MobileMe / Restore :: Certificates In Keychain / How To Revoke

Now, I can't seem to figure out how to get the "new" ones to come back.

From my research on the support site, I think I deleted the back to my mac certificates. If this is so, maybe I just need to revoke and redo those?

MobileMe / Restore :: Secure Certificates Expired - Cannot Create New
I just discovered that the secure certificate for my use of Back to My Mac expired several months ago. There was no warning from apple; you have to check in the Mobile Me account page under secure certificates. Go ahead; check if yours are okay. Well, it also says you create a new one by turning off Back to My Mac and then turning it back on. I tried that several times on both computers I have set up for that. It didn't work according to the certificate tab in the account page. I assume this means that Back to My Mac is insecure. How do I change that? It seems to me that this system is an invitation to criminal behavior; Apple should warn you if it's going to turn off security you think you have.

OS X Leopard :: Keychain - Certificates And Passwords Are Not Remembered
Every time my macbook comes back from sleep I have to enter in all the passwords for each application. iChat, Mail even my wireless network wep key. It doesn't remember any passwords. Also websites aren't displayed correctly. They have missing images and forms are unreadable. When I open up Safari's activity window there is a bunch of server certificates not valid problems. I can't use facebook, pandora player doesn't load because the server certificate is not valid, ebay, any site with a form is impossible to use. It happens in firefox and safari. My PC opens the pages perfectly. I think this all has to do with keychain. Any ideas?

Snow Leopard :: Valid Dates - Keychain Cache Old Certificates?
I have a smart key with a certificate (key?) and when I view the certificate on my Windows XP PC, the content says it is valid from 3/17/2010 to 3/18/2011, but when I view it in Keychain, the valid dates are 3/29/2009 to 3/30/2010. Does Keychain cache old certificates? I am wondering if those dates were on the smart key before I renewed the certificate. I am also sure I am probably not using the right terms (certificate, key, smart key, etc.).

MacBook Pro :: Keychain Access - Three Out Of Four Root Certificates Marked As Not Trusted
In Keychain Access, My "Certificates" and "Keys", three out of the four root certificates are marked as: This root certificate is not trusted (in red) com.apple.ubiquity.peer-uuid- times two and one: com.apple.ubiquity.ssl - then five groups of numbers for each. Is this something that should concern me or is it something to do with the problems I am having, Mail - some addresses I use are not sync and have a warning sign! Are these certificates needed to be trusted for mail configuration?

But the password is accepted and relevant info is shown (still can't sync as the problem is repeated). There was a problem saving to your keychain. Please try again or use Keychain Access to verify your keychain. Error: -25299. This mean anything to anyone? I see nothing amiss in Keychain Access though I admit I 'm not positive what I should be looking for.

MobileMe / Sync :: Keychain - "access To This Item Is Restricted"
I have synced my keychains between three computer during about two years, both with .mac and MobileMe, under Tiger, and also under Leopard after upgrading from Tiger. But now, no matter what I try, I cannot get it to work anymore. The problem occurs after I clean install of Leopard on a new disk in my PowerMac, as well as on a brand new intel iMac. I tried it with 10.5.5, and gave up. Now I tried again with 10.5.6, and it is still the same. The problem: any item that is synced from another computer becomes unaccessible. If I try
to read the password, a window pops up saying "access to this item is restricted". If I click on the tab "access control", the box "Allow all applications to access this item" is checked, and furthermore there is an additional line saying "Access to this item is NOT restricted". All other keychain items (the ones that work) have the box "Confirm before allowing access". So I tried checking that box, and clicked "save changes". Then I go back to "Attributes" and once again I am prompted to save my changes. I click save, get no warning, but when I go back to "access control" nothing was changed.

I have tried keychain repair, but without success. I have also reset all my MobileMe syncing a few months ago after a few catastrophic events with both Calendar and keychain syncing. The former is now working again. Is there anyone who is succesfully syncing keychains between two Macs, with at least one cleanly installed version of Leopard? Since it works on upgrade installations, there must exist a fix, right? For me at least, this problem is 100% reproducible on two distinct computers, one ppc and one intel, so it is hard to believe that it has not been fixed yet...............

OS X :: Using Keychain Access - Safari / Keychain Fill Passwords Automatically?
I've never used OSX before about a week ago, but I am picking up on it well (I've used GNU/Linux for almost ten years so I know my way around an operating system). But I don't really think keychain access is working as it should...It's hard to explain. I mean, the way I understand it, shouldn't it be saving the passwords I type into Safari and auto-filling them? Because it only auto-fills some passwords. Paypal autofills, but my bank's website doesn't, and even this forum doesn't autofill. I have to type in my password every time I visit.

Is this working as intended? Is there a way I can get Safari or Keychain to fill in all passwords for me automatically? This is leopard on an iMac G5 iSight model. I did a fresh install like a week ago. Sorry if my question is vague but that's the best I can do with the amount I understand.

MobileMe / Restore :: BTMM Not Working Inbound With TC 7.4.1
I have a fair bit of experience working with TCP/IP and IPSEC, however I'm not having much luck tracking this one down due to a lack of diagnostic information within the BTMM world. Basically, my home network involves a Time Capsule with the 7.4.1 update, attached to a cable modem (Rogers). The TC has a public IP address and is set to share it with the Internal LAN. Addresses are handed out to internal machines via DHCP of course in this configuration, and naturally NAT-PMP is turned on. There are three home computers running the latest version of Leopard. One of these is a very basic configuration with no third-party firewalls or other IP-related tools installed. From outside the home network, I can connect to the Time Capsule drive without any problems, however I cannot establish a file services or screen sharing connection to any of the internal machines.

I see all machines listed in finder and and they appear to be registered properly according to dns-sd. However, if I enable file sharing on the external machine (normally the client I want to connect from) and it has a public IP address, I have no problem establishing a connection outbound from one of the internal machines. Once that outbound connection is established, the tunnel works fine in both directions, and I can connect from the MacBook Air back into that particular host machine. Therefore, the problem seems to be with BTMM establishing the inbound connection through the Time Capsule. Connections TO the TC work fine since no NATting is obviously required to get to that box, but nothing behind it seems to work. A tcpdump shows the isakmp negotiation phase getting to partway through phase 2, receiving a single UDP encapsulated packet from the home network, and then giving up and starting over:

MobileMe / Restore :: Is There Any Way To Allow Just ONE Computer Access But Deny All Others
I have enabled Back To My Mac and I have changed my firewall settings on my Netgear D834DGv2 router so that the relevant ports are open so that I can connect remotely. It's all working well, I've tested the connection from various locations, so everything is OK regarding getting B2MM up and running.

My concerns are security-related. I came home today to find that another computer had attempted to connect through UDP 4500. I denied the connection and the request had probably timed out in any case. However, I am still a bit concerned about leaving my computer vulnerable when B2MM is enabled.

I have set up a screen saver password and that works well when I connect remotely via B2MM and I have set up a separate user account specifically for use with B2MM. This account had admin privileges but I'm wondering whether a standard user account would be better from a security point of view.

Obviously, I need to be able to connect with my MacBook remotely but what else can I do to prevent any unauthorized attempts? Is there any way to allow just ONE computer access but deny all others?
