MacBook Pro :: Battery Indicator Says Not Charging - Green Light Is On

My battery indicator says "not charging" when I am using the mag safe and the green light is on. When off the mag safe the battery is running down and I am currently at 18%.

MacBook Pro :: Plugged In But Not Charging - Green Light On Indicator
My MBP is a couple of months old, I noticed that at times, the "not charging" message was being displayed even though the light was green on the charge indicator. A quick unplug and replug immediately makes it charge again. But, at one point, I must not have noticed it was in "not charging" state and unplugged my unit and the warning message popped up saying battery power was about out. Well, I have noticed more and more the issue where the "not charging" is showing (again, even with light green). I called Applecare and they replaced the Magsafe part which arrived today. I also did an SMC reset. All though, not sure why you would have to do anything on a relatively new machine. Will see if the new magsafe and SMC reset helps my situation.

I have a early 2008 Macbook Pro. The battery got fully discharged today and now it won't charge at all past 5%. The computer shuts down if I unplug the power adapter. I have tried resettling the battery, restarting, SMC reset and different power outlets. When I first started charging it it said it was charging bu the time remaining was 20:00. A few days ago I got an alert that the battery needed servicing but it seemed to be holding a charge fine and I just got it new last September.

MacBook Pro :: Faint Green Light Shown On MagSafe And No Charging
I have a 6 month old MBP 13" and on Friday it stopped charging and a faint green light showed on the magsafe. I took it into the apple store today and the genius 'fixed' it by unplugging and plugging in the battery and internal magsafe connectors. I just got home and it worked fine, but when I took the magsafe out and put it back in, the same problem has arisen. What should I do?

I already tried switching the ram for a dead or faulty ram but still nothing. Also the power adapter doesn't seem to want to work. When I plug it to the macbook, I can hear small sparks each time, looking at it, there are some black marks on both the charger and the mac. [URL]s

MacBook Pro :: Green Battery Charge Indicator Lights - Holes To Small?
I thought my green battery indicator lights (on the left side near the ports) were very faint, but I didn't think too much about it until I got my replacement MBP today. The lights on the new one are at least twice as bright. I imagine it might be that the holes were bored too small on the first MBP.

With the first MBP, I was having to use my hand to reduce the amount of room light so I could see the indicators. With the new MBP, it's no problem. And, in a dark room, you can REALLY see the difference.

MacBook :: Adapter Plugged In And Light Turns Green But No Charging
It all started this evening where I plugged my adapter into my macbook to charge. Instead of the usual bright orange light, it was a very dim orange and was barely visible and flickers occasionally. When plugged in, it stated "Not Charging". After awhile, I decided to try again but this time it was a dim green. Still not charging. I tried airing it for a bit, and tried again. This time it didn't light up at all. Just a while ago, I realized it was able to charge again (Bright Orange). However, I noticed it never seemed to turn green so I tested it out by removing my battery.

Even after removing, the lights below the battery were on and moving as if it was still charging. (Hope you understand what I mean). After a while it stopped though. So I tried draining my battery. It went till about 3hrs (at 100% its 4hrs) and I tried charging it again. Immediately after connecting it, the display went to show "Fully charged" with the bright green light. I disconnected it and it stayed at 100% for a while before changing to 90%. Sometimes it works perfectly while other times it just decides to go bonkers. I will try using a diff adapter tomorrow to see if the problem is in the adapter. (Probably is)

The white front led isn't flashing anymore as expected according to the calibration guide. However, after 2 days now I still see the battery indicator flashing 5 times when I press it. MacBook Pro :: New Battery Not Hold Charge - No Green Light On Power Cable
I purchased a new battery from a third party replacement maker as the original from my macbook pro (2007)10.4.11 was barely holding a charge. Before I had the opportunity to switch them, the old battery started not even holding a charge at all, the power cord would not light up (red or green) and as soon as it was unplugged, it would go into a sleep mode, and sometimes would shut down.

