Snow Leopard :: Acrobat Pro Won't Open A PDF File
I know this isn't a Mac question but I've been to Adobe and they are no help. I have PDF files that were created by Acrobat Pro that will not open when I click on the file icon yet, if I open the Acrobat program it will open the file. This is annoying. Has any one experienced this and is there a solution?

Is it possible to AUTO PRINT when opening a PDF with a specific file name?

I ask this as I always have to print invoices that are PDF's for my business that are saved as file name

Is it possible to automate the system so whenever I open a PDF file titled orders.pdf that it prints everything on the pdf without me having to click print?

Just thought it might shave of a little bit of time each day and teach me something new on my iMac.

Safari :: Open A PDF On A Webpage In It Without Acrobat Reader?
At the moment I have removed Acrobat Reader 10.3.1 because it conflicts with Safari. Preview is a perfectly fine pdf reader (and with lots of very nice features) but I don't see how I can make Preview open a pdf from a web page until it has been downloaded to file. And I have found at least one site that will not download to file before opening.

Pages 09 :: Exported PDF Looks Beautiful And Preview Not In Acrobat Reader
I created an eBrochure in Pages which looks beautiful. When I export it to PDF, it looks amazing in Preview but not in Adobe Acrobat Reader; pictures doesn't look so bright and shiny, they loom more opaque. Also fonts look kind of weird. I went to Photoshop and tried to do it there, it looks better in Acrobat Reader but texts don't print as nice as the Pages one (photos do). So my problem I guess is with the photos on Pages... What can I do to ensure that my document created in Pages and exported to PDF can have the same quality in the Reader as it has in Preview? Photos are in JPEG format and have a decent resolution I guess:

File Size 1.4 MB
With: 1200 pixels
Height: 1800 pixels
Resolution: 300 pixels/ inch
Pixel Dimensions: 6.18M

If I go ahead and click OK it opens in Preview which is fine, but why does the dialog box only show an old app that is no longer available? How this this info get filled in, and how can I fix this?

Applications :: Safari Not Opening PDF?
So, I am using Safari Beta 4 however I don't think its the beta that is the problem.

I am clicking a link to open a PDF in Safari and it brings up the window asking what program to use to open it... however, Preview is grayed out and I cannot change to "Enable All Applications" like you can normally, i guess because it's in Safari it's different.

I am pretty sure this started happening when I deleted an Adobe Acrobat Pro trial.

Any one have some insight they would like to share?

I have a G4, dual 450, 1G Ram running 10.4.11. Recently after downloading and opening an .rar file, a file named .DS_Store appeared on the desktop. I have since deleted the .rar file, but cannot delete the .DS file. It is appearing now in all of my programs, including my camera when I plug it in. I've tried ClamXav, MacScan, and DnsChangerRemovaltool, also What'sKeepingMe, but nothing can remove it. Info says it's a document, 16 KB, and it reads as date created the last time I turned the machine on. Can anyone tell me what this is and how I can get rid of it?
