MacBook Pro :: Able To Receive Email But Unable To Send

I've had my Macbook Pro since January and have my e-mail accounts set up through mail. About a week ago my cox accounts stopped sending email. The error states that the server does not recognize the smpt account. I called Cox and everything is working on their end. I can send and receive from the webmail site and my smtp is set up properly. I tried deleting the mailbox to re-set it, but it doesn't delete. It asks me if I'm sure I want to delete; I click yes; it's still there.

MacBook Pro :: Unable To Send Or Receive New Email
I can't send or receive new email. June 6th is the last time I received email and I can't get mail online. I have gone through all the trouble shooting and all the information is correct, however, it says my server name with (offline) in parenthesis and I can't edit that.

MacBook Pro :: Optimum Online Email - Only Receive But Cannot Send
I just got my macbook pro today. I use optimum online for my internet and primarily use my optimum online email account. When I set up my account, which I have done correctly by consulting with an optonline tech support staff over the phone, I am still only able to receive new email. I cannot send it. When I do, the waiting circle just spins around next to the sent box. My outgoing mail box shows the email but it never leaves my email account. This does not make sense as I have checked my settings with those on the other two macs in my house. I am set correctly.

MacBook :: Cannot Send Email But Can Receive Via Mail App
In the past few weeks, I have had major trouble in sending emails from my Macbook via the mail application (program), but I am able to receive mail fine. Any hints before I throw my Macbook onto oncoming traffic (which is also running majorly slow since the last update). I have been sitting here for about 30 mins waiting to send an email.

MacBook Air :: Office 2008 Entourage Can Send But Not Receive Email?
Purchased Macbook Air and wirelessly loaded Office 2004 from my other Macbook Pro. One week later, I updated to Office 2008 for Mac. Two months later, Entourage became corrupted: can only Send email, but not receive any; Calendar and other functions continue to sync with no problem. Also, email sent to Trash doesn't empty. Original disc unavailable at present; potential conflict with Office 2004?

OS X V10.5 Leopard :: Can Receive Email But Not Send Email
Sometimes I can send mail and sometimes I cant. When I can't I sometimes get the 'problem with outgoing server address' message, but the address is correct. Sometimes test messages sent by me to me go into the Important mailbox but not into the Inbox.Messages that have failed send end up copied several times in a folder called Bin.

OS X Technologies :: Can Receive Email But Not Send Email
I cannot send mail. This has been an occasional problem. I'd send and a pop-up would offer me choice: Cancel, ~Trash, or Save as Draft. I'd save and successfully send as a draft. The last few days I've had to the saved draft and send in  Eudora. Today I spent some time on this. At first it looked all right in Mail/Preferences/Accounts, smtp.west.cox.net.user name--then it persistently included (Offline), but Mail menu bar/ Window showed Take All Accounts Online dimmed and Take All Accounts Offline as the active option. At this time I could receive but not send mail. I have edited the smtp server list a number of times. No show of offline there. When I'm done (Offline) again pops up on theOutgoing Mail Server (SMTP). I deleted the account and recreated it and could not send. The (Offline) did not appear after the smtp.cox.net.user name. Early 2006 iMac, OS 10.6.8   The settings are OK, the same as in Eudora.

OS X Tiger :: Can't Send Receive Email From Yahoo Account Or Send From .mac Account
On 5/1, when launching Mail, it asked me to update to new settings or use old settings. I should have kept the old settings. Instead, I had to set up all of my email accounts again. Everything is working except receiving mail from my Yahoo account. Also, I can receive mail from my .mac account, but can't send from it. These accounts are working fine on my iPhone. Is there a way to restore old email settings?

All of the sudden I can't send a message using my mac.com SMTP server. Instead the message goes to my outbox with an error message "this message could not be delivered and will remain in your Outbox until it can be delivered. The sender address was rejected by the server." I can however send it using the outgoing mail server associated with my DSL address. How can I send it with my SMTP mac.com account again??

OS X :: I Can Receive Email/can't Send It?
I have a new MacBook Pro. Everywhere I go, I can send and receive emails with no problems using the Mail program. However, when I am at school, I connect to their wireless network. I receive all the emails from my Mobile-Me and Gmail accounts, but cannot send any emails out. When I connect to a different network off campus, it send out the emails that were in the queue right away.

