Mac Safari :: Unable To Refresh A Page - Canceled Opening The Page?

I'm using Safari 4.0.5. When I'm on the [URL] i'm unable to refresh a page because in the bottom left corner of the browser window it says "canceled opening this page". This doesn't happen everytime i'm on, and sometimes it doesn't happen, but it seems to be happening daily now. I have to open a new browser window to view the updated page. What would make this happen?

Mac Safari :: Page Will Load After Hitting Refresh Button
When I click on a link within a page that either opens a new window or tab, the page will load and not display anything until I either hit the refresh button or hit command-r. When I do hit refresh the page loads quickly. I am running Safari Version 4.04 on OS10.5.8 with an 8-core mac and 9 GB of RAM and a fast connection.

Mac Safari :: Is Safari 5 Bad For Professional Designers - Failing To Allow Refresh - Reload The Current Page
Safari 5 is failing to allow me to refresh (reload the current page). This is a very specific problem because I design websites (Dreamweaver CS4).

I've noticed that there have been little issues with refreshing concerning:
1) Small CSS change
2) small HTML changes
3) Small PHP changes

(this tells me it's not working on both server-side and Client-side changes)

This has been problematic because I don't know if I have done my job correctly if Safari cant refresh whats really there. I know it is Safari because firefox is not having the same problem.

I did some research and have completed these steps and am still having the same problem:

"If you didn't do any system maintenance before or after installing Safari 4.0.3, that could be the cause of your problem. Try this:
Quit Safari.
Use Disk Utility (in /Applications/Utilities) to Repair Disk Permissions.
1. Go to Home/Library/Cookies and delete the Cookies.plist file.
2. Go to Home/Library/Caches/ and delete the contents of that folder.
3. Go to Home/Library/Caches/ Page Previews and delete the contents of that folder.
4. If you don't want to use the Top Sites feature, open Terminal and paste in this command:
defaults write DebugSnapshotsUpdatePolicy -int 2
5. Go to Home/Library/Caches/Metadata/Safari and delete the contents of that folder.
6. Go to Home/Library/Caches/Safari and delete the contents of that folder.
7. Go to Home/Library/Safari and delete these files (if you have them):
Form Values

After completing the steps there was no change.. Still not updating.

The problem became really apparent today when I change a name-server for one of my clients and Safari continues to load the old page. While the entire world can see the new site parked on it's new name-server, I can see it on the computer that I created it on (new MacBook Pro) on the browser I prefer to use. I have a screen shot of Safari 5 showing the old site and Firefox showing the new site on the same computer screen. The name-server is completely controlled by the domain so it should be all good right? Is there some type of web optimization in Safari 5 that is screwing designers by not allowing us to refresh data?

My next step is to remove all of Safari completely and reinstall. Hopefully I can rope in my favorite browser...

Mac Safari :: Opening Show All Bookmarks Window In Page
I mean when I need to work on bookmarks, can't it open the 'show all bookmarks' window in a page I'm not looking at on the web? Ok, I can do that by holding command down but honest, would it be so hard to have it open up into a new page or tab automatically? And what about the possibility of breaking the bookmarks flyout into sections like I can do with Firefox...I'm talking about just the ability to put in some dotted lines between bookmark folders that appear in the book marks menu and bar. Is there a way to do that that I'm not aware of? This way I can say divide folders with bookmarks for music related links into a section, art related links into another. Just a visual divider so the bookmarks menu isn't one long gigantic list of folders.

Mac Safari :: FarmVille On FaceBook - Cancelled Opening Page
I had been using FireFox until recently when I switched back to Safari. It ran so much better and faster than FireFox - can't remember why I stopped using it. I updated to Safari 5 and ever since, when I try to "Share" something on FarmVille, the "Post" window won't open up and the Status Bar says "cancelled opening page." This has happened on some other websites but FarmVille seems to be the most frequent and I forgot what the other sites were anyway.

Also, when I try to send "Gifts" to my "Neighbors" only the left half of the page is visible so I cannot "send" after choosing the Neighbors I want to send gifts to. Probably none of this crap will mean anything to anyone who has never played FarmVille. BTW - I have turned on and off the "block pop-ups" several times but that seems to have no effect.

Mac Safari :: Google Analytic Website Not Opening / This Page Has Encountered An Error That May Prevent It From Working Correctly
I just updated to Safari 5 last week and have been having the same kind of issues that other people are posting here about slowness and inability to find servers and crashes etc.

My biggest issue now is that Google Analytics website no longer works. It worked just fine in Safari 4x and works fine in every other browser I've used on a Mac or PC. In Safari 5 part of the page loads and then a pink rectangle appears at the top center of the page that says:

"This page has encountered an error that may prevent it from working correctly."

Safari :: Password For New Modem Not Opening Config Page?
New ADSL Modem/Router from ISP.A Zyxel P-660HN-T1A_1Pv6 Only wanted the modem function as I use Time Capsule and an Airport Express to extend the signal. On bringing up the modem web page and login box for device configuration, my password is not accepted using Safari ( My default browser)I have managed a successful login with Firefox(on adjusting permissions) and immediately with Opera and Google Chrome.I use "wireless"off and the Open DNS servers, but the login failed initially while showing my ISP's DNS addresses To add to the confusion, a friend who was visiting today with his laptop was able to access my device configuration with his Safari (which he doesn't use usually) I am left with the conclusion that there is something in my Safari setup which is blocking the browser from accepting the password. For the life of me I can't identify it and other than checking others' setups I don't know where to go from here.

Mac Safari :: When Print A Web Page Printout And Preview Does Not Match On-screen Web Page Look
When I try to print a web page, the printout (and preview) does not match the on-screen web page look. Does anyone know why that is? For example, the fonts change to Times New Roman, links appear underlined, the format changes, and some images disappear altogether. I am using a Dell laser 1720, but the issue occurred also on an (albeit old) Dell Inspiron laptop. (I believe this was not a problem using a newer Dell desktop, though...)

So my question is two-fold:

1. Why is this happening?
2. Where are the settings to change it?

OS X :: Can't Get To Google Search Page And Get Error Message Safari Canít Open Page
I seem to be having a hell of a time with all google related things. About 50% of the time I can't get to the google search page and get the error message Safari can't open the page [URL] because Safari can't connect to the server. When I am able to get into gmail, I am constantly being disconnected from gchat, like every 5 minutes. When it disconnects, it will try to reconnect, most of the time unsuccessfully. I then get the error message, unable to reach gmail please check your internet connection. This happens no matter what browser I use. However, when I try to connect from my husband's PC (same network), everything is fine. I've tried emptying my safari cache, tried uninstalling and re-installing both safari and firefox, and I am out of ideas. Any ideas about what is going on, and how I might fix this issue. I searched through the google help, and there were similar problems posted (none recently), but no answers on how to solve the issue. This has been going on for about a week now, and it's driving me up a wall.