Now I've got my replacement battery in. At first it worked and looked as if it would hold a charge for a while. Now it is acting the same as the old battery, the charge isn't so long and the light still never comes on. Today it also shut itself down after being unplugged. Did I do something wrong when replacing the battery? I don't want to ruin this battery too!

MacBook :: Battery Recognized But Charger Light Always Faint Green?
I am having a Power/Battery problem with a Macbook (surprise surprise!). This Macbook is the first generation, early 2006 model. It is a 2Ghz Intel Core Duo, black. This Macbook will not charge a battery, any of the 4 Macbook batteries I have tried. However, it will recognize each battery I put in (using About this Mac), and it will run on battery power when not connected to AC power. The charger light is always a very faint green light (same for both 65 and 85W chargers). Occasionally it will shine the bright green (normal) for a moment, but quickly dulls to the very faint green light.

Last night I tried swapping out the internal battery connector that I know is right for this macbook. After the installation, when I started it for the first time, the light on the charger appeared orange for the first time. I waited to see if the "charging" lights on the known-good battery would light up, but they never did. Eventually the charger returned to the same faint green color. Has anyone seen this before? From what I can tell the only parts remaining that could be the problem are the internal Magsafe connector and the logic board itself.

The plug into the computer is not lighting up either green or yellow..... Nothing at all.

So what i can gather from this there is nothing wrong with the Battery though.

Also i have tried looking at the prongs on the charger but they are fine too and same with the receiving end that is clean..

O and also the battery is at a constant 13%.... does not charge up at all

MacBook Aluminum :: Random Battery Charges - LED Light Goes Orange After Green?
I noticed that sometimes when I plug my Macbook into the charger, the LED lights up green, then goes orange. I usually use the charger extension as I tend to work farther away from the outlet. So, sometimes when the Macbook is plugged in, it will randomly stop charging. Si what I do is unplug the charger, disconnect the charger from the outlet. Separate the extension and the brick, and the put everything back. I just wanted to know if there was a way to fix this random charging issue, as I feel my method of getting the battery to charge is wearing away the battery's life.

PowerPC :: PB G4 1.67 - 15" Battery Power - Green Light Never Came On To Indicate Full Charge
Basically I'm having issues with my newly acquired Powerbook G4. When i bought it the battery was not working at all so have now installed a new replacememnnt battery which works fine but having some slight issues. So...

First time I charged it, it reached 100% but green light never came on to indicate full charge. When I run the PB off the battery it gets to 20% and it shuts down without any warning it's low on battery (trying to switch it on after this is impossible, it clearly has no life) After the above I connect the power lead and start up the computer, the battery indicator starts charging from 20% onwards. Something fishy definitely going on and I have no idea what it could be, I calibrated the battery but it has always cut off at 20% since first charge/discharge.

MacBook Pro :: Battery Indicator Lights Show Full Battery But Won't Turn On?
I have an early 2008 non-unibody MacBook Pro. For about a year now, the status of the battery has been "replace soon." I was still getting a pretty good amount of time off of one charge so I wasn't too worried. This past Saturday morning, I woke up, checked the battery indicator lights on my computer (it had been sleeping since the day before) and it said it had about 60% percent so I opened it. I was on the Internet for about 10 minutes before it shut off without warning.

It wouldn't turn back on when I pressed the power button, so I plugged it in and it turned back on. When I checked, the battery status was "replace now." After using it, I turned it back off and left for NYC for the weekend and didn't bring it with me. When I got home last night, I plugged it in and tried turning it on with no luck. The battery indicator light was flashing one light, so I just assumed it would need to charge for a bit before it would turn back on. After about two hours, when I went to bed, it still was flashing just one light. I kept it plugged in over night, and this morning when I checked it, the battery indicator lights showed that it was fully charged, but it still wouldn't turn on. I still kept it plugged in throughout the day just in case, but it still won't turn on even though all the lights are lit. Is the battery just showing me false information, or should I be worried about more than just the battery?
