I have a problem with my new macbook pro. I bought it just one week ago and started to use it yesterday. The "cancel" function does not go. It does not erase. Why???is it possible it is broken??

When I activate Time Machine everything works fine. Last night I noticed that the "Restore" and "Cancel" buttons on the right and left sides of the screen aren't there. I can click where they should be and it either restores or cancels; I just can't see them. What happened?

I'm using a Magic Mouse with my MBA because I much prefer a mouse pointer to the touch pad. However, I'm having problem with it that is driving me crazy. Every once in a while, my fingers do something that activates ZOOM in. What I'm doing to cause this is beyond me. What annoys me to no end is that I can't figure out how to cancel the zoom in other than to close the webpage I'm on and then reload it.
What is causing the zoom to activate?
Is there a simple method to cancel zoom other than reloading the webpage?

I was trying to download Dr. Web, the virus scanning software but it hung up and is just sitting there, 3/4 of the way downloaded. How do I cancel the download? In the current FCP-X, I see in the Background Tasks window how to CANCEL a sharing operation (in this case exporting out to a Master File), but can't figure out how to simply PAUSE it, so I can begin another Master File export from a different Project, one that's suddenly become much more Time-Urgent and needs to happen ASAP. I'd prefer not to lose the 2-3 hours of heavy pixel-lifting FinalCut's already put in to the first export, but it looks like that's what I'll now have to do in order to start this new more important one, and make sure it gets full priority in terms of system resources -- unless find any way to put one Share task on hold while a new one gets all the attention until it's done.Â

When I turn my Mac on it goes through the boot up process and as it about to come to the desktop image it selects the HD Mac as if I had pressed it with the mouse and then starts the cancel sound bonging away until I press the escape button on the keyboard.This normally keeps it at bay. Although on occasion it suddenly selects it again and starts playing the cancel sound again. When I unplug the keyboard it doesn't make that sound at all. I hate the wireless keyboard but wonder if I buy another wired one will it start making the same noise again?
