MacBook Pro :: Is It Good To Register Or Not
Ok, i am not well versed with computers and I am a old timer, meaning I dont like giving out personal information over the internet. I assume Apple is safe, but nevertheless I dont want to register a Macbook if i buy one. I say if becasue i am not going to buy one if i have to register it for reasons i already stated. So my question is do i have to register a Macbook if I buy one? I know its a stupid question, but i want to be sure before i spend money on one.

MacBook Pro :: Using Spacebar - Unable To Register
The problem is that when pressing down on the ends of the spacebar (near the cmd key) it does not register that the spacebar has been pressed, thus no space appears in the text. The extent of this "dead" area ends half way along the C (on the left) and M (right).

Is this a sign of a defective keyboard, or just the design of the keyboard?

MacBook Pro :: Trackpad Periodically Not Register Movement
Every once in a while, probably once a day, my trackpad will stop registering movement for 5ish seconds. It can still click just fine, but it won't move. Usually it will start reading again for a second, then freeze up for another few, and on like that for half a minute until it goes back to normal.

MacBook Pro :: Finger Swipes Gesture Not Register In Safari
I bought a 13" MacBook Pro about 2 months ago and its been a mostly trouble free experience. But one thing keeps bothering me. Sometimes when I try to navigate in safari I find that the three finger swipe gesture used to navigate back does not seem to register. I then try to use expose with the four finger swipe and that doesn't work either. I can still use two fingers to scroll so the problem is only with the 3 & 4 finger swipes. I can fix the problem by rebooting the Mac but this is annoying when I don't notice the problem immediately and have started working. So I was wondering does anyone know why is happening and if there is a way to restore functionality of the trackpad without restarting the computer(like a console command)?

MacBook Pro :: Trackpad Sometimes Doesn't Register Clicks?
I've had (and loved) my late 2008 MacBook Pro for almost a year and a half now, but my trackpad seems to be less responsive than it did before, especially compared to a friend's brand new MBP. Compared to new computers, I seem to have to press really, really hard to register a click. Is there a way to adjust the responsiveness on a hardware level, or should I take it to the Genius Bar (it's still under AppleCare)?

MacBook Pro :: Trackpad Register Button Press Automatically
After normal use, my MacBook Pro trackpad will behave erratic by register a button press, even though no press is given. So for example, if I move my finger on the trackpad to move the mouse, the OS will register I am pressing the button while moving the mouse. I can not move the mouse with it registering as a press/move combo. Pluggin in an external USB mouse or rebooting seemed to fix the trackpad mouse.

MacBook Pro :: Trackpad Not Register Every Click / Delete Key Broken
I've had my 13" unibody Macbook Pro for a few months now and I've loved it, until now. The delete key on my keyboard has almost completely broken. It doesn't pop like the other keys. It's muddy and now unresponsive, working only 1 out of 3 hits. Additionally, my track pad doesn't register every click now. It works at about the same rate, 1 out of 3 or so. Should I take it in to an Apple Store? The nearest one to me is about an hour and a half away.

MacBook Pro :: Spill Sticky Drink On Trackpad - Not Register Movements
I've just, rather stupidly, spill a sticky drink on my mid-2009 macbook pro. I've managed to dry some of it off and wipe it down but it is still sticky. Nothing went on the keyboard thankfully, but it all went on the trackpad. Now my trackpad feels all sticky and won't register any movement of my fingers. When it does, it only moves a couple of millimeters on the screen and stops again Also, wherever I click, it only registers the right click. Luckily I managed to attach a bluetooth mouse and use that to switch it off. Also, the mouse seemed to jitter and wander when I am not touching to trackpad. Another thing I noticed is that the performance dropped rapidly when I spill the drink.

MacBook Pro :: (Early 2008) Unresponsive Trackpad Button Not Register Click
I've noticed that when I try clicking on the trackpad's button, most of the time it will register the press and other times it doesn't. The button, physically, doesn't feel any different whether it registers the click or not. The button "clicks" down like normal and doesn't feel loose. Also, when I click and hold on the button and try to move my finger around the trackpad to highlight text or drag a folder, most of the time, the computer acts like I let go of the button and pressed it down again multiple times. While it does this, my finger remains on the trackpad button without being lifted. I recently upgraded my Mac to Snow Leopard but the problem occurred even with Leopard installed. I'm unsure as to whether or not this is a software or hardware issue. Could it be that there's something lodged under the trackpad button to cause this? If so, how would I be able to check under the button?

Logic Studio / Pro :: Hi-Hat Edge Trigger On Roland TD-4 Doesn't Register In MIDI
Does Logic have a MIDI note that corresponds to a hi-hat edge sensor on a drum kit? It gets received as D0 in GarageBand (and most likely Logic as well), but doesn't play anything back. Most of my hi-hat playing is on the edge of the pad, and so I can't hear my 8th notes at all.

I just registered iLife 09 on the Apple site, however, what is the point? Surely someone could just look on the box and find the part number which obviously isn't unique and register it that way?

IChat AV 3 :: Use To Register New Jabber Account
I work in an office with all Macs and we'd like to begin using iChat for intra-office messaging. Many of us already have AIM accounts, but we'd like to keep internal office communication strictly internal. We have a computer running Parallels Server and I've downloaded some different Jabber virtual appliances. The difficulty is that when I try to connect from iChat I'm continually prompted for a password. Now, I've read that Jabber needs an account to be "registered" and several messaging clients (Psi, Adium, etc) support that registration process. What I'd like to know is either:

a) How can one use iChat to perform the Jabber account registration process?
b) Is there another suggested piece of software that could be used by an administrator or one individual that could complete that process so that clients could use iChat?