My outgoing servers at smtp.me.com, and smtp.gmail.com. I am running Snow Leopard and the help desk at the university doesn't really deal with Macs.

OS X Leopard :: Can't Send - Receive Email / Make It Possible?
I have been unable to received/send emails for the past 6 hours. I called my ISP and we went over all the configurations and seemingly everything was up to snuff. I am able to receive/send emails if I log into the ISP website and get it from the server. This is not useful as I cannot copy my address book, nor can I use the icon in the dock. I am using version 3.6. The message I keep getting is 'the POP server “pophm.sympatico.ca” rejected the password for user .....(my email address)...'
I changed my password with the help of the technician. It seems the mail will not go from the server to my email software, and vice versa.

OS X V10.6 Snow Leopard :: Cannot Send Or Receive Email On IMac
I have Mac OS X Snow Leopard Version 10.6.8. Can't receive nor send email. I have two email addresses using ATT. One address works, the other doesn't. The bad address is behaving weirdly: In Mail, in the "On My Mac" folder labeled "Recovered Messages," the contents refer to one email sent with a PDF file (19.7 MB). This email keeps cloning itself, and I keep deleting them. I resorted to deleting the PDF file from my computer. No luck. I recently changed my email addresses from AOL addresses to ATT (powered by Yahoo) addresses, in case this has anything to do with it. Have shut down computer and modem twice with no luck. The Mail Activity window is wild with activity, none of which I understand.

Intel Mac :: Can't Send Or Receive Comcast Email
Can't send or receive e-mail on my iMac through Comcast for about 2 months now. Same problem with all users set up in the computer. Can connect ok to the internet, but can't access [url]..unless I reset Safari, then can only access once. Tried setting up new mail account, but get error message that it can't connect to server mail.comcast.net. Comcast blames it on last apple software update. I don't think that's the problem. Tried changing ports from 995 to 587 and 465 with no luck. Uncheck SSL box, no luck. Reset cable modem box, got incoming mail once, then no more. Outgoing mail still would not send.

OS X :: Unable To Send Email Through OptimumOnline From Macbook Pro / Fix It?
I can receive email, but when I try to send one I get an error. When I run the connection doctor, the CONNECTION STATUS is "mail was able to connect to the Internet". In the lower box, it says Cablevision "connection and login to server succeeded".

Underneath the Cablevision message, it says mail.optonline.net. It then shows that it's continuously trying to connect to the server.

Server V10.6 Snow Leopard :: Can Receive Email But Not Reply Or Send It
I have configured a mail server on SLS 10.6.2 and everything seems to be working for all mailboxes besides 3 of them. I did everything exactly the same so not sure what is happening. I created the following mailboxes:

info
junkmail
notjunkmail
dnsadmin
postmaster
virusadmin

I can use the info account and send email to all the accounts. However, when I reply using junkmail, postmaster, or dnsadmin the email is sent but not received by any account. The SMTP settings are the same for all accounts so not sure what's going on because they only seem to be working for 3 of them.

OS X Leopard :: Unable To Receive Email / Download Email From Victoria's Secret
Mail was working fine and then about a week ago new mail stopped even though I can see new messages on cox.net I checked all settings, exited mail, rebooted, removed mail account and then recreated it but the problem persisted. When trying to get mail the status would show that the program was trying to download about 140 new mails but then stop with a quick 'ding' and no new mail. The connection doctor was fine and most interesting was that the Get Account Info dialog was able to also see that there were messages available. Finally I opened the connection doctor again and then the details box. In the log I could see that mail was trying to download an email from Victoria's Secret. After deleting all the VS messages mail started following again. I don't know what it was about the mail that was causing the problem only that things are now working fine.

ICloud :: Unable To Send Or Receive @mac Emails?
I had an active @mac.com address and made a smooth transition to iCloud some months ago. My iCloud apple identity is my @mac.com address but since Sunday, I cannot send or receive emails with this address, only with my @me.com address. Same for iMac, iPhone and iPad.I have now spent two long phone calls with the apple help number. I then had a fast track on-line conversation with someone today for another hour to have it escalated to a senior advisor. They have tried to sort out the problem unsuccessfully - am sure they will have another go on Monday. In the meanwhile, is there anyone who has had the same problem before? I have tried changing my password on iCloud, deleting and reinstalling my iCloud on my iPhone but nothing has worked.
