MacBook Pro :: Suitable 12volt Car Charger?

I am looking for a suitable 12volt/car charger, so i can charge my brand new MacBook Pro directly from our caravan batteries via a car/12 volt socket. I dont want to use a inverter, as it draws unnecessary power from the vans batteries. I am being cautious as I don't want to use a product that is not 100% compatible here in Australia and might void the warranty in any way.I can not find anything suitable manufactured by Apple but I have found many 3rd party alternatives, ranging from approx $50 up to a couple of hundred. Has anyone had any experience with any of these products.

MacBook Pro :: Car Charger And Preventing Battery To Charge Full
I have been using IBM/Lenovo ThinkPads in the past many years. In recent models, the Power Manager has a feature to extend battery life why charging only when the battery is below a set threshold and stop charging when it reaches certain threshold. This way, battery is not always charged to 100%, as we all know the last 20% is always taking so long and lithium-based battery worn out faster if always charged at full capacity. there a way to stop battery charge when it reaches - say 80% and to start charging only when below 50% or something?

MacBook Pro :: Charger Broke, Battery Died, New Charger, Now Won't Charge?
the charger for my MBP broke and my laptop eventually ran out of juice. I went and bought a new charger tonight and I plugged it in. The LED in the MagSafe port isn't fully illuminated (very dim), but green, however blinks yellow/amber (also very dim). What does this mean? I've had it plugged in now for about 30 minutes and I still can't turn it on. I cleaned my MagSafe connector on my MBP but that did nothing.

MacBook Pro :: Car / Airline Power Inverter?
Searched the forum, some useful information. Found the following : On amazon Hypershop's car charger I'd like some flexibility, so the Hypershop one is out of the question (being able to charge my android phone separately from laptop, my backup pc laptop, etc). So my question is, what inverter are you using? I found some on best buy (Cyberpower), but there's no wattage listed in their specs.

MacBook Pro :: 13" Suitable For Graphic Design?
I'm a graphic designer looking for a new home office computer. MacBook Pro :: Which PRAM Battery Suitable For G4 PB (A1106)
I think my PRAM battery is dead (date resets to January 1st 1970 when started up with main battery removed) but I can't find a replacement PRAM anywhere (I'm in the UK). According to iFixit the part number is 820-1686-A - is this the only PRAM module that will work in my machine? (I've seen lots of other similar looking parts on eBay, but with different part numbers). Also, is it not possible to actually just replace the battery, not the whole circuitboard? It looks like a regular watch battery I could pick up for $5 from the pic.

MacBook :: Finding Bluetooth Car Stereo?
Im sorry if this is a repeated thread, ive searched the internet without finding a clear answer.

I am trying to play music from itunes on my macbook (aluminium model) through my BT head unit in my car.

The way I understand it is that both the macbook and head unit have to be a2dp compatible? which the macbook didnt include as part of the Leopard build.

Im pretty certain the head unit is compatible as i can play music from my blackberry both from the music player and through the internet (youtube streaming).

I have the Pioneer deh-6100bt.

The head unit can 'see' the macbook but when I press connect, all I get is error.

The macbook does not find the head unit at the moment.

Is there something I can download for the macbook to make it work, is there something in the settings that will fix it?

Final Cut / Soundtrack Pro :: Removing Car Noise From The Background Of An Interview?
I recently shot a series of interviews where there is a lot of car sounds in the background. It's not a constant city traffic noise, but rather a single cars and trucks speeding by. Of course when we scouted the location there was no traffic at all but the day of the shoot there was a nearby event and we had no choice but to do the interviews. Is there any way to separate out to remove that kind of noise and leave the interview intact?

If I install right above my 4870 then the GT120 would be right on top of the 4870 and doesn't seem like there would be much air flow getting above the card. Or does it not even matter which slot I install the GT120?

MacBook Air :: 11 / 13 Inch - Which One Is Suitable To Watch MKV Movies?
Basically I can't decided between the 11 inch or 13 inch Air and thats due to the fact of not having any idea if the 11 inch will be capable of handling the tasks that I need. I have a ton of 1080p/720p mkv movies that I always watch on my current early 2006 macbook, that's a must do for my upgrade to an Air. The second part of what I will be doing is having a dump site for my pictures.

I have a T1i and take a ton of photo's nothing professional or anything, but as a poorly touched hobby. I have been considering using iphoto/Aperture since its only 79.99 in the new app store. I am just slightly concerned if the little 11inch can handle simple aperture photo edits, to fix crappily taken photos. The ability to play my movies is the most important issue, the whole picture thing can be sorted out on the Quad core Pc in the office.

Final Cut Pro :: AVCHD - Suitable Versions Of ProRes Codecs
I'm still in doubt between the Panasonic HMC151 and the JVC GY-HM100. Hoped FCP7 would offer native AVCHD editing and tip the scale towards the Panasonic. Anybody knows how this works? The Apple site claims FCP7 can work with AVCHD. But is it native or does it still need conversion into ProRes? If so, does it still balloon the files? And which version of all the old and new ProRes codecs is best suited for AVCHD?

Final Cut Pro :: Converting HDV - Suitable Code For Export
I just cut a music video, HDV 1080i 29.97 fps. The first application for it is the web. I'd like to output it as 29.97 fps 'progressive' with the highest quality possible. I believe Compressor is the way to go ... but I'm not quite sure what the best settings should be, and what final codec should I export to. I'm actually going to use DV Kitchen to do all the web versions, once I have a master. But I have the sneaking suspicion (I've inquired on their forum, waiting for a response) that DV Kitchen doesn't yet handle ProRes ... thus my question about what codec I might export to.
