MacBook Pro :: Why Not Magsafe Power Port Led Light Light Up

yesterday i inserted a dvd into my macbook pro to watch a movie but because my battery was running low on power my macbook pro turned off.

when i first inserted the magsafe adapter the led light lite up to orange but when i woke up this morning the led light wasn't lite.

i pressed the button on the side to check the battery status and one green light blinked multiple times and than disappeared.

i've tried to turn on my macbook pro using the power button but i'm assuming it won't turn on because the battery needs charging.

on my working computer i went to apple's troubleshooting for magsafe adapters but no luck...

this macbook pro is fairly new. i purchased it on january 20th, 2010.

MacBook :: Cannot Power On - Magsafe Light Remains Green
I've been asked to take a look at a friends white macbook that won't power on. I've tried resetting the smc etc., with no joy. The battery charge indicator shows 1 fully lit green light and the magsafe connector also is green. Pressing the power button doesn't do anything, no lights, beeps etc. I've tried another power adapter and the magsafe light remains green when connected but the battery still shows 1 green led. Considering the macbook thinks its charged but the battery isn't, is this a dead logic board? Or something else? This macbook is well out of warranty.

MacBook Pro :: Magsafe Light Staying On After Its Unplugged
My Magsafe charger started acting really odd today. It started with the light not working when I was charging the computer. Even tough the light didn't come on the computer still said it was charging. I unplugged it for a bit & plunged it back in. This time the light came on & it was green even though it wasn't fully charged. But now when i unplug it, the light stays on as long as its plugged into the wall. The only thing I've changed lately is I replaced the hard drive, but its been about a week and this just started happening tonight.

MacBook Pro :: Magsafe Adapter Light Not Working
I had my original MBP charger replaced a while ago because the magsafe adapter light was not working. (but it charged the computer fine, weirdly enough) Then, about a month ago, the light on that one went out too. The apple store replaced it with one of the new MBA chargers style. That one worked for about a day, and now intermittently goes off. What is wrong here?

MacBook Pro :: Faint Green Light Shown On MagSafe And No Charging
I have a 6 month old MBP 13" and on Friday it stopped charging and a faint green light showed on the magsafe. I took it into the apple store today and the genius 'fixed' it by unplugging and plugging in the battery and internal magsafe connectors. I just got home and it worked fine, but when I took the magsafe out and put it back in, the same problem has arisen. What should I do?

MacBook Pro :: Magsafe Charger Light Dim Green/wont Charge Sometimes?
So I have a Late 2009 Macbook Pro, it came with the original magsafe adapter. The adapter doesn't always work all the time, sometimes theres a really dim green light.

One of the prongs that go into the wall is slightly bent so it might be because of that.

My question is will Apple replace this charger for me? Do they give the new magsafe adapters as replacements or will they give me an old one?

MacBook Pro :: No LED Light On Charger, And It's Not Charging As Well
All the time the charger for my 2011 Macbook Pro has worked perfectly fine, but suddenly today, this morning, it stoppet working.

I tried to unplug it, and plug it back in, but there's no LED light on the charger, and the battery information at the top-right corner of my computer says "Not charging".

When I look closely, I can see a very dim green light, but you can barely see it.

The computer itself registers that the charger is connected, by increasing the brightness a bit, but no charging. I already tried the SMC restore thing

MacBook Pro :: It Won't Charge - MagSafe Blinking Green Light Inconsistently
A few hours ago my MBP (15" from January 2011) had almost no battery, so I plugged in the charger - but nothing happened. No green or orange light - or indicator on finder. I went to System Information which confirmed that it had 0% battery left and it wasn't charging, even with the MagSafe correctly plugged in.

I checked the wall connector and it's functioning well on other devices. The battery eventually died and now my macbook won't turn on. The light on the adapter and on the side of the notebook flashes green inconsistently. It won't turn on since it has no battery. I've tried reseting the SMC but nothing happend.

I just installed a new I/O (left) board for my MBP. I still have the cover open and when I plugged in the power-cord, the LED Light blinks (but very faintly where it's almost solid and you just see very light blinking) and I also hear a ticking sound). I only listened and looked at it for a few seconds and then I unplugged it because I don't think it's normal. I did this a few times to see if it would stop but it hasn't. I never tried to press the power button yet. I'm positive everything is connected the right way....

