac OS Extended (Journaled) can not also read and write and save files larger than 4GB
I've got a private law practice for which I use an iCloud account. My message count now puts me close to the 10,000 mark and I'd like to substantially reduce the footprint of my inbox without actually deleting the older messages by saving them locally?Â
Does anyone know of a native-to-Mac-OS-X way to accomplish this? Or perhaps a trustworthy App?Â
