I had my photo taken during the setup which came out a little fuzzy. Have been trying to replace it now that I am using it but could'nt find the way to do it. Have already installed album photos where I can select one to replace this. This photo appears during sign in to the notebook. Also, since I have a 4 peripherals to use and there are only two USB ports, can I attach a hub to have all four attached. They consist of 1 Wireless mouse, 1 printer and 2 external HD.
I am having trouble with my FaceTime on my Mac. Awhile back, I changed my Apple ID's email address and deleted my old one, and now FaceTime won't give me the option to sign in with my new address.
I'm using the calculator and it uses a comma to separate thousands instead of a point. We use a comma for the decimals, a point for the thousands. The systemreferences says to use a point as thousand-separator, so that's correct.Yet, when I type 23456,57 the result is 23,456,57 while it should be 23.456,57.
Is there an aftermarket software that can help me change the resolution of the photo that I have taken? I have taken pictures with high resolution, but I won't be able to send them out using email. I need to find a third party software or to lower the resolution of the photo.
A friend of mine recently bought a new iMac and unfortunately turned it on for the first time and wasn't ready for that initial picture it takes of you. That picture it took is now attached to all her emails and she ain't happy
How can this picture either be retaken turned off or changed??
I have a prime iCloud account that I use to maintain a single address book and calendar. That way my wife and myself can both keep our address book and calendar the same and current. The iCloud account is in my name using my Apple ID and my wife's Mac is logged in to this account. Both of our Macs have a photo asssociated with our log on IDs. As long as my wife's Mac is logged in to iCloud (the desired situation) the log on photo that appears on her Mac is my photo not hers. I can succcessfulyl change it back to hers using the "Users and Groups" from the "Systems Preferences", but in no time at all it gets changed to my photo. I have isloated the problem to iCloud by having her Mac not logged in to my iCloud account and her photo remains unchanged, as I would expect.
On her Mac, I have reset the PRAM and executed a safe boot in an attempt to flush any strange data. I have not tried deleting any preferences files as I am not sure which ones to try.

When I access the photo browser in Mail to add a photo to an email, the image names that the browser displays are the file names for each image.I would like it to display the caption that I have applied to each image. Aperture is my photo program. Is there any way to change the name that photo browser displays? Alternatively, is it possible to change the file names for the images to match the captions?
How do I change where photos are saved from photo stream? Right now when they are just in iphoto I cant access them when i go to upload a photo to email/blog/fb. I want them to be more easily accessible for upload automatically, like go into a folder rather than the iphoto app in the Pictures folder.
When I started my Macbook up, after the gray screen with the apple sign, a stop sign appeared on the screen and I couldnt use my laptop as normal. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?
I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 on my iMac. I also have iPhoto as it came with the iMac when I bought it. I don't really want to use iPhoto at all. I want to use PSE. How do I set my computer to open PSE when I insert my memory card or when I plug in my iPhone or for any other thing that uses photos? Can I just completely uninstall iPhoto?
I was having problems before the battery sign desided to display an 'X'earlier in the day the system was not regestering the trackpad's 'click'I spoke to an apple support guy and it was sorted in about a half after a few tries of some restarting and command holding about a couple of hours later the same 'click' problem thought it'd bloody come back! and so i tried to repeat the restarting and command holding to see if i could get my book going by myself...but then the moment i restarted the book the fan sound (a sound i had never heard my macbook make before) was there, loud, and i knew somthing was not right.
For some reason when using my apple tv and photostream there are a few photo's appearing on my tv that I do not want to be included in photostream. I have checked the iphoto - photostream folder and the photo's are not even in there. I have also reset my apple tv and still they are appearing. what can i do?
I have a 2009 MacBook Pro that keeps telling me that I can't sign into iCloud at this time. I know my email and password are correct, and I have OS X Lion 10.7.4. It worked to put iCloud on my iPhone and iPad.

I decided to test out the IMessage app on my laptop, but when i try to sign into it using my Apple I.D it says that “Your Apple I.D XXX can’t be used to set up an account right now” and then tells me to contact iMessage Support, I can’t call Apple Care because my warranty is up and i’ve tried everything i can think of. It’s the correct I.D and password. When the message pops up and i click contact support - it sends me to a page with a verification code and says they dont have enough info to set up an account.
So I keep getting a prohibited sign when I boot up my MacBook pro running Snow
I read it was because a file was corrupted and I need to reinstall Snow Leopard
Well, I inster my Snow Leopard start disk, and hold down C when I hear the chime I hold it down, I hear the disk in the drive boot up, spin fast, Apple has the progress wheel under it but nothing happens.
So, when I start up my Macbook mid-2010, I log in first, and after 30 seconds the stop sign comes up. I am able to log in as a guest user.
When I load up the install disc of Snow Leopard and choose for Disk Utility, I can see the disk, but it sais it is not mounted? When I click on 'mount', it doesn't respond. see the following screenshot for more info:
I'm currently running OSX 10.7.32.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 I currently had some other problems with my mac, see this thread: [URL] Also it might be interesting that I had bootcamped my Mac, but since a couple of days I deleted the partition using the bootcamp utility.
Since I installed Lion I can't sign in to Facetime and now to Messages. I have tried to reset my password and still it doesn't respond. I have the white Macbook.
When I turn on my MacBook pro I get a pop up saying that I need to restart my computer and turn it back on and every time I turn it back on it says the same thing
I just bought a new rMBP and when I try to sign in to FaceTime this error message appears "The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later." and in iMessage "Could not sign in to iMessage. An error occurred during activation. Try again". I am currently using Mavericks 10.9.3
