Weird question. If you have your applications folder in the bottom bar. When you click on it to select a app, does I lag at all?
I've been having nothing but problems with this thing it seems . Does not seem as fast as I expe ted it to be.
I am new to this site, and I'm not very computer savvy as this is my first mac. Today I noticed a folder/icon at the bottom of my desktop that had the "@" symbol on it, and the letters "http" below it. My concern is, I don't know how it got there. When I clicked it, it went to a band website I go to. I guess I'm concerned with security and want to know if this is anything I should worry about being as I've never seen that little icon before. ty.

I know how to change the font, size & color but is there a way to move the titles to different parts of the screen? For instance, I want to use the "lense flare effect on a title but I want the title at the bottom of the screen, is this possible?

The part that tells you how many albums you have, the total playing time, and size. Currently, this is displayed with the European system of using commas instead of points as the decimal separators. I may be crazy, but I'm pretty sure it used to have points and then a few days ago, it switched on me. I noticed it after I installed an update. Is there a way of changing it back?

When I do, it makes a copy and leave the original in the applications folder. When I then try to delete the icon in the applications folder it tells me it's required by the OS and won't let me delete. I'm forced to keep certan applications such as Time Machine and Stickies in the application folder.

This will be similar to the default applications folder that shows in the dock, but without all the extra files & folders - just a list of applications.Â
I can do this by esily by just having a smart folder of applications showing only type=application.
However, I would still like to have utilities in a sub-folder.Â
If thats not possible, then it would be OK to have 2 seperate smart folders, 1 for apps excluding utilities & 1 for utilities only.Â
Is there some way in the smart folder options i can exclude a sub directory?
When I restart Mavericks, the dock returns to the bottom of the screen and loses the application icons I've previously posted into the dock.

I have installed UnrarX a couple of times with no errors in the installation process, however the application does not appear in the applications folder or any where else and cannot find it to open .rar files.Â
I fixed the issue by simply copying the UnrarX app from my MacBookPro but would like to find out what is going on. I have been told by my friend that she has had this issue before.

Now, I like to keep my Documents folder neatly organized and this My Kindle Content folder kind of messes things up a bit - I really don't like seeing this folder in my Documents folder. question: Does anyone know how to move this folder to another location? I've tried to browse the Kindle app, but I haven't found any obvious way to move it. However, I may have overlooked it. Also, I have tried to browse the Forums to see if someone else asked this question already - no luck yet. Has anyone out there had the same problem?
