MacBook Air :: Background Wallpaper Is Gone

I have no idea why, but the first thing I noticed when I turned on my MBA on the morning of Jan. 1, 2011 was that I had the Apple Mac standard background wallpaper instead of the photo that I had selected when I first setup my new MBA a month ago or more. It was easy to put the photo back, but I will forever wonder what caused this to occur.

Is there anyway I can change all my folders background to the same image by only doing it once? Or do I have to do it for each individual folder? I checked off the 'Use as Default' option and some folders still don't have the wallpaper.

IWeb 09 :: Wallpaper Background Image Not Stay Fixated?
Had a quick question about my website: [URL]. I can't seem to get my wallpaper to stay fixated, even thru scrolling, throughout each of my pages. The background image itself is 1680x1050. Even so, vertically it moves almost every page. All of my page dimensions are the same, too. Can somebody assist me please to get this to fixate? Do I need to add an HTML snippet for CCS?

Windows On Mac :: Wallpaper/desktop Background Difference?
I have Snow Leopard and will soon have Windows 7 on my Macbook. Why are the Windows 7 wallpapers so much nicer than Leopard and SL's pack?

There are some good new ones in SL, but it's still not much. The W7 RTM ones are jaw-dropping and I quickly made it the default folder for my SL backgrounds. Is it a money issue or something?

Note: I resized the pic smaller.

OS X Tiger :: IMac Not Successfully Change Wallpaper Background Color
This might be a strange question and I'm not sure where to ask this, but I am attempting to set a picture as my wallpaper background and have it centered. Of course there is the option to choose a background color to surround the photo, but for some reason it is stuck on black, even when I do pick a new color, it never actually changes it. I restarted the machine and it is still having this problem.

I have a 27 in, 3.06 C2D iMac with a 4850 video card. Ever since I installed Windows 7 I have this pixelated background issue with every wallpaper I use. The wallpapers are from interfacelift and are the correct resolution (I've tried the stock wallpapers as well). I've updated the drivers from ATi, updated bootcamp to 3.1, and I can't for the life of me fix the problem.

MacBook Air :: Bright Small Pixel Particularly On Viewing Web Page With White Background
I noticed I have one small pixel that seems extremely bright, particularly when viewing a web page with a white background. I do not see any problems with the pixel when on a dark background. I think I can live with one weird pixel problem, but in case I wanted to exchange my Air for one that does not have a pixel issue, will the Apple store allow it? Also, what's the likelihood that the Apple store would have the "ultimate" version of the 11.6"? If they do not and I have to order a new one, do they allow me to continue using my current one until the new one arrives (similar to what Dell does for their customers)?

IWeb 09 :: Position The Browser Background Or Page Background?
How do I position the browser background or page background? In iWeb when adding an image for the browser background there do not seem to be any conventional positioning controls to define the background image's position on the page or it's tiling beyond tile yes or no. In traditional web page creation you can define the background image position on the page as in top if you want it aligned to the top of the page and then define if you want it centered and then define if you want it tiled and if so if you want it tilled for X or Y or both. iWeb just sticks the browser background image dead center and that's it. That can't be right. How is a user to create a window wide (not page) header background?

MacBook :: Setting Wallpaper With Higher Resolution
I have an aluminum Macbook Unibody 13" that I just picked up off craigslist and was wondering if anyone new what I can expand the memory to. It has 2 GB Ram in it right now, and it is the 2.4 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 250 GB Hard Drive. Also I am trying to download apple wallpapers for it, but when I set it as my wallpaper it doesn't look as clear on my background as it does in the preview, even when I copy and set the one with higher resolution. I must be doing something wrong, if you don't mind could someone take me through the steps of how to properly download and apply wallpapers, as your background?

MacBook Pro :: Setting Screensaver As Wallpaper In SL?
I recall that, in Leopard, you could use TinkerTool in order to set a screensaver as your wallpaper. In Snow Leopard, however, it seems as if that option has disappeared. I have tried to use Wallsaver, but moving windows around or doing something dynamic on your computer causes the screensaver to flash or distort. Does anyone know of a good way to set a screensaver as your background without any interruptions? I don't care if the utility or application allows you to select a different screensaver than the one in System Preferences.

MacBook Pro :: Wallpaper Keeps Resetting After Reboot?
I'm having a problem where my Macbook Pro keeps resetting back to the default 'space' wallpaper everytime it boots up. When I go into the settings and click on 'Desktop & Screensaver', it changes back to the wallpaper I originally set before shutting the Macbook down, without me clicking anything else.

I've read in several places that a file needs to be deleted, something like (top of my head) 'com.apple.desktop.---' in the library folder. However, that file doesn't exist or at least I can't locate it.

MacBook Pro :: Wallpaper Set Up To Change Every 10 Min?
The first picture is my desktop. I currently have my wallpaper set up to change every 10 min. There are 3 pictures that rotate and as you see in the first picture, they are merging together...The second picture just shows some weird 5h*t. This happens almost every where. It happens a lot in YouTube. I have a MacBook pro i7 (2010). It's only 1 month old and this has been happening for like 2 weeks but it does not happen everyday. More like every 2-3 days. I have to restart my computer to fix.

MacBook Pro :: Desktop Wallpaper Changes To Lower Bit (32 To 16) Depth
I just purchased my MacBook Pro about 5 days ago. Yesterday, and today, I've noticed an odd issue in which the wallpaper mysteriously changes to a lower bit depth, sort of like changing from 32 bit to 16 bit. I have no idea why it has done this, but it's done this twice. The first time a reboot fixed it, a few minutes ago closing the lid and opening it back up fixed it.

MacBook Pro :: Retina Mac Reverting To Blue Wallpaper
I've Google to no end and the bottom line turns out to be reformat. I've tried editing the symbolic link, renaming the wallpaper in the system folder, etc. but upon reboot no matter what wallpaper I change it to, it reverts to just plain blue. The last thing I did on it before this problem occured was full screen iTunes and set my own wallpaper from within safari (right click Use as desktop Picture). The full screen iTunes bit may be the culprit upon a google result I found. Does anyone know a definiative solution to this issue? Just google '10.7.4 wallpaper' to see the countless others with this issue.

MacBook Pro :: After A Hard Reset Only Shows The Wallpaper After The Login Screen?
I recently had to turn off my MacBook Pro after it hung for a long period of time. When I turned it back on again everything started as normal and I was able to enter my password at the login screen. However, once I do so I'm just presented with the wallpaper and my (working) mouse pointer. So far, I've tried the following without success:

1. Boot in Safe Mode

2. Ran fsck from Terminal

3. Tried PRAM reset

I've seen it suggested elsewhere that I should insert the install DVD but that's not in my possession unfortunately.

OS X :: Looking For Wallpaper Folder?

Anyways, after I found it, I added some of my own wallpaper images to the folder, so that they showed up in the pre-set folders of Nature, Plants, Abstract, etc, and not in my New Desktop Wallpapers folder. Well, now I have some new backgrounds I want to add, and for the life of me I can't remember where I found that folder before! I looked in the Library and the closest thing there is the Screensavers folder, but no wallpapers. Anyone know where this is located??
