Mac Safari :: Font Formatting All In Bold

Every time I use Safari, or any other web browser on my mac, when I go to my yahoo mail or search on Google, the font formatting is all in bold. I don't know how to change this.

Mac Safari :: 3 Font Too Bold - How To Adjust Bold
The problem does not exist in Safari 2, and removing the bold just makes the font look regular (as you would expect it to look without a bold attribute). I even tried using numeric bold values (100-900), but they all display the same.

what this issue might be and, more importantly, how to resolve it?

OS X V10.4 :: Change Bold Font On Safari 4.1.3?
Recently replaced my internal hard drive and had to re-download and update everything... Forgot which version of Safari I had before with my OS X 10.4.11, so I got Safari v4.1.3... It works great, but I know the bold fonts were never THIS bold. Here is what I'm currently looking at:

I tried selecting "Never use font sizes smaller than 9", and I even tried "Empty Cache" as well as "Reset Safari...", but it's still ridiculously bold.

The program does not offer a substitute and this happens to be my favorite font, which I use in all my websites. The text in all my pages appears stacked as if the kerning was corrupt. There is no way to fix this through the inspector nor through the font window. i tried to look for this font on the internet to add it to my fonts suitcase, but I cannot find it as written in the error message (Arial-BoldItalicMT)

OS X :: Changing Font Formatting For Footnotes On IWork (Pages)
It's easy enough creating a template to change the default fonts for pages, but what I can't work out is how to change the default font and font size for footnotes/endnotes. It should be different from the main body in terms of size, but the same font. I found a script on the apple support forums, but 1. it doesn't do what I want it to do and 2. I haven't the foggiest about apple scripts.

OS X :: Font In Firefox & Safari - Rogue Font Has Hijacked My Web Fonts?
I just got some internet going again after having moved. I've had my new Octopus for a few weeks tho. So much to my surprise, I open up my gmail account and it's practically unintelligible. Some weird cartoon like font is my default font. As far as I can tell, all the default fonts are activated and all the settings point to the activated fonts, but this is driving me absolutely F__KING bonkers. Has anyone ever had this problem? Now to be fair, I did install some fonts from a semi questionable font disk a week or two ago, so maybe some rogue font has hijacked my web fonts.

Mac Safari :: "sans-serif" Font Assignment In CSS Not Happy In Safari?
[URL]The Safari is the bad one; the Firefox is the way the page SHOULD look. I have been having this problem now for about 8 weeks, but I cannot pinpoint where it came from as the update to Safari and the installation of the new MS Office 2008 ran consecutively. Regardless, now any style sheet that just has "sans-serif" with NOTHING else as a font assignment shows up this way. It looks like it may just be a character encoding issue, because Safari does not have Western IS0-8859-1. I assumed Western ISO Latin-1 was the same, but I don't think that's true because I have seen many negative posts relating to Western ISO Latin-1 on developer sites all over the net. I chose Roman and it doesn't fix it, btw. Any clues???? This is going to force me to bag Safari till they fix this problem.

Mac Safari :: How To Change Font For Webpages
I'm using a Macbook and using the latest version of Safari in it. Of late, my fonts have changed. And even after changing them to my desired fonts (through Safari Preferences), I could not view the pages in Changed fonts. For Example, my gmail account was getting displayed in Verdana. And now, its in some obscure font - which is not chosen in preferences. This is not getting changed even after changes made to Preferences. Also, there is no change in the Text Encoding. I have tried the time tested method of removing Safari and reinstalling the same.

The font is abnormally large.  When I use the zoom font only feature it doesn't change much.  When I use the regular zoom commands, all the graphics zoom like normal, but any the font of any of the links remains huge.  So large that a lot of websites are unusable b/c all the links run together. This issue is on an 10.7 using safari 5.1.

Mac Safari :: Increasing Font Size Widens Margins Than Screen
This new version is absolutely useless. I will have to switch browsers. When I increase the Font size to make microscopically sized web pages legible, the margins become wider as if they were programmed with an absolute character width.

So the text becomes readable, but it now extends beyond the edge of my screen, forcing me to scroll back and forth endlessly. Also, when I open a new Tab, it takes forever to open. It must have to do with filling it with the Top Sites graphics. How do I turn OFF "top site" display?

Mac Safari :: Search Bar Font Size And Buttons Too Large In Google?
I have this really weird problem where the font size in the search bar in google is very large and the buttons are not the oval mac buttons, but are rectangular and also large, but all the other fonts on the page are the correct size. I have so far tried:

changing the font size (which changes the size of everything and the text size in the search bar is corrected but everything else is too small and the buttons are still rectangular)
restarting safari
restarting my computer
clearing my history
emptying the cache
removing all cookies and website icons

Under the appearance tab in safari the standard font is times 16 and fixed-width font is courier 13, which is the exact same as my friends who does not have the problem. Also in the advanced tag the option to "never use font sizes smaller than ..." is unchecked.

Mac Safari :: Styling Lists - Font Size Does Not Obey CSS Declaration
I have a form where I would like the select lists to appear as 14px. Using Web Inspector n Safari, I can see that the select lists are marked as 14px, but the computed style says 11px. If I increase the font-size to 15px, the displayed size doesn't change, but at 16px, the computed style jumps to 13px and won't go higher no matter how large I make the font-size. If I decrease it to 10px, it jumps down to 9px, and it won't go lower than that.

So it appears that Safari for Mac has only 3 possible sizes of select lists - 9px, 11px and 13px. What is the possible explanation for such a bizarre behavior for an otherwise excellent piece of software? I might add that the situation is even more bizarre when you consider that 13px is much closer in size to my desired 14px than is 11px, and that just leaves me even more befuddled.

Mac Safari :: Won't Work With Apple Symbols Font On The Web
I am trying to develop a website that is tailored to iPhone users and maintains the basic look & feel of a typical iPhone App. I noticed there is a font called Apple Symbols that contains the glyphs that I would like to use. When I try to apply the font-family in my CSS file to "Apple Symbols", it just falls back to whatever font was listed next. At least this is how it works on my iPhone.

It's almost as if the font is not recognized or something.
