I'm looking around for digital photo frames that also show video files.
It gets real confusing real fast as to what kind of files different digital photo frames accept.
Kodak has a frame M1020 that runs mpeg4 video files. Does that mean that it would also work with an mp4 file or an m4v file?
When using MPEG Streamclip to convert a 4.47Gb DVD to MPEG4 & the finished MP4 file ends up at over 6gb!! Im using 100% quality , is that the reason? How do i control the size of the conversion ? Limit data rate to x Kbs - if so how do i work it out if the movie is 1hr.40mins? Does Streamclip convert a second for a second. if so i could calculate the size? Ok i now understand that i need to limit date rate and this calculates the end size..

The downloads came as mpeg4 files, which when I burned to a CD play only if they go through a computer with iTunes. I need to get the songs to play through the sound system of the church, which they requested as a CD format. How do I get my mpeg4 files to play on a regular CD player?

View 1 Replies View Relatedim new to the forums and i have both imovie 08 and imovie HD 6 i have an avi file which is a MPEG4 (H.264) in AVI wrapper i have perian and xvid installed i would like to use it in imovie 08 but if i need to ill use imovie HD 6, when i play it in quicktime and imovie HD 6 i get sound but no visual while imovie 08 doesnt even recognize it

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have home movies which seem to all be in mpeg2 format. I would like to open them in imovie to edit and burn new dvds. At an Apple store I was told I needed QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback to read the mpeg2 format. Under the FAQs for MPEG-2 Playback, it says to export to mpeg4 (?) I need to use QuickTime Pro.
My question is, do I need both QuickTime Pro and MPEG-2 Playback? I don't want to plunk down $50 unnecessarily. How do these work together to get my mpeg2 files into imovie? Is there an easier route to do this?
I am unable to open one MPEG4 File in my Macbook. what can be done or what software is to be downloaded to open it.
