My University program has recently adopted using Google+ Hangout for communication and we are told to use Google Chrome as our browser during these sessions.Â
However, my iSight Camera (2009 13' MBP) will not work when using Google Chrome. The camera works fine with all other browsers, applications, etc. (Skype, Safari, Firefox, etc.).Â

I have a white macbook (the gen. before the unibody), everything works fine except that sometimes the isight camera turn on by itself. This sometimes happens immediately at the start up and other times when the system is already loaded. The result is the same, the isight camera doesn't work and when i try to use it i get simply a black screen. For to make it works again i need to shutdown the mac and sometimes even to remove the battery. I don't think it can be a Trojan or some virus since i switched to Snow few weeks ago doing a full installation from zero and this trouble still occur even with the new system?

Sometimes I use iMovie and my iSight camera for lengthy recordings (6+ minutes). But I need a little more flexibility with camera angles. Is there a camera available that works though Bluetooth, USB, wifi, etc that basically becomes a detached iSight? Or do I need to buy a hand held video camera?

I just opened my isight camera and for some reason, it's displaying the current picture as a having a blue tint. I updated my software, but it didnt change anything. It's not just photobooth that makes the picture look this way either. When using other programs with the iSight camera, it is still displayed with a blue tint.

I recently bought a 13" MacBook Pro and I've been using Safari as my default browser. Before I got my Macbook and used a Windows 7 laptop, Google Chrome was my default browser. It works for many minutes, and then I pause the call. As soon as I pause it, I get a message saying something like "no video camera detected, make sure it's plugged in", and from then on my system acts as if there were no iSight installed even if I un-pause the call.If I then go to any other application that makes use of iSight, like Photo Booth for example, it says that there is no camera installed on the system, with a crossed-out camera icon and a black screen in place of the video.

For instance, the front page o [URL] triggers the nvidia graphics to come one. When i navigate to these forums, it switches back to intel. When I log into gmail, its fine, until gmail signs me into gchat(i disables video chatting b/c i know that was a known issue with turning on the nvidia card)