MacBook Pro :: Charger Stops Working - Dim Green LED Light
So yesterday, all of a sudden my charger stops working with my MBP 17" (14 months old, with in built battery). Surprisingly, my spare charger also doesn't work. At this point I notice that there is a faint green led on the charger, much less dim than the normal green led. And when I attempted to use a third charger which is for the new MacBook, it actually works very very slowly but t does charge! In the last 12 or so hours I have gained around 10%. light is still faint green. Never happened to me in 6 years of being on MacBooks. What's happening here? I'm in india so service from apple takes incredibly long.

MacBook :: Light On The Magsafe Doesn't Appear?
I've just plugged my laptop in here at work, the light on the magsafe doesn't appear. at the top it says its running on power adapter.

Last night however i did notice that the light on the magsafe was a light green color, not the normal green/orange it usually is.

Any idea?, its a AluMB from Oct 2008. Could it be my battery or just the charger?. I do have Apple care.

MacBook Aluminum :: MagSafe Light Sometime Dim Green - Why
I have one of the new 2.4 macbooks. The megsafe light sometimes appears to be very dim to the point you can hardly tell the light is on. The problem is easily fixed with taking it out and slipping it back in. However I read a few articles on google and people who have this problem in the past have had to get their actual macs replaced as there is a problem with the board. What does a dim green light on the mega safe charger mean?

MacBook :: No Charge At All - Magsafe Light Barely Lit Green
It started last night when my adapter freyed, melted and became useless (a common problem with the MagSafe). I called to bitch to Apple, but they just wanted to make sure nobody died and no houses burned down and then told me to go buy a new adapter. I did that today, but now my computer wont hold a charge and is stuck at 0% and shows the charged icon over the battery. The weird thing is that the light on the MagSafe head is an extremely dim green. You need to turn the lights off to really see that it is lit, but very weakly.

So, I went back to the Apple store and tried the charger on a different computer and it worked fine. And we tried a completely different charger on my macbook and the same dimly lit light thing happened. So i dont think its the charger. Then we put my battery in a different macbook and it took a charge. So i dont think its the battery. Any ideas??? Is it a coincidence my 18 month old hassle-free (until now) macbook has had two problems in the last 24 hrs? It isn't under warranty.

MacBook Aluminum :: Battery - Dim Light On Magsafe - (alu) Late 2008
I have a problem with the magsafe charger and thus the battery loading. very dim light on the magsafe, battery indicator says 10 hr. loading time, although system info indicates no charger detected. I can work on it all day with magsafe connected. It's at the shop now where they tried another charger wich gave same results, so it's not the charger! I tried all suggested actions from apple site and discussion forum.. but nono nothing!! Macbook is 1,5 month old.....I bought it in Dallas, USA (I'm from Netherlands)..... must say I did not expect this from apple ....I am a virgin with apple so I hope this is not indicative for it's hardware.....I will let you know what happens.

MacBook Air :: Unable To Boot System / Magsafe Charge Light Is Green
Sooooo I just got my brand shiny new CTO 4GB 13.3 MBA this morning at about 9:45 am yesterday in Illinois. I was sposed to go to bed because I am working nights at the moment but i stayed up for hours setting it up and playing with it (my first MAC) and so I finally get home after working a 12 hour night shift and open up my new MBA expecting instant on and....nothing. The damn thing will not turn on and I tried all the tricks of the trade (suggested by apple support page) and nothing. It was fully charged when I left it in the morning. Also, my magsafe charge light is green which means it is still fully charged right??? Man what a super disappointment. My first MAC and it freaking dies immediately. My Win 7 desktop at least started...good ole faithful (granted it took about 55 seconds...pff)

I'm so sad!

MacBook Aluminum :: Didn't Charge And LED Light Is Off
My model is 2008 late 2.4GHz macbook and suddenly the magsafe LED light is off and can't charge the macbook. I took it to apple store, and after check they said this laptop needed to go further detection, which will cost at least $280 since i'm just out of my one-year warranty.

I found a similar problem post below without any clear resolution, and after reading it I found lots of these models had the similar problem, so i believe it is definitely the common problem for the 2008 late aluminum macbook series and the logic board might be broken. Does anybody else here have the same problem? We should unite and ask Apple to replace these defected laptop for us for free!
